Hey, thanks for checking out my profile page.
I am basically an AV Club nerd-type American anime fan/ weeaboo. Unlike a lot of anime fans I don't play a lot of video games, I don't cosplay, I'm not an artist, and I have much greater interest in novels than manga. My interest as an anime fan is to watch, research, discuss, and collect anime.
I also really enjoy anime music videos, and I keep a growing collection of PVC figures and dojinshi.
I keep a DVD Aficionado page for anyone who might be interested. With the decline of the R1 industry though, my DVD collection hasn't grown much in the last quarter of the 2000's and I often wonder what direction my otakuism is going to lead me in the 2010's...
Sailor Moon, and to a lesser extent Dragonball Z, were the gateway drugs that got me into the hobby late in grade school. I still have a special fondness and interest in the anime of the 1990's as my list well reflects. As far as genre my taste has shifted back and forth over the years from such extremes as giant robots, magical girls, to fantasy action/adventure, to moé. I enjoy shows with detailed art and nuanced storytelling; I don't find much interest in ultraviolent actioners with gun battles and samurai combat unless they just happen to be really well animated. ( Ninja Scroll and Karas come to mind off the top of my head.)

Finally, I'm always very interested in meeting other anime fans with similar taste to trade series recommendations and discuss interesting aspects of different shows. If something on my list catches your eye, please, leave a shout on my wall!

Ya, I like Saeko Chiba. She doesn't really do any standout work, but what she does is rather good. In addition to what you mentioned, I also enjoyed her as Azmaria in Chrono Crusade.
