So fairy tail's anime has come to a sudden end and thus i find myself with the urge to give out my thoughts on this series. i hope you enjoy it! and i hope you understand that my English is not the best and what i'm saying is merely an educated opinion ^^ also all of my review should be spoiler free.
Story: 6/10
The story is driven by arcs and its structured so each of them features a big boss. the reasons i gave a 6 are: weak development and consistency.
weak development comes into play when i think back to when i started the series. 175 episodes have passed and if you look back to the start how much has the character changed? what about what events have changed drastically the plot? for a 175 episodes, not enough in my opinion.
consistency comes into play when i think about all the things they make up. some spells look so overpowered and end up being weak later on. (rune magic for example) there are many spells that feel that they are just there because the author wanted to create this type of scenario rather than being consistent.
Art: 9/10
No complains here but still not my favorite. The animation is well done and the art has a good style to it.
Sound: 10/10
One of the best soundtracks i have heard in a while. they are many memorable songs and they really give an awesome mood to the show. definitely one of the reasons that made me stick to the show.
Character: 7/10
characters are fine. they is little development in the 175 episodes that i have watched as i said before. however this is not a big deal. my biggest complain about character is that they are over ridiculed. by this i mean they tend to exaggerate certain ridicule characteristics like Natsu's inability to ride vehicles or gray stripping (and everybody overreacting to it). i mean they are fun and all it just that sometimes it is too extreme.
Enjoyment: 8/10
my main problem is that often a very serious and epic mood is broken by a bad placed joke (the scene cut animation also help in this). don't get me wrong i really enjoy comedy i just think that placing comedy in the middle of the climax is really mood breaking. other than that the series was pretty enjoyable. i have to admit that i watched some of it fast forwarding some parts because of redundancy but that was ok.
overall: 7/10
A series that you can enjoy but not a masterpiece at all or something i will put in my favorite list. read more

I will refer to this anime as Anohana because the other names is too long.
This is one of those animes that hit me at the exact moment. i just graduated from school and went to a foreign country to study college. i missed my childhood friends and this is just what the anime talks about.
Its really sad when you lost your bonds with those who you loved soo much. in tha case of this anime this was caused by the dead of one of the group.
so this anime is great if you can understand the characters which is fairly easy. can you imagine loosing your best friend? yeah, it must really hurt. each one of the group went through their own way to run from this fact. 10 years latter the dead friends appears again. why? that's what the anime is about so find it out ;) but this phenomena brings the group back again what have changed after 10 years? things are not like it used to be. they are not childs playing anymore....
The STORY is really good and caught me off guard as i told you before. however i do feel there are some plot holes or just things without sense but you they are very few.
ART is great i don't have a single complain. characters are not beautiful but well thats the world right?
SOUND is AMAZING the ending specifically is one of those songs that makes you buy the whole ost.
CHARACTERS have a great development although i think they didn't behave that "naturally" anyways you can pretty much identify yourself with some of their characteristics.
I really ENJOYed the series. the story is cute and has a lot of feeling in it i can recommend it for anyone who likes this kind of story (shoujo-ish)
OVERALL outstanding anime from spring 2011! read more

C... first of all.... hate the name. you get a 1206500 results if you search "C" and the long name is hard to understand because you have a short one. -.-
Now C is WEIRD. i mean throw in some pokemon/digimon add economy 101 words and concepts and finish it up with a touch of charly and the chocolate factory. yep, it's hard to imagine isn't it?
Story: 8/10
So the basic thing is there is other real where you can fight with your "future" to get money (yei!), devil money (awww).
The story although it's weird its very original and it managed to catch my eyes. it deals with some philosophical issues obviously about money and if its better to keep the present or the future (ala code geass?)
However a story that deals with this needs way more development. the anime is too short to solve all the questions and too litle focus is given to the philosophical aspect of this.
Art: 7/10
The art is also weird. like i said before the concept art kind of remind me Charley and the chocolate factory (without the childish part): Randomness. the altarnate world is full of colors floating things and monsters which i guess it was unnecessary... however the animation was pretty good so still the art is not an excuse not to watch this.
Sound: 7/10
Well nothing good nothing bad. you know everything is fine here but nothing astonishing.
characters: 7/10
So there is mild development but as i said in story part: there are to much unsolved questions. i feel that maybe 2 characters had a good development the rest of them finished without an explication of why they did that or what are they.
enjoyment: 8/10
quiet enjoyed the series. even though its weird, its original i just feel they could have done a better job. some parts are kind of depressing though :/
overall: 7/10
Good. not good enough but still, digestible. Go ahead if you like mild darkish shonen anime.

