About inzaratha
I have been writing an epic fantasy novel, "The Stone + The Feather" for more years than I had hoped and as I'm am an artist now starting doing it as a graphic novel as well. I originally came up with it while riding my horse in the woods as a kid.

My art site http://inzaratha.deviantart.com/gallery/

I have some other ideas I would like to make into graphic novels so I am currently working on learning how to use computer graphic art programs. I get held back by computer memory and time as I work a lot of hours full time and read a lot too. I do my best thinking while doing something else at the same time, like coming up with story ideas while riding, or listening to music, or doing artwork while watching shows. I'm an introvert and a lot better at writing and being online than I am with actually talking to people...

I am a big fan of Stargate SG 1 and Atlantis, and other sci-fi shows like Serenity/Firefly, Smallville, Supernatural, etc and love martial arts movies and medieval settings.

Interests include reading manga, sci-fi and fantasy, martial arts, horses - equestrian, art, music, anime and movies

or anything with good looking guys fighting. :)

I have college BA's in both fine art and history. I especially like the Black Death and the Renaissance.

I have trained horses professionally, worked in a museum, taught horse sculpture in a museum, owned an art gallery, worked in a library and in schools.
For a career now, I work with troubled teens/ juvenile delinquents in a locked residential school-
Think of it like Hogwarts meets reform school in the desert. with a tan

I like to write, draw, read and explore places either mentally or psychically and spend a lot of time online cause I don't sleep and usually busy cause I have a brain that does not shut off. I also drink lots of coffee and tea.
My favorite authors are Tolkien, Tad Williams, Mercedes Lackey, Terry Goodkind, Terry Prachett and Ayn Rand, Edgar Allen Poe, Ray Bradury, Robert Frost.
Currently taking Korean karate - Kukyidou and Judo.
In the future I would like to learn to read and or speak Japanese and Korean but I'm not much of a speaker, even in English I'm better at writing than talking. But I would like to know the language, even if I never actually speak to a human in it. My second language is French. I enjoyed learning obscure languages like elvish or runes too.

I listen to a lot of music. Favs include Nightwish, Apocalyptica, HIM, Versailles, Linkin Park,Within Temptation, Amorphis, Bach, the Gazette - metal, classic and celtic and visual kei I like music that is actually good musically.

My music radio http://www.last.fm/user/inzaratha

I have a long term relationship with a musician.
his band/ songs - Luminatus (symphonic metal if you like evanescence or nightwish check it out) http://www.reverbnation.com/luminatus4
http://www.jango.com/music/Luminatus?l=0

Webtoons - I like a bunch of ones not on MAL.

I'm reading a Korean novel in translation called "The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor" and watch some dramas recently -before I mostly watched Lots of martial arts movies, I just watched 49 days, Boys Over Flowers, Secret Garden, City Hunter, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, You're Beautiful, My Love From Another Star, The Heirs and Heartstrings I'm watching Faith and Rooftop Prince.
http://mydramalist.info/user/28048/inzaratha/dramas

I actually started watching some anime and martial arts as a little kid cause my best friend was a half-Japanese boy with a talking pet crow, but he returned to Japan. (I know sounds like some weird manga but my life is weirder...) I got into it again later from fantasy / sci fi and then discovered 7 years ago or so I really enjoyed reading shoujo and a lot of others. It's the perfect blend of art and story and I'm addicted to manga. lol
I have a lot of series that I love reading, and I enjoying discussing chapters with people as the people irl that I know don't read what I read, hence online.

Yes I unabashedly do enjoy shoujo! Which is odd because I am not very feminine mentally. I like romances and fantasy, supernatural stories, mysteries, but I also like to read seinen, josei and some shounen, crime dramas etc. I prefer reading over watching, but when I watch anime my preferences are different from my reading ones, I prefer more action and supernatural or fantasy or mystery and slice of life to watch.

Right now I am trying to complete more of the ones on my too huge list!

If you send me a friend request, please write or message me to say why.

