Hi I'm Basel and I love anime, as most people do here =). I hope to meet a lot of new people here because I usually lack friends in the anime department. Recently, after watching Nodame Cantabile, I became insanely obsessed with classical music and the piano itself. Here is a list of my favorite anime (not in any specific order):

That's not a bad way to put it. The author who wrote Kino's Journey gets a little bit preachy at times, and that gets transmitted into the anime. It's not nearly as bad as some of his other works (Allison, and Lillia and Treize, which were recently adapted into the anime, Allison and Lillia), but it's definitely there. Luckily, I usually agree with the author's sentiments, so it doesn't bother me too much. :x

Yes, Mushishi is my all time favourite so far. Is it really that obvious? ;) I was going to give it a 9 just to continue being strict but even a prawn-grader like me gets biased sometimes.
I heard it put some people to sleep, but I guess you can't please everyone.
I watched all of Avatar, too. It's what got me into anime in a way, since I was on a LiveJournal community for it and someone there asked for anime recommendations. I decided to try out many of those recommendations, too :)
I really enjoyed it.. but unfortunately they left such a long gap before the final few episodes I ended up becoming too fascinated by all the new stories to appreciate it in quite the same way. It's sad. Bending is still the most awesome example of animated action I've seen, though!
