Ouran High School Host Club, fortunately and unfortunately, is the only one of its kind! :( When I had first watched it (it was my third anime), I searched and searched for a similar anime to no avail -- I found Fruits Basket and Noragami thanks to recommendations on this site, but still neither of them were so similar to it. One show that I got the most similar vibe from, though it is a boys' love anime, was Love Stage!! It has great comedic scenes like that of OHSHC, but it is a BL and it is a little more graphic than OHSHC (but don't worry, it's not full on yaoi) so if you're not into that I wouldn't recommend it. There's also Angel Beats!, an anime that is made by the same dudes who made Clannad; it has amazing comedic scenes and has bittersweet romance. Hmmm, Kids on the Slope is a romance-drama (no comedy) that I enjoyed a lot recently as well; it's fast-paced and deals with high school kids, though it is more dramatic. Just recommending it since I can't think of anything that compares to Ouran High School Host Club. I could recommend some that I haven't seen (School Rumble, Romeo x Juliet, Spice and Wolf [currently watching this one], Vampire Knight), but you will have to see for yourself if they are what you're looking for because I haven't watched them. So yeah! That's that. :D
Hello! I saw your review on Amnesia, checked out your profile, and saw that you are a rom-com fan. As a rom-com fan myself, I would recommend Nodame Cantabile and Noragami: Nodame Cantabile is a music-based anime, and the graphics are pretty bad -- but it's hilarious! The romance is fresh and, unlike many other rom-coms, does not revolve around high school kids (college kids, yay). Noragami is more shounen-esque with its action scenes and pretty cliche story line, but the comedy is great and the romance leaves you wanting more (and I think a season 2 may be in the making). Mmhmm. I can recommend ya some more if you're into romance without comedy as well, or well-developed romances that are present in non-romance anime! Good day. :)
