Yes, I totally agree.
What I love so much about her style is that she mixes drama into her story without giving them that dreadful soap-opera feeling and without making them cheesy and cheap. Her stories and characters have a "real" feeling about them. People like that, stories like that could actually exist. It leads to a much deeper impact.
There's a few mangaka out there who can deliver this as well (like Kawai Touko in "Cut" or "Bondz") but no one whom I know of who delivers it with such consistency.
I really like your list of favourites, you are a fellow Miyamoto Kano - Fan, Rules rocks - I hope she will write lots more Rules-Stories, but I like her other stuff, too.
