(although now that school has started, i will mainly be on during the weekends)
i had never seen any anime before 2009,
-(other than the shows i watched years ago
when i didn't know it was anime, such as dragon ball, etc.)-
but i started watching anime
January/February 2009 because a lot
of my friends were in the anime
club at school so i went with them
once and saw the first few episodes
of Gurren Lagann, after we finished
that we watched toradora and by
then i was a regular at the club,
and now i am addicted to anime
and have watched a lot more since

I also...
seem to over-rate all anime connected to series(including series themselves), but i under-rate most anime movies.
complete 30 anime folders
* on my hard drive by Thanksgiving-(all of)Spice and Wolf-9/24/2009
complete 50 folders** on my hard drive by next summer vacation
complete all the anime movies i plan to watch
finish everything that's on-hold
download everthing on my anime list(other than the shows i watched years ago), even though it's impossible since i add more shows to my list all the time
complete 25 manga
catch up(or finish if it's done by then) all of case closed episodes, movies, and ovas before 2016
finish reading all of 20th century boys eventually
*--each folder is a WHOLE series, so all seasons, ovas, onas, specials, etc., connected to one show count as one folder, but single movies or ova's do not count as a folder
**--same as * thanks to keitorin's profile for giving me this idea
I suggested reading from the beginning it's not that long only 12 page per chapter..and beside there is a development between the captain and vice-captain XD
Actually the slideshow in the end of the series is foreshadowing about what happen next..i just hope they made the 2nd season
From the last scene..Okiura kissed with the shadowed girl i just noticed it from the chapter that has not been aired..i'm thinking about the 2nd season of it..
There are plenty arcs that aren't showed in Umisho anime..definitely read the manga..and it is go further..started from chapter 35 i think..
Hope it help..oh i take back that statement..apparently the anime tells the story in different point of view..i just noticed they changed plenty of arcs and mixed it together in one time, like the festival, breast alliance, watermelon's eating contest
I have watched 7 episode of Umisho..and i'm surprised they follow the manga perfectly..so yeah i guess continue on the manga is a good way..i'll confirm this after finishing the series
Hm, yes, I've heard a lot about Clannad. I'll definitely consider it. As for Toradora! I got to see most of it at school; I just kinda forgot the add it, tee hee ^v^
Hrm... suggestions, eh? Well if you're looking for some action like Claymore, then I'd suggest Berserk. But if you want something with a little comedy to it, then I'd say Beelzebub. Hope that helps.
