I've only been into anime since my sophomore year of college, which was back in 2005. Despite not being into anime for very long, I've rapidly discovered a lot of awesome stuff that I've really enjoyed. Here's to finding a lot more!! (And finishing what I've started.)
I'm a salaryman, and in true salaryman fashion, I spend a lot of time commuting to and from work. I've started devoting that time almost exclusively to watching anime on my PSP. More recently, I've been reading manga on my commute as well.
I don't bother numerically scoring anime and manga anymore. Details in my blog below. Got a question about something I've seen? Feel free to ask :D

I found the original Manga release on dvd and was able to finish Orguss 02. Pretty good ending (kinda sappy). Overall an 8 for sure and Area 88 OVAs are both a definite must watch.

I managed to find it on dvd and the last half episode is missing. I actually don't know how it ends and it kinda pisses me off that the dvd is fucked up like that, but it is still an 8 for me. The original series sucks, but Orguss 02 is worth a look. Check out Area 88 OVA too if you haven't already.

You gotta check out Orguss 02. Pretty good 90's mecha. Reminded me of Area 88 OVA. I didn't really like Area 88 tv series, but the OVAs are very good.

I only like the hentai with demon violence or gorey action of some kind. I gave up and resold alot of them. I only kept the good ones and all but Rapeman has gore and violence. I usually FF thru sex stuff, except if it has something to do with plot like in Urotsukidoji. That one has some pretty sick and twisted stuff. The uncut subtitled only version. Eng dub version isn't nearly as good. Kage is a really good one. Not much more sex than Ninja Scroll actually.

As far as I know (without looking), this is a good majority of the ones I like that fit the 90's OVA category. There are some good series from then too and some good mecha too. I only listed OVA's and tried to stick with 90's although one or two may be from 89 or 2000. Fist of the North Star is outfuckingstanding, but long. You probably seen most of these, but hopefully there are a few new ones in there too.

Yes, the short bit I watched of it on youtube or veoh did remind me of Hokuto no Ken and I was sold on it as it seemed outrageous and possibly funny. I have yet to watch anymore of it.
You have some good ones on your list. I could rec a ton more depending on which category you wanted them from. Give me a category like Cyberpunk, hentai (yes there are some good ones), or ecchi or any other grouping you can think of. I will give my top 5 or so of that category of which you don't already have on your list. I like alot of the older mechas. I just started Fang of the Sun Dougram and give it a 7 after 4 eps. Story is lost on me since it's raw, but mecha is cool and good amount of action. I like the characters too. It means alot to me to like the characters, since I dropped alot of series based on the mains. Mainly female leads get dropped quickly like Bubblegum Crisis or Burst Angel to name a couple. These older ones need something besides good mecha to sit thru some of the sheer length of some of them. Alot of them are like 40 eps to 100 eps pending. Tiger Mask should be interesting. That will be the most eps raw of any series.

I finally checked out Ninja Tobikage. You were right about me liking Panzer World better than Ninja Tobikage or Psycho Armor Govarian. I haven't really checked out Govarian as I am unable to find it subbed and only found it raw for about $90.00 (complete series). I am afraid it won't be worth it. I already have Dougram, Panzer World raw. I will soon have Akuu Daisuken Srungle, Dorvack, Otokojuku series and movie, Tiger Mask, Tiger Mask Nisie and part of UFO Grenzider all in raw from. Only way I could find them. I managed to find Dancougar, Heavy metal L-Gaim, Dragonar and Getter Robo original with subs. I have so many older mechas to watch. Southern Cross, Tekkaman Blade I and II, Aura Batter Dunbine, Orguss, Go Lion and the Voltron Movie. I have been trying to find Armored Fleet Dairugger XV and heard it was going to be released uncut with subtitles next year. Heard anything about it? I don't really want Voltron as it is too G, but heard Go Lion and Dairugger are good. I always liked Voltron, but it need violence. I like the way he fought monsters and kicked King Zarcon's sons ass all the time. I got Fleet of Doom for old times sake, but would rather watch the series subtitled with more violence, even though it's bloodless.
