[SPOILERS AHEAD] Sorry, but in order for me to write an honest in-depth review about this anime, I feel as though some spoilers from both the OVA AND THE LIGHT NOVEL are necessary.
Story: (I am only talking about the 2nd ep not the first, the first is more or less a filler, plain fan service) In this part of the OVA, Miu, Hina, and Sora's parents come back as harmless ghosts for one day after 4 years since the incident. The whole episode is seen from their point of view and in this episode we see a whole bunch of changes between everyone and
...
everything that occurred within the 4 years.
Well after the outcry and the beggings of a 2nd season from the fans of this series, the studio gave us an OVA that is basically a translation of the final volume in the Light Novel. This was a HUGE mistake in my opinion. There should have been a 2nd season instead of 1 episode because the audience is suddenly introduced to MANY new things, and its just too much to take in! [THIS IS WHERE SPOILERS ARE IN] Especially the marriage between Sora and Yuta. WHAT? WAIT WHAT? Yep. The author pulls a COMPLETE USAGI DROP and makes the impossible happen with the ending. Now, for those of us who watched the OVA without reading the novel, its a complete "What the fuck man?" moment. Is this normal? What happened in the Light Novel that led up to this? Surely there must have been a good reason for Yuta to have married Sora instead of the beautiful Raika that he was so fit for. And after extensive research and readings into the Light Novel, I assure you that I am still going: "What the fuck man.” In the Light Novel, turns out that Raika DOES like Yuta and starts to actively fight other heroines in order to get Yuta. Some of those Heroines include Sora, Miu (wat), Miu’s mother Sasha (wat), the neighbor across the street, and Yutas own college friend. Now, the light novels are not translated to the fullest, but tl;dr, Yuta ends up marrying Sora even though the girl of his dreams confesses to him.
Now, I do not want to instigate anything, nor do I want to judge other's perception of love, but this pairing was just preposterous. If you were to be suddenly in charge of taking care of your niece, since she was a pre-pubescent girl, in what stage of the relationship would you possibly have started to develop romantic feelings toward her? It does not matter that Yuta and Sora were not "blood related" the whole message that the first season taught us was that "Family sticks together" and this ending completely did a 180˙ turn. After having the audience hooked for 17 volumes, it is very insulting to be suddenly given an ending like this. It feels as though the author gives a final FUCK YOU to his or her fans.
However, it would be very wrong for myself to judge this whole anime on this one part. The anime gives us a whole bunch of heartfelt, beautiful moments and it wouldn’t be fair for me to judge the whole thing based on the ending. But like I said, it was very disheartening to be seeing such an impossible and improbable ending happen.
I will be giving this a 7/10 because the ending really did provide the audience with the closure that they needed since the first season ended and it more or less gives off the same vibes that we’ve gotten from before.

I don't usually write anime reviews, but after seeing one of my favorite rom-com harem series turn into donkey ass I feel the need to write something for this one and warn others about this atrocious series that ruined itself.
Ah, the story. This element might have singlehandedly brought this anime down. The 2nd season of Nisekoi has the "same" plot as the 1st. A Yakuza head's son by the name of Ichijo Raku has a pendant, and he doesn't know who has the key to opening it. The one with the key is his "true lover." Throughout the story we see a bunch of girls
...
join his harem with different keys.
The first season at least had SOME plot progression, whereas in the 2nd season you might as well watch paint dry on a wall. In the 2nd season, its not about the pendant anymore, nor is it about him developing better relationships. Now, although you cannot blame the studio for merely just following the manga, the story is now focused on Onodera's sister who goes by the name of Haru. This ratchet little ignorant pitbull of a character gets saved by Raku from a bunch of gangbangers and refuses to believe that it was Raku who saved her. The only reason why she hates Raku is based off of the rumors she heard from others that described Raku as a perverted monster of a person.
Okay, premise is "alright," its safe for the audience to hope that we can see some character development within Raku and Haru right? Wrong. Not only does Haru get introduced in the 7th episode, which is more than halfway throughout the 2nd season, we get nothing before it! If you were to start at episode 7 in the 2nd season, you'd miss nothing. The episodes before are merely fillers. Even after Haru joins the harem, they are so focused on trying to push her to be the Main Focus that we get next to no character development between Raku and anyone else. It is now episode 11/12 and I have yet witnessed ANY genuine character development in the anime series except for the episodes that forced Raku and Haru together as the main dish, with a little spice of Onodera.
The Art is AMAZING. Only reason I made it this far was because of the art. It is merely eye candy, SHAFT always does a fantastic job with the artwork.
Sound is great! However nothing too special. I'd say its more on the better side because of how fitting the sound is with everything thats going on.
The characters? Oh right! This show was a harem right? Right right, we had characters other than Raku and Haru and Onodera.
Raku: The same thickheaded character as before. His blatant ignorance to everyone's feelings toward him makes one want to rip their hair out, but he cant be hated as a character. He is lovable and charming to the max when he gets screentime.
