I am ZoraPrime. You might you remember me from niche websites like... okay, so you won't. Anyways, my joy for anime as started slowly but surely, with Fullmetal Alchemisst and has grown steadily since with other various anime. I am a gamer at heart though, with my favorite series being the Tales of series (of which I have played and beaten all mothership titles). I am very fond for other JRPGs, which probably lends myself into liking anime (and consequently manga, although since I can't stand reading off a computer and thus forced to buy them, I rarely read them, but enjoy them nevertheless). That's really all I can say as far as hobbies though.

Also, you might notice I tend to rate anime rather low. The reason is because if I follow the usually paradigm of using 10 for something amazing, 9 for something strong, 8 for something good, and 7 for something servicable, with 6 being crap, it causes all numbers to bunch between 10-7ish, with the occasional 6. As such, I feel that a better paradigm can be used that better expresses a range of opinions. These opinions, are roguhly:

10-Amazing show. This is one that I can rewatch any day of the week and enjoy it, and/or an anime I can say earnestly say has changed me (as is the case for Eureka Seven). Now, nothing is perfect, but something that is a 10 is a series I felt was perfect for me.

9-Incredible show. This is a series I felt was very strong. All elements, or at least the emphasized ones, all provide a very enjoyable experience. However, something about the show makes it shy of being "perfect for me," such as perhaps the show has one too many boring spots. Nevertheless, shows of this caliber are damn good shows.

8-This is a great show. It's a show I had the pleasure of watching, and would greatly watch it again. Nevertheless, I felt it had at least one egregious flaw, or that something about the experience detracted from the overall quality.

7-This is a strong show. A show like that is definitely worth watching, and I'd recommend it in a heartbeat. However, it isn't a show I would want to rewatch. I watched it once. I'm done with it. This ends up being the first dividing line.

6-This is a good show. However, the show suffers from multiple egregious flaws. It's a show that is worth watching, but beyond that, cannot say much else. Trigun perahaps illustrates this best: the show has some of the finest character I've seen--but, I find it just too damn boring. That said, if something receives a 6 or greater, it means it's worth watching and it's a good show.

5-Serviceable. This is the I'm really bored and I might watch this. Any dropped anime necessarily merits this score or lower, as it wasn't worth watching in my eyes. Basically, I must be pretty bored to watch it, but if it's there to kill time, it will do its job.