I did have a good Easter I actually went back home and ate with my family. It was fun since it's been awhile, and I haven't been able to see them recently. I hope you had a good one as well :)
Weddings are always fun! I've been to a few in my lifetime and I truly enjoy them. I used to watch cooking shows and such but not anymore really I don't watch tv like that anymore. I'm always on my laptop trying to do homework, watch anime, read manga, etc. So no I don't know that tv show you mentioned. Sorry about that.

I hate teachers who do that as well. We got our test back today and the highest score was a 71 and the class average was a 44! Is he happy about this? Its completely ridiculous that your students have such a low average that means something is wrong with his teaching at this point, he didn't cover the material very well. Ugh! It pisses me off.

I like Lee Min Ho's acting of course, as well as his looks. I also like Kim Soo Hyun for his acting and his looks. He's just a good looking young actor. So whatever he is in I'm going to watch it lol. His acting can improve a bit, especially his facial expressions but for how he is now, its alright with me.

So what new animes have you been watching lately and any new mangas as well?

purplicious | 04-20-14, 5:32 PM
Sure thing, thanks for accepting! :D

Sorry for such a late reply. I really have no excuse other than just pure laziness! I'm truly sorry and I will try to respond quicker from now on. But its been a hectic last two weeks for me. I've been studying for two test and one of them was all for naught seeing that it was extremely difficult and there was no point in studying in the first place. The whole class was in utter shock because it was so ridiculous.

But I like Lee Min Ho he is a great actor and hes easy on the eyes as well. Although there was a time when I thought his head was too big lol I still have yet to finish City Hunter and I even tried to rewatch it to jog my memory up to the point I stopped and now I have to do that again. I need to just finish it! It was a good story so I don't know why I haven't finished it yet. Have you seen a kdrama called 'Midas'? that was really good if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.
I love Dengeki Daisy and I've always been a 'sucker for romance' type girl. I like to read them, in terms of animation I rather see action though.

Trying to get fellow Americans to listen to foreign music is certainly difficult. But even more so for African Americans as you can see I'm black and I've tried to get some of my friends to try out new music and they say no! lol most of the time they will like the beat but say "well I don't know what they are saying" I never fail to get that line. Never, Every single last person says that. To me, it doesn't matter, you can always looks up the lyrics later. Just feel the music for now and listen with your heart. I do have a few friends who I talk to about jrock and kpop so there are a few around, thankfully. I grew up listening to Lauryn Hill and other music my mom loved, and now I love that music as well. I'm very diverse in my music as well, I feel that there is so much music how could you limit yourself to one genre of music with so many melodies, arrangements, and vocals out there. How could you not venture into the unknown and find something totally new and inspiring. I will say this; I highly dislike country music ...ehhh not for me lol

and I'll check out those bands, i can't promise you when but I will definitely get to it when I can :)

Sorry sorry late reply :( we celebrate New year during April when Pisces moves into Aries LOL it’s kind of hectic as in preparing treats til 4.00 AM and such :/
Yep disappearance was rather old, but it’s kinda scary for some reason, and Paranormal Activity 4 has been released na, I still don’t have the guts to watch it. XD Ah yes, the skin walkers, are those the one whom you said that jumps from roof to roof at night? :O

Oh you do watch a lot of K-drama than I do! :P I know that K-drama does have amazing story lines and such, kinda heart warming and teary and also the actors are kind of “beautiful” to see LOL but I kinda despise the pronunciation of the language, the traditional K-drama’s are kind of amazing to watch, such a unique culture and customs, although I still detest keeping several concubines in any culture btw -_-

Gosick was amazing, It had mystery/romance and some action, the background story is good. And also the ending was fair XD Lucky for you! You could say that I did grew up watching horror but Ghost Adventures were kind of difficult for me to handle at first LOL now actually I’m just impressed, not scared LOL Oooh in the lates GA eps, they hired these two psychics, husband and wife, husband channels the energies and give predictions whilst the wife draws the picture of the related deceased person.! That was one of the amazing things I’ve ever seen.

