Ugh, this is the problem I have with shounen. They completely disregard everything by the end or throw the characters' personalities away for shotgun endings and wrapping ups.

Yes, the Japanese seem to have this obsession with making girls all lovey-dovey over other girls to show a sign of their immaturity and not being ready for men.
Maybe she's just been suppressing the genki fangirl side of her? When it comes to Yoruichi :P If not, and Kubo has been trolling us, I think I'd be very, very, very angry and disappointed even more than I already am with Bleach.

Hanjuku Joshi, despite all its graphicness, is rather delicate. To handle it is as such seems normal :P
Oh my God, I can't say how thrilling that scene was when she had Yae get naked for her and she told her to open her legs so can see her better.
I am hoping that some day we'll see more. Morinaga can't, for legal purposes, continue the story of Nana and Hitomi. So Mari and Akko, their frustrating, gayngst-ing twins from a barely alternate universe, will have to suffice.

Yeah, lots of people are telling me Simoun is amazing. You know, i may just watch it while waiting for new eps of Sasameki to come out, cause I really wanna see what the hype is about :P
I don't normally watch magic shows though, i mean, i did drop Mai-HiME despite the yuri.
And I gave marimite a 4 because it's an SOL without the two things that make an SOL enjoyable(comedy and cuteness)

I thought it was going to be the same manic energy, angst-fest that the manga was, and surprise, surprise--what I got was such a soft, fragile little thing that focussed on understating the action than hyperbolising it the manga did.
That to me changes the genres of the anime completely, since the manga is a comedy/romance. The anime is playing out like a romance/comedy. And yes, there is a difference over which genre they give priority. The thing is, after such a sweet slice of life anime like Aoi Hana, I think it's a pretty bad move to have such a melancholy romance in Sasameki Koto.
And I re-read some of the earlier chapters. I really hope they keep Sumi's priceless reaction faces, because it really goes to show you how fragile she herself is. In the anime, so far, she just seems a bit harsh and mean. We have to go with her expressions to understand her since the internal monologue seems to have disappeared.
But I said it before, I think they are making it so sombre so that the angst in later parts of the anime doesn't seem emo and over the top. Because that's how it shows up in the manga. The mangaka went from LOL FUNNY to WHOA DRAMA in like a snap, so a lot of the readers I know are wondering what the heck happened and why their comedy manga suddenly became a do-ra-ma.
So I think the anime is trying to bridge that gap.
One thing though, the BGM is GORGEOUS. Omg, I love it.
