I am just another geeky girl, with her head in the clouds, filled with endless supply of Douglas Adams quotes, anime theme songs, playing games and the desire to follow my dreams...whatever those may be.
I started my fandom with Sailor Moon, all the way back in '95... and I have been pretty much an otaku since then. Anime and manga lends itself to such a variety of stories and genres, it's hard to not find something that expands your mind, helps you through the toughest times in your life, or is just pure escapism.
I pretty much like any story that's funny, interesting, cute, different... My taste in genres is pretty varied in that sense. So long as it's entertaining, I don't really mind :)
Likes: Anime (why else join an anime site? ;) ), astrology, biology, dancing, debating, Doctor Who, Douglas Adams, drawing, eccentricity, Ellen DeGeneres, gaming, Harry Potter, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, J-rock, King's Quest, LGBT issues, manga, Missy Higgins, movies, mp3s, numerology, Pocky, politics, Prince of Persia, Project Zero, psychology, reading, Sarah McLachlan, Sarah Waters, Scrubs, Seven, shoujo-ai, shounen-ai, singing, sociology, Torchwood, Tori Amos, writing, The X Files, yaoi, yuri, etc, etc...
Dislikes: closed-mindedness, politicians, war...
Someday, my technology will catch up to the rest of the world's... For now though, I'm happy watching DVDs, and borrowed copies of fansubs. I'm patient like that... ;)
I make little comments on my entries about my scoring under the "More" option next to it - some as I am watching the series, and when I finish it. These can be found on the entries that are tagged on my list. The untagged ones are shows that I've seen a while back, and haven't tagged. So, there you go :D
And about random friends' requests - I don't accept them, unless we've talked a bit before hand. Sorry, but it just feels weird to accept them without any communication whatsoever... :S
"To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting elected President should on no account be allowed to do the job. To summarize the summary of the summary: people are a problem."
— Douglas Adams
It's pretty bad, in a very predictable way. I mean, it's good enough to be a guilty pleasure, if you like MTF gender swapping, fanservice (some of it yuri), and randomness. Which I do. I also kind of like the theme song, which is catchy. But it's this stereotype-filled nearly-plotless fan service fest. I mean, it's an average harem show with forced gender swapping and shiny colors.
To me, it doesn't make sense to say, "I want to be a psychologist" or "I want to be a biologist" rather than deciding what you want to actually *do*, what kind of *action* you want to take, and then going from that. I don't think it makes sense to base your identity on test results either. At least, I wouldn't want to base my identity even partly on the results of any kind of test that I've encountered.
So...what kind of girl does someone like you go for?
Hmm, well, I'm not really good at anything in particular. I guess you could say I'm interested in the technology that the modern world is based on, though.
I've been good, yeah sorry about not sending you a comment, I haven't really noticed you online, well lately I haven't really been doing that much, I bought a PS3 a few weeks ago so I've been playing a bit of that and apart from that mainly just watching anime every now and again. How's Pani Poni Dash going?
My holiday.. wow that was 8 months ago already.. time goes so fast I forgot about that, well I went to England, America, Japan and Hong Kong, all of them were really good, but my favorite was Tokyo, we were only there for 5 days but we saw a lot and Akihabara was great, since then I want to go back and get more anime stuff.
How about you? have you gone away on a holiday since we last spoke?
yeh i know what you mean, i guess i should of realise the market was going to be pretty bad once i arrived home. dont let not finding work get you a bit, i know everyone need money but like im sure education is more important. if you ever need anime i can always send u over a copy of something to keep you occupied for a while =P
