I rate anime using the default scores:

10: Masterpiece - The very best shows, all of these shows blew my mind, astounding me as to how good anime can be, they are the best of their respective genres and they all made me feel intense emotions
9: Great - Shows that are just shy of a 10, they did something amazing but don't have the same connection to me a 10 does, they usually are extremely entertaining and they tend to be very high up in their respective genre
8: Very Good - Anime that are clearly a cut above the shows that are just good, I enjoyed these shows significantly more than a 7 but I wouldn't call these my favorite anime
7: Good - Shows that I wouldn't mind rewatching, I had a fun time the whole way and leave me happy at the end, very glad I watched them
6: Fine - Shows that I overall thought were a positive experience but I'd hesitate to rewatch, I tend to drop shows I assume will be this in the end, because I'd like to be watching stuff that I enjoy more than this
5: Average - Dead average as the name implies, these are shows where I wasn't having a bad time nor a good time watching them, I try to avoid completing these
4: Bad - An anime that I disliked more than I liked, this is a more moderate level of bad
3: Very Bad - This level is a mixed bag, some of it is just very boring, others are just too poorly written to be fun.
2: Horrible - I despise all of those shows and would never recommend one on my worst enemy.
1: Appalling - Shows that I am appalled exist and wish that they were never made, words can barely describe my disdain towards these shows.
