no love for sadaharu ? haha..but you are right about him being a douche, but I think that adds to his cuteness :P
Hijikata is funny as hell too. And the weird thing about him is that unlike other characters there has never been a single moment when I thought he was annoying.

haha lol, ok, I thought you were talking about Gintama.
The problem I had with moribito was the fillers that dragged the series a bit too much and puts the story on hold for half of the show. Other wise I loved everything about it. The characters are alright though, except for Jigero, Balsa's teacher. His story is fleshed out later. There's a good twist in the story later on though.
And dude, Balsa is really hot. A bit manly, yes, but very hot :P

you should try the Jumpfest 2005 OVA of gintama. Classic stuff right there.
I agree with you though, it is a bit overrated. Its kind of a mixed bag for me, sometimes it alright, sometimes its really great, and other times its just retarded.
Youre in 40s so there might a few boring eps up ahead. Just a heads up.

yea its pretty good isn't it, though there is some quality drop here and there, especially around ep 50 I think, but the good parts are really really good.