Whoa, that’s scary. I guess that’s where “Luck” plays a part lol. I hope my bro wouldn’t get caught up with weird dangerous people :( he got selected to Texas first, but they were slow at responding so he chose South Dakota instead. *shrugs* well, I would like to see how he’s gonna do stuff alone in the apartment LOL Thankfully there are not much serial killers here, there are the political bullies and thugs who rule the territories but that’s it. Ah yes, I have heard a lot about Bloody Mary, has anyone really seen her? Oh so candy man is another thing related to saying their name huh? Never heard about him though. Sacrificing animals are done here by the Tamil temples as a ritual for the great demon-goddess but I doubt she really accept them though. On every full moon we have a holiday and yeah, I believe the power of the thirteenth LOL (no really, we once slept with a snake in a room, and it was in room 13)

Whoa that was really dangerous! We tried the Ouja board, I think once it didn’t work, and the other times, we refused. My grandfather was an expert at it, seems like he knew a way to summon angels through the board and such. My dad is kind of against it even though he is really experienced at it LOL Well at least you didn’t get asked for blood right? XD Well we went ghost hunting around the school on free periods ^^ of course in banned areas XD

Ah yeah, Indian exorcisms are less creepier than hours and more Psychological, some people act like monkeys LOL (there was a monkey god called Hanuman in the scriptures) And our most exorcisms are like conversing with the demons and such, people here have that concept of worshipping demon-gods and goddesses. It seems there are gods in the middle as well. People especially the Sinahalese refrain from worshipping them, like “Dadimunda” is a kowaai demon-god. criticizing him openly would result in many negative things, and they are not to be messed with. Monks here used to “operate” demons to do certain works and such, like house work and delivering messages but mostly for protection.

Well I feel sorry for Light and L, but it was a fun story. Many who weren’t into anime got dazzled by Death Note, well I guess I’ll be looking out for the American adaptation as well then, Zac Efron does look like Light, but haha.

Bipolars also get those flips in personality stages ne? I heard that some people have 7 or 9 personalities all together, kinda amazing. But a great actor would and can do it too ne? Well at least they are in control, a good thing.

I think the Sharia Law was one of the most cruelest one ever, I remember a whole conflict was aroused here, because a girl from our country when to Arabia and somehow she was working as a maid, and some accident happened and she killed the baby of the family she was serving, and she got her head cut off. The relatives and the father of the family was okay, the boy’s mother demanded the cutting off. I’ll choose the gas chamber or the poison instead of that. Yep I know, those cults are weird, and so are their motives.

Yes I hate stalkers like that, I personally hate them, I can’t even stand stalking in games, because of that Amnesia and Slender man is outta my list. Even in normal horror games, if I feel like something following me, I go to it instead of it coming to me and be over with it. Well, that guy seriously looks like some religious freak who got the ends wrong regarding his own religion, he is using every element of his religion to hide himself, for some reason (if he wasn’t a Schizophrenic) I hope he is off from you now, I hate to think about the hours you were anxious and so on, I hate when people threaten like that, unforgivable.

Ah yes, I remember Anne Frank, poor girl. I know what you mean by Phobias, but do you agree that all those fears helps to mentally nourish you, like creating a fear of your own so you can get away from the real fears? Anxiety covering another anxiety ^^

Yep that’s a very odd combination, I agree. But we were given the pup so no complaints, but it’s kinda scary when Shepherds get angry, and lol their faces and statures have that “proud” look. I could readily tell that my dog was reincarnated from a human (lol) he started to open doors and windows from his snout whenever he wanted LOL and we never taught him.

