I mostly try to base my scores on the word MAL uses to describe them, because numbers feel a bit too vague for me as a descriptor.

Should go without saying, but all my scores are entirely based on my own opinion, perception and overall subject experience. Some scores are more logical than others, some may be entirely emotion based. To me, in art, subjective appeal and emotional attachment is always more important than objective qualities and mechanical aspects, thought they still DO affect my enjoyment.

I like to score, list and organize things as a hobby, but I don't really take this too seriously, so please don't take my scoring too seriously as well. I also change/update my opinion/perception on things a lot, so all scores are susceptible to change. I try my best to not be affected by nostalgia. I tried re-watching most stuff I watched as a kid to be able to judge them more fairly, but some I dislike so much that I can't be bothered to re-watch. Sorry.

10 = "Masterpiece" = Phenomenal, exceptional, outstanding, magnificent, cinema, kino. Affected me personally somehow. Unique, unforgettable experience. Flaws didn't affect my enjoyment. Rewatch/reread moments all the time.

09 = "Great" = Excellent, amazing, fantastic, wonderful, terrific. Probably didn't hit me that personally, but still made me feel something. Maybe something small bothered me a little. I’d rewatch/reread them frequently.

08 = "Very good" = Amusing, enjoyable, delightful, satisfying. Didn't hit me that personally, but still made me feel something. Something small probably bothered me a little. I'd still rewatch/reread these series for fun. It likely had high technical qualities.

07 = "Good" = Fun, neat, cool, nice. Didn't hit me personally, maybe made me feel something. Something probably bothered me a little. Worth the experience.

06 = "Fine" = Ok, alright, acceptable, tolerable, passable, decent. Didn’t hit me personally or made me feel anything substantial. Something bothered me quite a bit. Not a complete waste of time, but I would not have missed skipping most of the shows in this score (or below).

05 = "Average" = Ordinary, mediocre, bland, pedestrian, unremarkable, prosaic, mid. Didn't affect me in any way. Quite a few things probably bothered me. Probably bored me a lot throughout, but it wasn't terribly bad.

04 = "Bad" = Incompetent, rough, uneven. Didn’t affect me in any way. Flaws outweigh the good aspects. I didn't have a pleasant experience seeing/reading it for the most part, but at least a thing or two were good/decent.

03 = "Very bad" = Lamentable, miserable, pathetic. Affected me in a negative way. Barely any good aspects. I didn't have a pleasant experience seeing/reading it, has almost no redeemable quality to it.

02 = "Horrible" = Awful, terrible, painful, dreadful. Felt painful to go through it. Nothing good about it. Had a terrible time with it.

01 = "Appalling" = Abysmal, abominable, atrocious, worthless, pure garbage, absolute shit. Affected me personally in a negative way, felt offended by it. Absolutely no redeeming qualities. The bad is so bad that it negates everything else this work is trying to do.

The "Favorite Characters" section is about characters I find either highly enjoyable or characters I deeply sympathize with. They don't necessarily need to be particularly well written, though it's definitely a plus. It doesn't include waifus or aesthetic-based favorites, but their appearance can also be a factor. List is in no particular order and subject to change frequently.
