I bought the two volumes of All You Need is Kill as soon as they were for sale. The moment I heard the ST&RS author and Takeshi Obata were gonna be in charge of the manga adaptation, I knew this was a must buy.

I just wanna clarify that as of this moment, I have not read the original "All You Need Is Kill" novel, so I'm just gonna be talking about the manga and won't make any comparison with the original work.

First of all, I must say it's been a while since I've enjoyed a series as much as I enjoyed Sakamichi no Apollon.

The story itself has an amazing pace, and in my opinion, has the perfect combination of romance, drama and music. The developments feel very natural and there are no fillers. The only "complain" I can have from the story is that the ending might feel a little unsatisfying. Luckily, if you end up feeling unsatisfied like me, you can read the extra volume from the manga and I can assure you that you'll feel a lot better after reading it.

Mixed Feelings
Well, I really didn't have the intention of reading this. Just happened that I was passing by a local comic store and they were selling the three volumes with discount so I said: "Why not?"

I was very surprised when I realized this work was done by the same author of Ikkitousen, which brings me to first important point about this manga, the art is beautiful. As you can expect from a man used to drawing the bodies of beautiful ladies, Godeath is no exception. If you only want to look at beautiful art, this is the manga for you.
