wow. I ended up playing Heavy Rain after all, and I'm glad I did. It starts off kinda boring, but after you like 2 hours in, I couldn't stop playing. The fight scenes are intense even with them being quick time events and all. I recommend playing it asap.. I'm not even done with it just yet, there's so many possible endings.

It's more of a hate-love relationship. I think it's an awesome game at it's core but the fact that you get a penalty when you die is a game killer for me. I think it took me like 6 hours to finish the first stage, and after that I knew I probably wouldn't be able to stomach the rest. It does draw inspiration from a lot of old nes games with the challenge. Ghouls N Ghosts comes to mind.
Your call really, I imagine it becomes less challenging after you beef your character up to a certain point.

ah nice, I'm going to try and get my buddy to share Pixeljunk shooter with me. It looks neat.
I don't know about Heavy Rain yet... the demo is interesting, kinda.. but the gameplay is really different. Don't know if I can take a full game of random button pressing.
I bought Demon's Souls when it came out but you either love it or hate it. I think you'll like it since you took the punishment of veteran in cod. :> It's a lot of trial and error, I can say that much.
I'll give you my thoughts on WKC when I get enough time with it.

Last.fm on Xbox never came to Canada. It kinda sucked.
What are you playing on PS3 as of late? started playing mine again. Picked up White Knight Chronicles. Seems like it didn't get reviewed well but it looks cool so I'll give it a go.

Haha, I never seen a game that encouraged so many playthroughs as ME1. I lucked out on my last run and got two of those ally achievements without barely doing any quests. They're really bugged/tricky.

Did you enjoy ME2 a lot? saw you were doing an Insanity run, good luck on that. It's tough. I gave up personally, I'll probably will play it again when there's a good amount of significant DLC.

There's something similar to gamefly in Canada but I found all their newest games were always rented so I stopped using it. :( I only buy the ones I see myself putting a considerable amount of time into anyways. I can rent from the store otherwise.
I just re-bought Mass Effect for a save file run for ME2. I lost my other saves when I sold my old Xbox (bought an elite when MW2 came out). It's cool though - it comes with a separate disc with DLC, gamerpics and a free premium theme.

It's all subbed by [BSS] with the exception of 2 clips. The second "movie", Beyond just came out and got subbed in May. as far as I know those last 2 clips won't be subbed unless they find a translator willing to tackle it. I heard they're a pain in the ass to translate.
