Story: In this third installment of Haikyuu, the anime continues to follow the events of the manga with no significant changes. This season centers on the finals arc against Shiratorizawa, a powerhouse school known for its tall, strong, and talented players and has consistently represented the Miyagi prefecture in the National Spring Tournament.

Art and Sound: Even for those who keep up with the manga and therefore know everything that will happen in the anime, it's like you're discovering what happens in the match again for the first time. If there were any blocks, receives, or plays you read in the manga that made you cheer ...

Story: After their bitter defeat against Aoba Johsai, the team carries on through training with the same determination. A summer camp filled with new and strong opponents becomes the catalyst for Karasuno's evolution. When the evolution is complete, Karasuno forges ahead to the Spring High with the same goal as always-to go to nationals.

Art/Sound: The new characters this season are drawn perfectly, and the voice actors assigned to them do very well in portraying the characters' personalities. In addition, the 4 OST's do well to set the mood of the anime. The opening songs/videos give viewers a feeling of perseverance and determination that usually ...

Story and Character: The second season of Noragami is just as enjoyable as the first, thanks to all the plot twists and well-timed comedic relief. Noragami Aragato centers mostly on delving into the past of Bishamonten, Yato, and Ebisu. This sequel starts with the unraveling of Bishamonten's past, and the events that explains her deep-seated grudge for Yato. Characters from the first season gain depth in this season, making them more personable and permanent to the viewer. Meanwhile, an important figure of Yato's past emerges to control him through their mutual link, Nora, into doing his bidding. Yato's last mission requires him to aid Ebisu, ...

One Punch Man (Anime) add
Saitama aka One Punch Man, is a hero parody. Heroes are typically kind, solemn, and/or altruistic. Saitama, on the other hand, is brash, immature, and won't hesitate to tell you where to go if you have any complaints or criticisms. Not to mention he claims to be a hero for "fun." Any other hero would say, "This is not a game," but I guess when you can fell creatures quadruple the length and width of the tallest building in Japan with one punch, you can afford to be lax. There are moments when Saitama can act like a hero, too-kind, solemn, or altruistic-but those moments ...

Story: Mirai-hen picks up from the ending of Kako-hen. A new supernatural force arises and threatens to break the tenuous relationship between Kanbara Akihito and an amnesic Kuriyama Mirai. It's a good story, but like the series of the anime there were a few questions that went unanswered.

Art: Amazing as always, from the bright and colorful backdrops to the details of the character's eyes.

Sound: I noticed that the artist for the ending song was also used for the opening song of the original Kyoukai no Kanata. In this perspective, the show has come full circle !

Character: Overall, the characters haven't changed much. The circumstances ...

I'm a fan of the anime because of it's cute art (the characters look their age, an aspect that some anime I've watched have trouble grasping), brilliant comedic relief (the repartee between the characters make me snicker), and likable characters.
We have Kiriyama Mirai's graceful fighting skills, yet clumsy social skills, and favorite "how unpleasant" line, Akihito's glasses fetish, Mitsuki's tsundere personality, and Hiroomi's sister complex. With this colorful cast and unique story there's hardly a lull in the anime.
In addition, the opening and ending song is the perfect measure of poignant and hopeful.
The story had some questions that needed answering, but ...

Mixed Feelings
I'm sure Akagami no Shirayukihime would be great to watch as a stand alone, but seeing as how I'm first and foremost a fan of the manga, the anime was disappointing. What disappoints me the most is how the characters in the anime are portrayed differently than in the manga. Characters like Zen and Mitsuhide are passable, but I'm ambivalent about Obi, and even more so about the female characters Shirayuki and Kiki. Starting with Obi, while he is mischievous and playful to a degree in the manga, there are instances where they over-amplify these characteristics in the anime that seem gratuitous. Kiki, who is ...

Haikyuu!! (Anime) add
Haikyuu!! is a must see! It debuted last spring, but I didn't watch it till fall when all the episodes were released. I decided to give it a shot because I was seeing plenty of posts of it on Tumblr and I liked the art.

Sports anime are always about training hard, winning matches, and entering the Nationals, and Haikyuu!! isn't any different in that respect, but the execution of the story was well done. Compared to the manga the anime follows all the important plots and subplots, but tweaks the funny filler scenes to make it even funnier, so it doesn't feel like you're ...