I asked others about this, so it seems like that they did wanted a separate state, but due to the population VS the ridiculous size of the country, it seemed really impossible, and also the Tamils were very much harassed since the ancient times, I bet the politicians never trusted them. I guess they also thought it was unfair because, there are 4 ethnic groups here and excluding the Tamils the others lived peacefully. Also the North as par to their own population which is less than ours, is given to them initially too.
I hate abusive and rude people anyways, I don’t even care if they are drunk or not. You do read a lot ^^ haha, nah you seem like the type who can control your addictions and everything ^^

I guess I hold it in til my teeth hurt lol but there are times where I wanted to slam something, and there was only once where I was really angry enough to kill someone, I was surprised at myself, and ashamed next, but I never found justice I guess that’s the reason. I really don’t like people who aren’t fair LOL I guess I also cry when I can’t hold it in, and curse at extreme speed from my mind. My eyes sometimes change too LOL

Are the energy vortexes the things that are like crosses energy channels or something, oh and I totally know what you mean residual energy, I sometimes think the EVP’s that people get are some energies like that instead of spirits and ghosts. Ah yeah, well in India, where Buddha’s birth and enlightenment occurred, there are some energies over there, but when you take photos and such you see bright white orbs and there was this photo where an Australian man took a snapshot of an the religious tree and when he cleaned it he got himself a picture of a monk, a beautiful person meditating. I believe those are imprints and such .Oh the Grand Canyon also? What kind of a feeling do you get exactly?

I also heard that Macbeth was cursed too, yep it was Oiwa’s tale that is very famous, yep the Buddha movies ,because I bet the angels who are supposed to protect Buddhism gets angry and such. Usually even in the old movies Buddha is never fully portrayed, they cut off the face and show the silhouette, but the movies these days shows the actors and such which is offensive.

That’s very cool! How’s your manga going on? ^^ Hope you have a great week too! ^^

Phraze | 04-15-14, 12:50 PM
My computer is doing fine now, thank you~

Sounds a lot like my predicament with my mother tongue. It gets annoying how I can picture the words and their meanings but can't speak it, haha.

Only watched those musicals at 7-8 years old so my memory didn't pick up the lyrics, but I'll know when I hear them. My Fair Lady is the most memorable since it's not romantic -you know what I think about it already, lol- and I like the constructive(?) sarcasm. I only recall Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, they're the ones we watched most. Musicals are nice but they(parents) were very picky in their choices..

Same here. But, somehow, it's not in me to drop something halfway through. I only drop the manga if the story is too weird, like aliens or ugly bugs. :P
Well, I've noticed some really good series were cancelled so I sorta understand the disappointment. But I don't pay much attention to publishers, unless it's to find certain storytelling styles I like. Square Enix being one. As for publishers, I'm not for or against it. Same for art hobbyists, or doujinshi or whatever. To me, artists are like lawyers: They get hired to do the job and finish it the way their clients -in this case, publishers- want it. I think, it's right for an artist to want to get paid for their work. Doing manga as a free hobby means they can't be devoted to their work, since it's free, then those artists have to do other jobs instead to earn their living. Of course I get what you mean, publishers seem to be only in it for the money or reputation; I don't like them for that reason but they're giving benefit to the artist so...they're fine by me.

Yeah, which is why a good storyteller is important. I bet even kids find a badly told story to be stupid, hahaha. Speaking of which, storytellers stick to the in thing all the time, don't they? xD LOL, I'm starting to sound like a staunch optimist.

lovexLuffy | 04-04-14, 9:17 AM
Oh I watched that Emoji video. had me dying over here! xD
but I realized I really need to step my game up I couldn't understand a thing!!!! lmao!

lovexLuffy | 04-04-14, 9:16 AM
The book Divergent is good. It has decent storytelling. It's just a very interesting plot anyway. I understand that sentiment all too well of being disappointed after reading the book when you go to watch the movie. It's just not the same and it never will be unfortunately.

My Love From Another Star was great! I enjoyed it. Kim Soo Hyun is such a handsome guy. Seriously I have a crush on him! >.< Never heard of Heartstrings may just have to watch that! I just started watching Cunning Single Lady and Inspiring Generation. They are both really good, especially Inspiring Generation. I think I started watching The Heirs a while back and never looked for it again. I may pick that back up too. Lee Min Ho is so dreamy...such good looking guys in Korea! why!

