Thanks for the reply, I was just curious. I heard it changes and becomes better toward the end, so I look forward to seeing that. I think it's pretty good so far, just nothing outstanding. I'm watching the dub on Netflix at the moment, but I have fiber optic internet so no problem there.

What made you decide to rewatch Moon Phase? I'm on my first time through it at the moment. It's decent, but I can tell that it's not something I'd take the time to watch more than once.

However, I might pick up some of the manga for comparison.

edit: It's funny I could tell you watch anime on Netflix before reading it on your profile.

That's really cool you do national events and can win money :) I can't imagine competing on a national level.

Wow that sounds like a lot of fun! I couldn't do it because I'm so clumsy but I do love to go fast ha-ha, that feeling of exhilaration! Did you lose some money or do you mean win back what you've invested?

Moving is always a big undertaking and downsizing is an even bigger one! I just had a yard sale this last weekend, clearing out a bunch of the stuff we don't use. If you have enough for one I'd say go for it! Never hurts to make some extra cash on our old stuff rather than just giving it away lol.

I'm alright, been busy as well, taking on a bunch of projects trying to distract myself from life ha-ha. Re-decorated 3 bedrooms in the house in the last month, mine is next and last but I'm worn out so I dunno if and when I'll get it done, tho it certainly needs it!

It really all depends on how invested you are into the series, how much you love the characters, how you like the setting, the whole ninja aspect of the show, or the pirates of one piece, basically the universe that constructs the series.

Some people just want to get along with the main story and thats ok, but if you find the show to be very addicting and engaging, then i think you can find the fillers to be some what entertaining, even if they do not follow the cannon story line. For example one piece has some of the greatest fillers ive seen personally.

Naruto on the other hand, the "original" series anyways, the fillers are all together essentially so its really easy to skip if you need to, the episodes 1-135 and parts of 142 and the last half of 220 is the only main story. Episodes 136 to 219 is basically all filler arcs, some are great, some are pretty bad.

Shippuuden is a bit different, its like bleach where they will insert certain filler arcs in between the main story but the transitioning is done very well unlike bleach which just abruptly stops half way through the story only to enter a whole another story, i can see how that is very frustrating.

The problem with naruto shippuuden, is some times people that skip the filler miss out on certain manga parts, because some times some of the episodes have half filler, half manga, and visa versa. The original naruto series (1-135), is pretty much full canon all the way through with the acception of the "land of tea arc" which is like only 4 episodes.

But like i said it all depends upon how you are invested in the show.

Take dragonball Z for example. I watched it way back before i even knew what filler was, i just found it entertaining, the saiyaman arc was different, but it shown how gohan handles every day life in school as a super saiyan and also how he meets his gf videl which eventually becomes a fighter her self. It kind of took a break from all the over the top action and i kind of appreciated that. It introduced a more slice of life approach to the show which you don't get often in DBZ lol. Yes it was filler, but i still loved it. Looking back at it, i think i like the original DBZ more so then i do Kai, because Kai is the main story all the way through, but alot of the filler in DBZ helped to build more depth on alot of the characters and their relationships was more expanded upon.

I do have a blog btw on the original series filler, pointing out some interesting things, but i wouldn't read it until your at least up to 135 in the series.

Just because its filler, does not mean its terrible, i don't have that attitude when looking at anime like alot of other fans do. I am kind of like you, i watch it all.

Yeah out of the "big 3" bleach really wasn't the best series. It was way to linear, it lacked any sense of real deep story telling and underdeveloped characters. The core story was very subtle and it mostly consisted of just straightforward action you know like DBZ. If you like action, then yeah bleach is great for the battles and action but it really only caters to the true shonen fans.

Naruto and one piece on the other hand on a whole different league in my personal opinion. I like both series equally but for different reasons, ODA's ability to develop characters is just out standing and everything kind of remains consistent with in the story, though one piece does drag on some what, the story is not nearly as fast paced as naruto is. The over arching plot in one piece is thier its just not protrayed as the core element of the series. One piece mostly involves adventures, meeting new baddies to take down and an absolutly astanoshing cast of characters that you just can't possibly forget bout once you get into it.

Naruto on the other hand has one of the best stories ive seen in most shonen, it does not drag at all like one piece and its much more progressive, moves things right along. Besides the fillers, you never really feel as though their is a break in the plot, the characters are great to, some don't get as much attention as i would hope, but still over all its a fantastic series with a very interesting universe and setting that involves shinobi and kishimoto's real talent is being able to explore and introduce all of the many concepts of the series, like how chakra is used, the clans, the different countries, it really a great show and has some of the most amazing animation ive seen. Just wait till you see episode 133 of naruto which is the final before the 80 episode filler arc.

Personally i think the original series stayed more true to the manga and more consistent when it came down to animation, unfortantly shippuuden suffered a bit in the animation department, some arcs were just amazing, well others seemed subpar in production quality. But i guess that goes with any long ongoing shonen.

Anyways, naruto is nothing like bleach, its not straightforward linear action, with hardly no plot, its a great show, a great cast of characters, an interested setting and universe that kishimoto constructed, an awesome villains, many plot twists in between, etc. You'll like it if your a shonen fan.

If your the kind of person that enjoys a well though out story though, then naruto is by far better then bleach, most people can tell you that anyways.

Just be careful not to look much into video's photo's and things like that, cause thier is way to many spoilers for naruto around the web, thats the one thing thats kind of hard bout a long on going series, when they showcase certain revelations in the story, they suddenly just spread all over the net and even newcomers to the show are some times spoiled.

If your a huge fan of shonens like FMA, bleach, One piece, you won't regret getting involved in naruto.

It is funny, aswell as something that can come back and pretty much last indefinately.