Have you ever wonder whats the road to take in order to be a mangaka? are you prepared to see your dreams of becoming a mangaka with the single master piece that you in your mind? well this doesnt have to do with the anime itself but might happen as a secondary effect.
now on topic, bakuman... what a unique piece. i found myself trapped by it even though it doesnt particularly excells at anything.
Story: 9/10
As you may expect from slice of life, its pretty simple. however its pretty unique, i mean manga about manga? (since this anime came from a manga). the main topics are romance and the pursuit of ones dreams. this may seem pretty cliche but the way the present this is pretty original and also pretty realistic.
Art: 7/10
I like most of it. but i dont know you but im fan of big eyes. i mean i think is one of those elements which characterize anime. dont take it the wrong way i have seen little eyes work i just feel that the girls would look better with bigger eyes (guys look ok). other aspects of the animation and art are ok but nothing outstanding.
sound: 7/10
There were one or two songs i really didnt like. the other ones were just ok there is no song that made me want to buy the ost. also there are moments where i feel they try to listen to a full song with no reason which made up for some boring moments maybe this would be more on enjoyment aspect but i will include it here.
characters: 9/10
great. not a masterpiece but great. the love between the main characters is pretty cute and original. their feelings are inspiring and each character is well designed. you get to undesrtand them pretty easily and its fun to watch them interact. also main characters are nothing special (for now) so anime is pretty realistic except for one side character you wont see out of ordinary skills
enjoyment: 8/10
the originality of this anime made it pretty enjoyable. i found myself sticked to it even though it doesnt really excel at comedy, epicntheess or romance. but i think that the acumulation of "good" on each category is what made it so enjoyable.
overall: 8/10
Recomended if you are looking for something light. read more

Ok, first of all i didnt get to watch all episodes. the reason im still writting this review is because this is aimed to give a warning to the people planning to watch this show and the fact is that its boring. (reasons below)
anyways im not leaded by subjectivity and this review is done in the most objective way possible.
Now that i said this lets begin with the review.
first of all, katanagatari is a show that really attracted me. i mean i looks good, has acceptable number of episodes and the story has potential to good comedy and action. i feel this is the reason why its so overated as you see most of the reviews here have really good scores. my theory is that those are made because people start this show with the illusion its good and keep believing in it cause its potential. however im not.
Now, strong points:
-The art and animations are beautifull, you get attracted to it when you see it and its very easy to get use too for being that unique.
-formula that cant fail: action+comedy+romance usually is the way to go if you want target general public.
-story seems very good. its simple but that simplicity manage to tell you what to expect.
-The actions scenes are great. the fights are dinamic and with cool techniques
Now the flaws:
-Senseless dialogs. huuuge flaw i mean, i feel they went for 45minutes episodes because they wanted to speak more. i mean it could easily be a 21minute episode if you were to erase that. and its not comedy, they try to explain every little thing they do even its too obvious. it really annoys you if 90% of the episode is talking.
-Short action. for a 45min episode i would expect a good amount of action. however not only the action scenes are very short they are caught between senseless dialogs.
-Bad comedy. really a lot of jokes are just not funny. however they manage to pull out some good ones but screw them out. how would you say? well they take a good joke and talk about it for 10 minutes when the joke just isnt funny anymore.
-having a narrator is annoying to much to explain here.
-Lack of characters. i mean besides the two main characters and maybe one more there are no other characters that you would expect to see in other episodes which makes each episode less related to the previous one.
-the first fight i was really looking for wasnt shown. really maybe a good prank for your cousin but its lame when you expect a good fight and end up with a dialog of how good the fight WAS.
There may be more to these lists but i state again i HAVENT seen all episodes but i have to say if the first 5 episodes didnt attract someone (half the series) the other half is wasted cause everyone will drop the series before it. so maybe all thsi flaws are repaired in the next half i dont know but if you want to risk and go for 5 boring episodes go ahead.

