Story: A great improvement on the final episode of Gundam Seed Destiny. I really thought extending it like this made it have more significance, as an ending of an anime should. I liked the added content the most, but the reason for not scoring a 10 in this situation is that I once again felt the main scheme of things was rushed. Everything else in Gundam Seed Destiny was laid out and played perfectly except the ending. And it couldn't be helped that this OAV was to have the same downfall as the actual episode. However it was a great improvement and I was happy with what they did. The story revealed some things that weren't revealed before. I find it hard to talk about the story of a single episode without giving away spoilers though, so all I'm going to say is, that it's a lot better, a great remake of the ending points of the plot.
Art: Same as Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny. I love the design of the characters, their eyes, and hair. I think the artist that designed them did a great job, since I even feel their designs fit their personalities. A lot of this can't really be described with words though. Just know that the art is fantastic. (See my other reviews for Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny for more of my opinions on the art of the series).
Sound: SO much better this time around. A special opening, and a great song that was well fitted to what was happening in the anime. I loved the opening and ending songs for this remake. I felt that the opening was perfect for the "final battle" setting that we were in.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed this OAV much more than the final episode of Gundam Seed Destiny, by far. It was greatly improved upon and I would have liked to see more. It kept me interested and I loved the added content.
Overall: Overall I found this remake of episode 50 to be a fantastic improvement and much more thrilling than it's predecessor. If I wasn't such a fan of Gundam Seed Destiny and was only watching it to watch it I would have skipped episode 50 and just gone on to watch this. I really enjoyed the new music and I have always been a fan of the art. I give this OAV a 10/10 for sure. Loved it. read more

Story: Although I thoroughly enjoyed Gundam Seed, Gundam Seed Destiny was not what I had hoped all together. My only objections were that the ending seemed VERY rushed and everything happened way too quickly in the last episode. And the ending is a really critical part of any anime, so it's important to really take care with it. I don't feel it was done as well as it's prequel. However the remainder of the story was great. I was very happy with some of the small plot twists that once again separated the character's beliefs and made them have to realize what they are really trying to fight for. I was really excited when select characters decided they needed to join the action on the battle fields once again if they wanted to see an end to the war. One thing I did notice though, there were a few plot repeats, just in different scenarios. However, don't let that make you not want to watch because there are plenty of other great plot points.
Art: The art of Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny has always been fantastic. The character designs are still my all time favourite. I love the design of the eyes and the hair styles. Clothes are also something I thought looked awesome. And of course, the Gundams look spectacular. Even better looking Gundams in Gundam Seed Destiny. Not much else to say here.
Sound: A similar set of sounds and music from Gundam Seed, but there were a few opening songs I didn't like very much. I felt that in Gundam Seed the openings were very fitting to the mood of the anime in its current episode, but I can't say the same for Gundam Seed Destiny. Especially for the last set of episodes. However, some of the ending songs were amazing and I really liked them a lot. I thought they were very fitting, just like Gundam Seed did once before. Somehow the ending just always fits in with what's going on in the end.
Character: I was happy to see certain characters return, and then be even further developed. And then to add new characters on top of that. However I don't think they did as good a job in Gundam Seed Destiny in defining the newer character's beliefs and motives. But for the most part, I was very happy with the cast. Not much else here.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed Gundam Seed Destiny all the way until the ending, as I said I felt it was rushed. (This is excluding the remake of the last episode). I loved every minute of it as I did Gundam Seed. Sadly that's all I have to compare it to. I had hoped Gundam Seed Destiny would have been better, and maybe a bit longer. But I was happy with most of everything.
Overall: Overall I thought Gundam Seed Destiny was a great addition to the Cosmic Era of Gundam. As you can see, I marked a 9 for most categories. I was very happy that I could enjoy yet another fantastic 50 episodes of the characters I grew so fond of in Gundam Seed. The battle scenes were great, as always, and I really enjoyed seeing certain characters come back to the action. It's a great anime nevertheless and I wish that everyone enjoy it as much, or greater, than I. read more

Story: I thought the plot was outstanding. The story-line is usually one of the biggest things in an anime for me, and is a big deciding factor in whether I choose to watch it through to the end or not. I've only dropped an anime if the plot really starts to bother me, but this one kept me wanting more. There were many things that unfolded and the conflicts seemed very real.
Art: What can I say here. I thought the character designs were very interesting and I noticed a lot of the style uniqueness in the hair and eyes of the characters especially. These are important things I look at in real human beings and they usually tell a lot about a person. Just the same in the anime, the design for the characters was very suiting. As for the mecha within the anime, I felt it was superb. I love the designs of the gundams and the battle ships as well. Weapon and such are also nicely done.
Sound: I thought the music and sound effects were perfect. Each song conveyed the proper emotions to fit the story, even the opening an closing. I especially like the editing near the end of most of the episodes where it leads into the closing song. It seems to always fit.
Character: I felt each character had a deep personality and was thought up with care. I was really able to connect with the characters in this anime even though I've never experienced anything like them at all. I really did enjoy getting familiar with these characters.
Enjoyment: If it isn't already obvious, I thoroughly enjoyed this anime to the very end. I watched every second of every episode and even decided upon watching it's sequel, Gundam Seed Destiny.
Overall: By now you know that I am truly fond of this anime and it's entirety. I wish any and everyone that watches the same joy that I experienced while watching this masterpiece. 10/10 read more
