Fullmetal Alchemist is definitely the best anime I've seen so far. The plot is pure genius, the theme is absolutely one-of-a-kind. The plot twists really hook you to the anime and make you want more. You'll never get tired of it, no matter how many times you re-watch.
The animation is top-notch, as expected of BONES, and the quality is consistent throughout the whole series. The background music and the OP/ED themes really suits the series. The character development is also steady, and there is just enough comic relief to lighten the mood. This anime is definitely a huge production success.