Cuteeeeeeeeeeee series as you may infer, no doubt of that. however i'm gonna try to do a more objective review putting aside the sweetness of yuzuyu (even though its really hard *__*)
First of all, i enjoyed the show its pretty low paced and cute. there is some drama but nothing in comparison to other series. you dont feel the urge to marathon the series but still you want to keep watching. overall good serie to bring up little smiles.
story: 8/10
good enough score for a slice of life anime. the story is just the life of this little kid and a teenager. also the anime doesn't completely end so be prepared to end up with some unresolved questions.
Beware that the synopsis may be misleading. "Katakura Kippei is in every way a high school playboy. Spending his days flirting with any female he can see, responsibility is the last thing on his mind." you would expect a troubled teenager that doesnt want to take care of the kid and up doing everything wrong. this in the most part is totally false. kippei shows he is a good boy from start to end.
art: 8/10
little bit outdated. sometimes i felt that the head of yuzuyu was way to big even though that was the intention. it's matter of getting use to it.
sound: 7/10
weak. the show has a good soundtrack that somehow matches the enviroment. however its the lack of variety that i didnt like. there is just one op and ed for 26 episodes not even the sound between comercials was changed. so at the end i kind of got bored of the same tracks (background music is also very repetitive).
character: 9/10
good characters. As i said before kippei is described wrongly in the synopsis he is just the incarnation of a good guy. yuzuyu in the other hand, is a normal 5 year old kid.... without everything bad that a 5 year old kid has. i mean everything she does/say is sooooooooo cuteeeeeeeeee is hard to believe that a child like that exist.
with this said. characters in this anime tend to be to idealistic or to exaggerated. they are too quite, too aggressive, to cute, too nice..etc so its pretty unrealistic.
enjoyment: 9/10
This series is like looking at cute cat videos you enjoy it even if they are doing uninteresting things. people who doesnt like cuteness stay away!
overall: 8/10
Good, not epic. there are no remarkable moments of tears, fights, anger, romance but its overall good... read more

I wasn't sure when i started watching one outs i mean, psicological baseball??? thats pretty hard to pull out for a 27 episode anime. however, i realized, this anime has a baseball theme but doesnt focus on baseball it's all about gambling and someone who is the masters of masters in gambling.
Story: 8/10
the story is pretty original, a man that can only throw straigh balls at a speed of a high school student pitching on professional league. however, i find the story lacking of climax. there are many times when you just know that Toa is gonna win just because he owns.
another negative aspect is the ending. however i'm not spoiling it but i leaves you wanting more.
art: 9/10
Good art, some characters are a little bit odd but who cares! the art follows a stablished style and follows it neatly.
sound 8/10
Well, the opening didnt sound like an opening and this series didnt left a memorable song which i wanted to download so i just find it "aceptable"
character: 10/10
Toa owns. thats all xD
well beside that other characters are well developed, true to their beliefs every character is very peculiar and behaves acording to their roles. however the serie could get this score only because of the coolness of toa, sincerely.
enjoyment 9/10
eventhough sometimes you are going to know that Toa wins its still intresting to see how he does this. really enjoyable serie.
overall: 9/10
good series for anyone who enjoys psicological games. don't come here seeking for romance there is just one female character and it's a fat woman who you are going to see only on chap 1 and 2 xD read more

