About astromach
ohai

I'm a pretentious twenty-year-old who attends a university, plays a lot of video games, and sometimes writes about video games, all while engaging in almost nothing remotely productive. Where animu is concerned, I like to think that the more intelligent, complex, and/or contemplative fare is my preference, but I have been known to shamelessly indulge my soft spot for juvenile humor, gratuitous violence, breasts, and cute girls doing cute things in cute ways.

Feel free to visit my Steam profile, linked above and below, if you care to know more about how utterly fascinating I am or want to hit me up for a chat (although you can do that in the comments section of this page too, I guess).

Month-late response because I'm a boor.

Academically, I'm doing fine. Got my finals out of the way, aced the one paper I had to write this quarter.

As for the meatier bits of my life (namely, marathoning cartoons in my room), things could be better. Have you been keeping up with this season? I think each show I'm watching besides Chihayafuru 2, Shinsekai Yori, and Tamako Market has eventually
given me a rash.

Hey, it's good that you got it out of your system before your impeding deadlines. I have a tendency to suddenly indulge long-dormant interests right when I have a crapload of work to do.

Speaking of Oyasumi Punpun, I wish my fear of ongoing manga would let me get past the first volume, at least.

My conversational skills sure are ripe tonight.

Vividred, Maoyuu, and Tamako are the things I'd qualify as great this season. I've been wanting to watch GJ-bu and Mondaiji too, so I may have to drop some things.

I'm watching too god damn much, and there's 2 extra shows I wanted to pick up. Having low standards in entertainment is suffering.

In light of my not being busy in any sense of the word, I forgot to add you on here from that one time we vaguely mentioned animu. I'm also mad how you seem to play more vidya while also watching Chinese girl cartoons. Fucking yoroshiku.

How was Nijigahara Holograph? With Asano Inio's works, it's usually hit-or-miss in terms of who likes his stuff and who doesn't.

What category do you belong to, hm?

imbecilic | 05-16-12, 9:06 PM
You connoisseur, you. I'll have to take a look at some of those novels.

'Fraid not, I'm not much of a gamer, and the games I do play tend to be older or console based. I did make an account once but I never used it and I'm not sure I remember it. Could probably dig it up though if I tried.

Greetings, my favorite bro. I'll get back to you on the Steam issue eventually, but for now, I'll just make some idle chitchat.

I spontaneously remembered your "gamer girl" comment, so I googled that phrase to see what sort of images would come up. What do I get? Half-naked hussies seductively dangling their tongues across controllers/other game-related paraphernalia. Meme?

Unrelated question of the day: Do you like to read? I have a feeling you do.

Hello there, you may remember me as the guy who wrote that Cross Channel review you liked. Anyway, your Apollon review led me back to your profile once again and upon checking out your list I found myself agreeing with most of your scores and tags. So I was thinking we could chat. How 'bout it?

imbecilic | 05-08-12, 8:17 PM
(Sorry for the delayed response, Senpai.)

Interesting to hear that there's such a diverse range of conversational topics in the Steam community. I'll keep this in mind if ever I am in need of something extra to satiate my boredom (this happens quite often).

Why not? I'll download the steam client.

I thank you profusely for providing me with an alternate source of entertainment.

Now, why don't we chat a little about our favorite hobby (watching ahnimay, in case you didn't catch my drift)? Let's embark on a riveting exploration into one another's anime likes and dislikes.

imbecilic | 05-05-12, 5:45 PM
Haha. I'm a lonely bastard myself, so I can't be judgmental about that.

imbecilic | 05-05-12, 5:42 PM
[continuing previous conversation here, b/c MAL message system is too much for my poor little netbook]

Unfortunately, I don't have much money to splurge due to my educational endeavors. Otherwise, maybe I would dip my toe into the world of gaeming.

If I really wanted to try becoming a "girl gamer", though, I could just start with my onii-chama's collection. I'm sure he would allow it. In fact, he often laments his lack of a readily-available gamin' buddy.

It's just...I'm far too lazy to put in all that practice.

So what else do people talk about on Steam besides gaming and games? I might check it out if you direct me to the appropriate place.

I wish upon you the utmost satisfaction in your reading, good sir.

imbecilic | 05-05-12, 2:18 PM
I see you plan to read "Solanin" and "Nijigahara Holograph". I highly approve. I would suggest reading the latter first.

Check your messages, aniki. I left a little something in your inbox~
