HOLY CRAP YOU WROTE A BOOK. Lol lemme read this.
I actually hadn't noticed the dialogue being like that. But now that you mention, I can definitely understand. I think it really just has to do with them having sooo many characters to fit in, with only 24 minutes per episode. For most of the characters, the anime has really only shown little snippets of their personality because they haven't had a chance to focus on each of them individually yet. Like episode 1, each girl got maybe...2 minutes to themselves if they were lucky.
Episode 2, I guess they were really forcing some stuff there. Maybe it was for the people new to the anime? I think they got the idea across that Yayoi was poor in the 1st episode though, they could have thought of better ways to add to that in the 2nd episode than have her directly state it. I've got to say though, Yayoi's UUU UUUUs in the anime, they make me hnnnnnnngh so bad.
Agree the OP is amazing, I've had "Are you lady? I'm a lady" stuck in my head since forever. (And I refuse to call the song "ready", it's just going to be "lady" to me). I didn't know that their fail-photoshoot was full of nico memes. Any specific ones? Ami and Mami in the monkey suit made me laugh. Having a new ED every episode didn't surprise me (I was expecting it), but it is exciting that they're going to extra mile to do that. Plus it's not like there's any shortage of songs, they can put 2-3 insert songs and a new ED per episode if they wanted to. Also, animation errors? Unless you're talking about the derpy faces when they're shown from far away, or the occasional eye melting off their face, I haven't noticed any.
I've got to agree with episode 3 though, they did not handle Yukiho well at all. She did start to get on my nerves a bit. (Thankfully unlike Inami she doesn't go around punching men and they don't waste half the series on her stupid shenanigans). She was bordering on the line of mentally retarded because of how crippled she was by the smallest things. Hopefully since she "got over" that fear in episode 3, she'll be different for the rest of the anime?
I kind of wtf'd at Miki too. But at least, she does steal the spotlight in whatever scene she is in. But her sleeping is getting kind of overboard. Also hoping they stop ignoring Azusa. She shows up for 2 seconds per episode and goes "ara ara' and then disappears. ;_;
And this...
Those setups, they actually would have been a better way to get each character across. Dat Chihaya scenario. ;_; i think Haruka introduction was kind of close to that though, with her in the train station and tripping. As for how people are receiving the anime, I've noticed that a lot of non-game fans were finding it "boring". On the im@s forum I've read, the game fans generally seem positive of it, but there are a few who didn't really like the 1st episode. Haven't read before anything as detailed as this, which kind of opened my eyes to some things. But overall, I'm still really enjoying it. Even if they haven't been making the best decisions on the anime, I still think it's a pretty good adaptation overall.
Ugh I know right, I'm not really liking anime Producer. It's like they have him not exist for most of the episode, then appear at the end to make everything better. He definitely has that "harem MC" vibe going on, which isn't good.
Isn't Maji Love 1000% that one with the male idols? It looks wayy too faggy for me so I skipped it. I have a friend watching it though. Is the animation for it really that good? Better than im@S?
On one hand, I'm excited for the move to PS3, because it will bring in a lot of new fans, but on the other, it does feel like a dick move to the loyal 360 fans. Where I read, I saw that the DLC was $200+. It's just...yeah. Really not cool to do to all the people who bought that DLC just a few months before. For PS3, they should have just thrown in the songs and maybe an outfit or two, but not everything. I wonder if Gravure4U is really a PS3 exclusive? There could be the possibility that it will be available for 360 too, unless there's something I haven't read that says it was exclusive. PS3 is also getting "ready" right out of the box, right? I think if they don't put that on 360, pretty dick move. Also, if on the 360, it should be free.
For the Colorful Days 10 colors version, I noticed that too. It makes me mad. I don't even understand how they couldn't include the 12 colors version... Also that song would have been good to have as a quintet, but they never make quintet songs. ;_; If they have any special "moves" to the song (Like you know how sometimes the idols will do things like winking, like Haruka in Little Match Girl with the lyric "I'm the heroine") when it gets to their color, it will be so awkward for Takane and Hibiki to sing that.
The DLC for im@s is really expensive, yeah. That's what I couldn't really see myself buying it, maybe just the songs. (Although I'd really only need Kyun! Vampire Girl because that song is fucking awesome).
The world is all one!!
But yeah, we're only on episode 3 (although 4 is airing soon) out of 25 episodes, so there's still a lot more to get through. Hopefully it will get better when all the character episodes are out of the way. Episode 4 looks like a cooking show or something, which could be hilarious. (Just like episode 2's..."makeover").
Also have to say, I really hope they eventually release character songs for all idols as DLC for im@s 2. Like how SP had Kiramekirari, Tonari ni, Kosmos Cosmos, etc. There's a bunch of songs from the Master Special album series that would be perfect for this. I would orgasm so hard if they had a version of Ritsuko's "livE" for all idols. I bet they are going to release Kimi wa Melody/Matane/Overmaster as DLC though, and then hopefully some more new songs.