Gurren lagann is a show that could have easily earned a 10/10 from my person but a lot of Little details summed up to bring down the score. It’s pretty hard to explain this without spoiling some parts but I will try my best not to give any spoilers.
Story: 9/10
One word: epic. The story is great the issues are not trivial as other series where you could easily define who is right and wrong; it’s more like a battles between ideologies since everyone thinks there are doing what is best for all.
The story has a humble start: a lonely and poor boy finds a power and decides to use it to archive freedom with the help of his “brother” who inspires him to continue. However, later on the pace starts to speed up until epic proportions (maybe too epic).
He lost the point to 10/10 because the world itself is too unreal. There is not even science fiction on it; they just did what they wanted.
Art: 9/10
Yeah mechas are ugly but that was the point of the artist (or that’s what I want to think). The world itself is like a “joke world” to add extra comedy to the series and the art just fits well for this purpose.
Sound: 9/10
Well music is good but they lack of the heartbreaking song that every show must have to archive de 10/10 in this category. Other than that you will find it enjoyable not a lot to say here.
Characters: 8/10
Development of the characters is good and there is enough diversity of characters that are mostly well done. Then, why 8? Well it Is simple, the way they behave as “society” is not acceptable for me there are times when you will be like “WTF? Why they’re doing that?” also I can’t give such a higher score to a series where absolutely every main character is an idiot (exept for one or two) at least give them other special ability other than “determination”.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Enjoy it as a masterpiece series nothing to say here.
Overall: 9/10
Usually a show lower its score for big problems like boringness or stupidity but this shows lower its score for accumulations of very little things. Overall, it’s a masterpiece with minor mistakes totally epic.
*-minor spoilers here don’t keep reading if you don’t want to be lightly spoiled-*
Ok to finish up I will add little things for the ones who doesn’t care to be lightly spoiled and want to know more about the score. pretty short.
The series is divided on episode 1-15 and episode 17-27 (16 is recap). 1-15 you’ll say: good show! And 17-27 you’ll say: epic!!!!! What is wrong is that 17-27 you realize 1-15 is crap. Also you realize there was an easier route of success but the characters dumbness screw it. Other minor things: the galaxies behave like solid disks, people care more about what they have than their lifes, material just pup up from nothing and others.

Wow.... the best short series i have ever seen. as a short serie it deserves a short review i guess.
story: 10/10
Great, you cant expect anything complex in series like this but its simplicity manages to drag you and its just the type of story you want on a 20minutes series.
art: 8/10
sometimes the drawing get a little bit deformed and there are a lot of grayscale parts.
sound 9/10
they fit, some of them are outstanding some are very meh...
character 10/10
CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. you cant tell pretty well the story even if they dont actually talk.
enjoyment 10/10
enjoyed every single second of this
overall 9/10
cant put a 10 a serie like this but really, a must watch for cuteness lovers! anyways it takes 20 minutes xD read more

My first impression of this show was "another sport-themed anime? ¬¬". yeah i was expecting something like prince of tennis or captain tsubasa with baseball (you know, naturally impossible balls and over reacting of the game). it comes out that i was wrong.
This anime more than centering on just baseball, gives a great enphasis in friendship, values and, of course, romance. The techniques are not unnatural, there are no super curve balls or balls that gets in flames and destroy the other one's bat. instead this is a relaxing and ejoyable anime with a slow pace.
This means that its great if you are not searching for epicness or heart breaking anime but a quite "awwww" anime.
Story: 9/10
The story is simple but it develops very well. It manages to get some twits that you would never expect and overall there are no real fillers so its pretty much 50 episodes of story. (it sounds to much for an anime but believe me, you will want more)
Art: 8/10
One of the aspects that make me consider not watching it. Sometimes i feel the drawings are a little bit deformed and the animation is a little bit old. however the it is pertty fluid and that helps a lot for the baseball match to look great. its just matter to getting use to it.
sound: 8/10
Not epic but good. didn't like the ending, the op was just fine but there were two songs that were pretty good. nothing more to say.
character: 10/10
This is why i loved the series, the characters are just so well developed you actually get very identified with them. You can understand them without having to explain it verbaly. there is a great variety of characters and each of them is instresting in their own way (exept for senda, over-anoyed me sometimes). i would say this is the strongest point in the series.
Enjoyment: 10/10
i got pretty stuck with the series, again i really enjoyed it so pretty selfexplanatory rating. this series manages to give you exitement, laughts and tears in a very light way. good to rest from those shocking animes :)
In conclusion, don't watch this series if you are searching for shocking OMG AWSOME ADICTING UBER EPIC anime that will leave you traumatized for a week.
hope this review has help you! read more
