About invaderalex
I am that one tripfag who only talks about Cream Lemon and Manyuu Hikenchou on /a/. I, too am also constantly shocked by my low powerlevel.

My list is fairly bloated because I am addicted to shitty one shot OVAs and other short series.

My face when Minmay loses the Muck Ross. (I don't have a face yet because I'm not yet finished but I hope she loses)

Thread 404'd, but my message was as follows:
"I can't remember if it was every episode from start to finish (probably missed a few days here and there) but I used to follow them both religiously back when I was around 10 years old. Of course, I don't have any feelings towards them anymore now that it's nearly a decade later."

Eh, yes, I tend to welcome older art style. Where I think older TV series frequently fall short is when they want to animate action scenes, which tend to date very quickly. It doesn't apply to everything, but I'm always somewhat wary when it comes to action. The original Gundam, while having an undeniable conceptual quality and having probably revolutionised science-fiction in anime to some extent, chose to depict small-scale fights - individual conflicts, where the technical limitations are the most flagrant.

Regardless, VOTOMS does look good. Although it can be used as a potential for character development and coming-of-age storylines, the 'whiny self-insert' is sadly one of the many anime conventions that I have difficulties accepting. It does make me want to check out VOTOMS. While I like my over-the-top robots, how you describe the VOTOMS mechas makes them sound original enough to pique my interest.

I suppose I'll watch the first episode tomorrow or after catching up with the season, depending on when I hit the hay.

I've been meaning to watch VOTOMS for quite some time; I think it's been gathering dust in my hard disk. Are you enjoying it? How does it compare to what you've seen of its era and category?

It's a pretty interesting chart, but some of the pictures are a little low quality. Finding good pictures to use can be tough sometimes. I wish I could offer something more than criticism, but I'm about to go without internet for a while. See you whenever I see you.

It was likely me. After the thread, I pulled it up on MAL and saw that you had also watched it. Didn't actually think I was talking to the same person.

I think you're a good tripcode user.

I saw you watched Space Family Carlvinson. Did you like it?

There's always awful anime but then there's stuff like this which is honestly baffling as to how it ever managed to get released in the first place. Skelter Heaven is exactly the same and very close to as bad, and I'd go as far as to say that it's the second worst anime ever created, second only to Mars. In some action sequences they actually used terrible low budget CG mechs on a zoomed in photo-background, not to mention a love confession from the middle of nowhere, some of the most campy dialogue ever seen in an anime, and the worst mech designs period. It's a very hilarious way to spend 17 minutes more of your time.

I didn't like Detroit Metal City that much either, there were some good jokes but it was mainly riding off the contrast between Krauser's normalfag life and crazy black metal alter ego. It's okay, but some of the ratings it gets? Not deserved at all.

That looks nice so far and really informative. Can't wait to see the final product.

Mars of Destruction was pretty damn awful, huh? It actually made me appreciate my other low-rated anime a lot more because Mars of Destruction is just on a whole different level of bad. At least it made me laugh my ass off at some points, like the sudden Beethoven playing for no reason and the story behind Takeru and his usage of that suit. I actually almost wish it was longer because it was comedic gold.

When is the last time you lifted?

I enjoyed the well written plot of Queen's blade and the high quality voice acting, the great soundtrack and of course the ridiculous ecchi. Sometimes you got to have fun with anime.

Porchfault | 04-08-12, 9:38 PM
Funny you mention Project A-ko, wasn't it supposed to be part of Cream Lemon originally?

Nicholas_ | 03-11-12, 2:49 PM
What's up, menschmaschine? I see you're watching some good shows right now. I wish I could watch Aria, Kimagure Orange Road and Moyashimon for the first time all over again. Excellent stuff.