No, I've never really thought about who would be a good cast for a drama from a certain manga. I usually just read the manga and think about how this could possibly turn into an anime. How would I imagine their voices, and the OSTs but that's about it.
Do you?

I listen to a wide variety of music as well. I really try to bridge that gap and get other people interested in foreign music but many peoplel want to know what they are saying and I believe you don't need to know what they are saying to enjoy the music. Music touches the soul regardless if you truly love it. Then I tell them well you can look up the English lyrics later lol. I've been into Korean Pop for the past 4 years. My favorite groups is INFINITE I am a die hard Inspirit, I've watched them from debut til now. They are the only group I follow and bought all of their albums. Desperately waiting their comeback later this month! So excited! I listen to other kpop artist as well but they are my number 1, no doubt.

Did you hear about Amy Lee going independent? I can't believe Evanescence is no more :( I'm quite sad about the news really. They are one my favorite alternative rock groups. I've heard of Nightwish and Amorphis but never listened to them unfortunately.

And I will send that list lol. I truly forgot to send it but I will sometime today. Busy, busy over here with school and work. So I am sorry for my late replies as well.

Atef | 04-02-14, 2:13 PM
Thank you :D

lovexLuffy | 03-26-14, 8:23 AM
I've just finished reading Divergent and went to see the movie when it came out in theaters Friday. The book of course was way better than the movie, its actually a pretty interesting read. I have watched so many kdramas lol but I've been watching My Love From Another Star and I had to slow down the pace of watching it because I was going to finish it too quickly but its very good. The female lead is by far one of my favorite actresses, she is just too hilarious. I'm also watching You're Beautiful as well :) I would recommend Master's Sun if you haven't seen it already. Such a unique and interesting kdrama for sure. I think you will enjoy it.

I listen to a little bit of Abingdon Boys School, since I've heard many of their songs in anime openings, so I dabbled into them a bit and came to really enjoy their music. I like visual kei type bands as well, alternative metal, and some hard metal not very much though. When I'm in the mood to rock out, I will. I've been listening to The Gazette more these days and watching their lives which are freaking crazy, their fans are just too much! I've been also listening to Alice Nine, I like their music although the lead singers voice is kind of nasally and obnoxious at times, but they have great arrangements and nice feelings to their songs.

I don't play the bass, well I wouldn't consider myself a musician just yet. I've been learning but not lately since I've been busy with school and work so I haven't practiced any songs unfortunately but I plan to pick it back up during the summer and really learn how to play it. I use to play the piano and the flute but those skills are far lost now. lol. Your boyfriend sounds really talented I know you are happy!

I LOVE Evanescence. Amy Lee's voice is just angelic. but live though *cough* not too sure...anyway I like different genres of anime, such as action/shonen, sports, comedy, romance, etc....anything really. My list could go on and on so if you could tell me what genres you like I could recommend you something within that genre :) with kdramas I'll just send you a list lol. I think I've written enough in this comment already. If I continue it would be far too long!

Phraze | 03-25-14, 1:02 PM
Late reply....
Thanks for understanding. Been kinda busy rearranging stuff in my computer. (It's pretty messy...)

I see. Then you must be familiar with the french language. I understand only about 70% of what's said in chinese, and can't read. But isn't that similar to some who can't speak fluent english as well? xD I'm not the only one who doesn't know my native language here~ And I'm still apart from those around me even if that weren't the case because I become dumb or stutter around people. lol

Musicals are child-safe, right? Makes sense we would watch them. :) May I know what were the musicals you watched and enjoyed? I remember Sound of Music. But My Fair Lady is my favourite. Hmm, I also love Lassie Come Home. (Just had to mention it)

I was referring only to manga. I meant if the manga art is bad I'll probably drop it. Different when it comes to anime, I'll watch til the end! lol. Noblesse is an official series if I'm not mistaken, so the art is sure to be good. I've read a fullcolor manga before too and it was excellent. In other words, if it's something like a free webtoon, chances for good art aren't there. Which is why I don't like webtoon art. Unless I find one that changes my mind. ^^; If the color art has textures and shades for the span of a few pages, I'll take it over an entire colour series with average color art. Yup, I'm that picky. But if the story is good I don't mind, like Tower of God(read 3 chapters so far).
Seems that way. Dark stories are the 'in" thing, hahaha. Authors just factor on what sells, which is anything extraordinary, and the only way to have an extraordinary story there must be tragedy....?

