I'm a Newcastle University student studying English Literature and Japanese.
I'm been a fan of anime since I was 10 years old. I don't remember many of the dates I started watching anime, so my lists aren't complete, however I have seen a lot and hope to see much more in the future.
I'm co-president of the Newcastle University Anime Society and so I get to see a lot of new stuff.
My fave genre is the romantic comedy anime, but I also like a range of other genres.
My fave kind of characters are the anti-hero guys; the kind who act tough on the outside but occassionally show their vulnerability or hidden goofyness.
I'm a fanfiction author (I go by BuuGirl on fanfiction.net) and I love collecting anime and manga. I've dabbled in cosplay and hope to do more in the future.

That's really awesome. And wow you only have 2 teachers? My home uni in Cali has 6 or 7, most of them native. My sensei was Caucasian but her level was ~almost~ native, so she still was a great teacher. I'm studying math but I'm allowed to take Japanese if I wanted to. I know nothing about the Japanese department in Portsmouth.. I guess I'll find out when I get there. x)
I'm really excited about studying abroad! My friends are pushing me to travel around Europe but what I really want to do most is go all around England! I hope I have the chance to go up to Newcastle. Whatever happens, I'm sure it'll be fun. :D

You're in the UK! I'm going to be in Portsmouth for 10 months starting next month(I'm studying abroad o.o) so we're pretty much on the opposite ends of England, heh. ^^
I'm thinking of studying my 2nd year of Japanese there. How is the Japanese language department, at least in Newcastle?
