However, this potential is unrealized or drowned out by an excess of unnecessary scenes, beating around the bush, irrelevant storytelling that tries to pass off as character development."

While I don't find any brilliancy in Ano Natsu (sorry), the potential is definitely unrealized and everything is drowned out by unnecessary scenes.

Beautiful art and shit, but I can't stand how angsty and pointless this story is.
I loved Ano Hana and hated Onegai Teacher...
So... there lies my conflict for this anime.