Haru: Eh, I see plethoras of comments talking about how shes the new ship with Raku but I don't like it. Her choices of refusing to believe that Raku is a genuinely good person is stressful to the audience.
Onodera: Onodera is more or less the same as the first season. We see more character development with her and Raku and thats good to see because they are the #1 ship.
Literally every other girl in the harem: They are now irrelevant and are on the anime purely for the comedic reliefs.
I wouldn't be surprised if the series gets dropped and a 3rd season never comes because I don't know what the mangaka, nor the studio is doing with this series. This show with its comedic scenes had so much potential to be a great comedic harem anime. Now however, the dream is lost. A 5/10 overall seems just about right, although theres this voice in the back of my head that is telling me that I am being too lenient. Lets hope the plot gets somewhere in the future. Cheers!

Today I have finished the complete Code Geass series and I feel obliged, no, compelled to write my review on this. Although Im about 5 years late in writing this, I feel as though I should voice my opinion because Code Geass was one of those animes that after you finish, you need to take a break from anime for about 2 weeks because you are still left in the essence of what you just saw.
So the plot of the 2nd season is essentially the same as the 1st. Lelouch, along with his accomplice C.C. and his army called the "Black Knights" plan to overthrow
...
the Brittanian Government from Japanese territory using Geass, a power that enables one to do something such as make anyone do anything for you. I could not tell you how many times I had to restrict myself from watching in the weekdays because I knew that each episode would end in a cliffhanger and I would not stop myself from watching the next. Yes. Its that good. I'm not really into Mechas at all (Die-hard gundam fan here..) However I cannot believe I let something like that hold me back from watching this. To all of you comparing Code Geass to Death Note, I can definitely see where you are coming from, however, the "Lesson (Like a life tip it gives you such as: "Too much power will destroy one" or something like that.)" of both animes are completely different thus making me make the conclusion that you will get different experiences from watching both animes.
Art was fine, nothing good. After all, it was produced between 2006 and 2008. However its not at the point where its unbearable, coming from someone who thinks bad artwork is a turnoff in anime, I can assure you that you wont be disappointed. Hmm.. a 8 should be sufficient.
Not gonna lie I was thinking "What the fuck" for the OP and ED of the first season, but by the 2nd season I didnt really care anymore. It was nothing special so Ill give it a 7. Feelin pretty generous.
The characters. WOW. How should I even start to comprehend how to dive into this category. Since typing a paragraph about each character is going to be tedious and pretty much a TL;DR thing, let me just try to summarize in a couple sentences. Everyone, EVERYONE, is Code Geass is different. Each has his/her own "thoughts" that make it a complete character, and each makes his or her own rational decisions that make one not help but to relate to it. The enemies in this anime are legit. Like "I wanna rip your goddamn head off." legit. They knew exactly the tools needed in order to make a character either likable, or annoying. The main character, Lelouch, is nothing less than a badass and nothing more than a God of an MC. His smart ability to make rash decisions or choices in dire situations present nothing but a "Gaped mouth" to the watchers. I think this deserves more than a 10 but since I'm limited to a 10, that'll do.
Enjoyment? Did I enjoy this anime? What I'm wondering is why I took so long to even watch this anime. The producers knew exactly what kind of elements they needed to implement into the anime in order for this to become a masterpiece. At the end of each episode I found myself to always be saying "Just 1 more wont hurt, SURELY I can wake up for school tomorrow. Damn... maybe just one more.." Don't hold back because the word "Mecha" is in the genre. Don't. Enjoyment deserves nothing less than a 10.
Overall, with the mindfucks and surprises this anime has given me I could not think of any other way to show appreciation other than to write a review. Do not hesitate to watch this anime, and with that, let me conclude with: ALL HAIL LELOUCH!

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS
Wow, it may be a bit late for me to voice my opinions on this manga, but who cares haha.
Usagi Drop is about a 30 year old man named Daikichi finding out that his grandfather, who just passed away, had an illegitimate daughter named Rin. And since Rin was an illegitimate daughter to his grandfather, no one is willing to take her in and at first, resents her. Daikichi overcomes this fact, and decides he will take her in himself. The rest of the story follows their relationship developing and Daikichi learning the hardships faced by taking care of a child.
Right
...
off the bat, you can tell how heartwarming and how nice this manga is going to be. I personally loved the story, the way you can see Daikichi developing into the father figure as he sees Rin wetting the bed, graduating nursery school, and even losing her tooth. The realistic situations that this manga portrayed of a single parent, and the hardships and obstacles that any single parent has to go through while raising a child were perfectly shown. The characters were all oh so realistic (Which both the Anime and Manga were praised for.) And like I said, it truly was so sweet seeing Daikichi's viewpoint on life change as he is raising a child like she was his own. I truly cannot praise the first arc(?) of the manga enough, it is just completely amazing and melancholic.
.....And then came the second arc(?)... Wow um, Ill try to explain this 2nd arc(?) as with my opinions on it as simply as possible....
