Late reply is late. Real life got busy. Anyway.
Yup, Folk Tales is very good. A lot of work for a children's show, more than Shirokuma even, plus the stories are hilarious and not about iphones. We don't talk about good anime & etc. (it was discussed a few times when it started airing, actually). I say give it a try.
There is no reason why liking Home in this corner should be bad. It's a perfectly good song. I was amused with it because it never shows up in the show at all. By the way, I heard nyaa livestreamed GC two weeks ago. Or was it three weeks ago? Weak attempt to resurrect the threads. Too soon if you ask me.

Let's see, Hidenobu was in mole-chan skit (ep 3) & black haired guy from the love letter part (ep 11), the one who says it's a tasteless joke. Deciding which girl is best in Nichibros is absurd. Because there is one for every taste, you end up with opinions. Same goes for the guys, somewhat. And now I know that the majority, if not the only ones, who liked Nago were women. Feels bad. Have you listened to the special cd? The second track blew my mind.
So what's the word on the new shows? And why do you have a soft spot for Accel World?
Man, I miss spacebros.

I combine them 2 by 2 once in a while, even though they are a distraction for one another, but I'd rather fully focus on one at a time. As for manga, there are fewer titles I'm interested in than anime; not to mention there are some really horror stories about mangakas: falling off mountains, getting their jaw removed and stuff.
There are no more track releases planned for GC, so I wouldn't wait for it (I'm still laughing at Home In this Corner). A shame really, it was such a cheesy song. Just go get yourself a custom t-shirt to drown your sorrow: "My other Void is a fridge".
Pfft, even Nichibros got me a bit upset (not at the end, just the lack of Tadakuni. It was essential for the plot, I know, but still). At least I got two characters voiced by Kiuchi Hidenobu, and Habara was a good girl afterall.
So, what's the best anime this season? I'm torn between Shirokuma and Folk Tales.

I have a crippling fear I'll be 30 without anything to watch except currently airing. My descent into anime was from obscure to popular anyway. I also alternate between hobbies every one or two months. Having 4 of them is suffering.
Well, if you stopped watching otaku pandering killing the industry, maybe you'd have more spare time. The more you postpone it, the more of a stale flavour it'll have. You'll be a bit disappointed by Another Side 02 though, still no sign of YES. I picked up 16, 20 if I catch up with the prequels, though the latest Kimi to Boku episode got me platinum mad so I'm thinking of dropping it.

Granted it won't be the same fun, but you can search the archives. Haven't you been spoiled to hell and back by now? Watching the rest of the episodes should be easy, the second half was the best anyway.
