I was originally a dub only kind of guy, but as series came out, the wait for many of them was just too long. So, I started watching subbed and I really think the Japanese seiyuu do a much better job of transmitting emotion into the stories than most English actors who seem to be just reading the script. Now, of course, 95% of what I watch is subbed. I suppose it's just a matter of personal taste and either is OK with me. I can usually count on good effort out of Crispin Freeman, Jonny Bosch, Kari Wahlgren, Laura Bailey, etc.. They are real Pro's.

I see you are planning to watch Ai Yori Aoshi. That series has some moments of brilliance. I thought the first couple episodes were outstanding. The end is also great. The middle is where I had trouble with it. But, I will not tell you anything about it to save your viewing pleasure.

You are watching Karin (Chibi Vampire). I loved that one. I think you will get a kick out of it!

I tried to watch DearS years ago...I just could not get into it. I would not try again. I saw the first volume and that is all I'll ever watch of it. I thought it was pretty bad.

I have both seasons of Girls Bravo, but I have not watched more that 1 episode. That was also years ago. I will get to it someday.

Maburaho was good, then not so good , then good again. The first 12 episodes were great up thru Kazuki turning to ash to save Yuuna. Then those ghost episodes were pretty poor. Then, from the ending of the school trip to the end of the series was also quite good. It would have been a great series without those 8 or so episodes in the middle.

Have you watched H2O - Footprints in the Sand? Another friend of mine who does not care much for Harem anime said that one is really good. I am downloading it right now.

I saw your recommendation and just wanted to say that Maburaho is really the only Harem anime that ever truly worked for me. It's cute, funny and at times quite intense. Harem anime in general is just too stupid for me. There are a few exceptions, but it's not my favorite genre, far from it. I have Girls Bravo, but have never watched it.