RachelPanda | 03-24-14, 10:08 AM
Thanks!

Yes well I'm on spring break at the moment so I'm not too stressed out. Just enjoying my time off work and school. I've been reading books and manga as well as watching anime and korean dramas, so I feel pretty relaxed. That is til next week lol.

Oh I see on your profile you listen to Japanese rock. That was my first foreign love. I started listening to it ages ago then switched to Korean pop. Recently I've dabbled back into jrock and I am absolutely loving it. Could have something to do with the fact that I'm learning the bass guitar right now though. I started listening to The Gazette and I rather like them. My favorite songs throughout my listens would be "Suicide Circus" and "Filth in the beauty" that headbang part was epic. Although many of their other songs are good as well something about those two just grasped me in a different way, can't really say what it is. I've tried listening to Versailles...and well it wasn't my cup of tea. I haven't given up just yet, since I haven't seen all of their videos nor heard nearly enough of their songs. So we shall see about them.

I also listen to Linkin Park and have many of their songs on my ipod. My Favorite from them would be "Numb" and "In the End". I have one song from Within Temptation on my ipod and I play that song out! lol its called "Our Solemn Hour" I have no idea as to why I like this song so much. *shrug* that's just how it is. I see we have some things in common besides our anime. lol

inzaratha,

I was a bookworm during my elementary days partly because I was often one of the last to be fetched and would find myself waiting some hours after classes in the library and mostly because I formed a love for reading before I even began going to school. In high school, my reading of novels declined as I got more engrossed in references and magazines that pertained to hobby stuff like electronics, computers, and various crafts. ^,^

I would later get hooked into fan fiction, particularly those based on anime/manga. That eventually progressed into reading what those fan works were based on. A couple of years before I joined MAL, I started getting more into anime and for a while I was barely reading any manga. It was only early last year that I earnestly revived my manga reading. ~,^

Also tried a few manhwa webcomics, but most of those I realized late aren't in this site's database. My temporary workaround is to track them in blog entries (along with other kinds) like so: active, stagnating, done. That helps me avoid having to manually update entries piecemeal wherein my lists can be left in a confusing state whenever MAL borks due to that tsundere Incapsula or site slow downs and/or my net connection gives me the cold shoulder indefinitely. ~,~

It's almost funny when some people think protein only comes from animal meat. It's not funny when they're trying to shove their ideals in your face though. It all boils down to prefences anyway. :B

You have a similar diet to my mother which explains her occasional snacking on pizzas and ice cream. *guffaws* Unlike you, she hasn't had the chance to actively avoid beef, pork, or chicken despite her love for fish because of well, my dad. Relationships involve all these intricate compromises that I sometimes wonder how people are able to stay together. ^^'

Hmm, I used to correspond with someone who grew up with horses, but somehow our exchanges often got derailed into something about food, usually asian kinds, or sci-fi so I've never really been able to know more than that--that she grew up with horses. I lost my chance to ask more about horses since she has been inactive for over a year. I don't know much about them besides what I've gleaned upon in entertainment media such as Proof by Dick Francis, a book that delved on horses and wine, and the ongoing anime Gin no Saji.

In a nutshell, it's nice to meet you! >,<

Thank you! I'll make sure to update you once I read them! I read Daisy and Omg they are the cutest couple ever. Her showing him her belly button is actually one of the cutest/funniest things ever. Do you have an all time favorite anime or manga?
