I'm an average 14-year old. I love running, swimming, hanging with friends, and partying! I like anime/manga, but it's not it's not something that I'm really obsessed with right now. I used to be really into it but as for right now, it's something that I just watch/read when I have spare time. I still enjoy it though. Don't get me wrong. I still watch/read it.
Non anime related stuff
Favorite TV shows: That '70s Show, The Office, CSI.
Favorite movies: Stand By Me, Arachnophobia, Naked Gun.
Yeah, it's just stuck in my mind for some reason. People must've read your review and thought, "This is good! +1"... and then scrolled down, saw I rambled for a few paragraphs before describing the story and then done the review rating equivalent of saying "Fuck you!"
Paying for anime, on the internet? That's just wrong. If you're looking for anime, check out BakaBT; it's anime download heaven. Isohunt is an excellent all-round torrent site, too.
In the past, I also deleted and reposted when I got bad ratings. However, doing so only pisses off frequent readers, and even people who originally rated +1 might've started getting annoyed. Nowadays I just post once and leave it at that.
I need to go through all of my reviews, re-reading and deleting the reviews I'm unhappy with that have shitty ratings. I have too many reviews and, compared to others, too few positives in comparison. The solution is to lower my number of reviews. Ingenious, I know.
I'm afraid to read the manga or watch the 61 episode TV stories because of Tezuka's more cartoony style. One MAL reviewer described the OVA as the Batman Begins of Black Jack, and if that's the case I'm staying well away from the original version. No childish version for me!
And it's nice to have one fan in the world. I'd make you a fanclub card if I knew how/could be arsed.
Hello there, young man. How are you? I remember you because you're the guy who always remains ahead of me in the Chrono Crusade manga review ratings league. At one point I hated you because it seemed like you got all the love and I got all the hate, though the negatives have evened themselves out now. People hate me for my rambling ways; it's a sad truth.
I find it somewhat strange that someone who hasn't watched much has seen an obscure anime only 700 or so people have seen. How did you come across it? I was browsing through the MAL OVA list, saw it had a decent rating and decided to download it. I'm in full-on OVA/movie mode at the minute.
And cheers for the +1, as well as the comment. In my case, review comments are rare, where as unhelpful votes are not. When I saw it at 1/3, a few hours after posting, I was starting to lose all confidence. I'm happy with my three previous reviews, yet my previous two have ended up with 50/50 ratings, despite them both starting strong in terms of ratings. My Ocean Waves review's rating in particular pisses me off, it now being fourth, below far shorter reviews, one of which being in Engrish. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Anyway. Have you seen any other Black Jack anime, or was the OVA a one-off in your case?