First off, you are suddenly, out of the blue may I include, introduced to a 10 year time skip in the manga. This is a ridiculously big problem because wasn't this manga supposed to show the development of Daikichi as he is raising Rin? Wouldnt having a 10 year skip completely contradict the meaning of the plot and story? I mean, what good thing can come out from having such a huge time skip if you are supposed to be reading about a single parent raising a child?
Secondly, no longer is the story conveyed from Daikichi's point of view. Nope, now you have Rin's point of view to read more about the story. Hey, no problem, there is change, but the change can't POSSIBLY be so bad right? Wrong, completely wrong. Now the story isn't necessarily about Daikichi's struggles of juggling between raising Rin and working. Now the story is about the regular daily high school life of Rin. Daikichi is now a supporting character, and now you see Rin just growing up each day struggling to recognize what feelings she has for Kouki (A childhood friend of Rin's, who is also raised by a single mother and loves Rin. He is an amazing supporting character I might add.) and struggling to pick what she wants to do after she is done graduating from high school. Yep, so the author, for whatever reason, completely changes the amazing vibe this manga was giving off for no reason. Yeah you heard me, no reason. None, nada, absolutely no good reason why.
And finally, the author for whatever reason once again, puts in a huge plot twist in this manga and makes Rin realize that she loves Daikichi. Yes, the man that has raised her for her whole life like a father. Rin suddenly has the electra complex and is in love with her own father figure. Yeah, I can see why Rin, or any other daughter in fact, would at some point in their lives want to marry her dad! Its completely understandable! The man who is always there for you no matter what in life, the man that puts you before anything in his life, the man who will beat the shit out of any other boy that is pissing you off. Yeah, its relatable I guess. However, Daikichi soon is exposed to this fact and he says to Rin that this is the cruelest thing that she can do to him and rejects her telling her to give him 2 years (When Rin graduates.) to really talk about this. YAY DAIKICHI! YOU THE MAN! I KNEW FROM THE MINUTE I'VE SEEN YOU THAT YOUD MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE! BUT! BUT! BUT! Before we know it, we are once again introduced to yet again ANOTHER timeskip, this time 2 years, when Rin graduates. As soon as we are introduced to this timeskip, Daikichi asks Rin to marry him.
What kind of conclusion is this??? What happened to the ethical Daikichi we knew with his amazing sense of morality? Surely you think I am lying right now. Nope. I am not. And there you go. That is how the manga ends. Just like that. And the author even had the balls to say thank you to her fans with a note that read something along the lines of "I only meant this to be a 1 volume thing but it somehow grew and grew." Or something like that. Hey I have a great idea! How about you ended the series where it should've ended! AT THE END OF THE FIRST ARC!
Yeah, I know this is manga, where the art of writing about "forbidden love" is at its climax. But it still amazes me how hard a mangaka can completely fuck up her own work. Yes, overall I put an 8 because I averaged the first arc(?) and second arc(?) together. If I was a reader, I would stop reading as soon as I see the time skip. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this review!

I think most of the people that wrote the reviews for this season of DtB were ones that were enraged right after watching DtB:RnG. What I'm trying to say is that these reviews are biased.
In my opinion, I think that everyone, after watching DtB:RnG, should just let everything sink in for a couple of days and then write a review. This is because everyone should seriously admire the beauty of DtB:RnG because for a 12-episode season, it was seriously in depth and captivating.
Trust me, I liked the first season of DtB WAY better than the 2nd, and I want a 3rd season as much
...
as the next guy. However, I can see how good the 2nd season was and why BONES wished to end it here.
Story:
The story of DtB:RnG takes place a few years after DtB did and now it is about Hei trying to stop Yin from awakening and letting the "Izanami" come out. The storyline for this was great except it raised a few questions. One question for example is: Why is Yin the doll that becomes Izanami? Why can't it be literally any other doll out there? If the story really is following the Izanami/Izanagi Myth(Mitaka documents), who is Izanagi? Who is Katsuguchi? Other than this, the storyline was well thought out and it did well enough for to entertain the DtB fans and inspired them to keep watching.
Art:
The artwork took a HUGE turn because it was WAY better than the first DtB. The sinister/dark/gloomy look of Russia and Tokyo were good, but not great.
Sound:
The soundtracks especially the ending credits were good. However at times I found myself giggling at how "immature" the music was when someone was talking/when a serious scene was going on.
Character:
Ah, this raised the most criticism in DtB:RnG. Now instead of Hei/Yin being the main protagonists, a new Russian girl by the name of Suou is the MC. When I first knew about this, i was furious. I almost dropped the anime. However I'm glad that I didnt because only for the first like 2 episodes it only focuses on Suou. After about 2 episodes, you completely forget that Suou is the main character because Hei gets as much screentime as an MC should be getting. I personally really liked Suou because as a 13-15 year old, she was strong and tough as nails to be getting along with the new Hei. Even in depressing situations she never seemed to give up and she was always strong. On the other hand, even though most people HATED the new Hei, I really liked him. The new bum-drunkard Hei is still the same Hei in the end except he becomes a more harsh, unshaven, long hair-dont care Hei. This didn't bother me because lets think for a moment. Hei lost most of the things he ever had in the 1st season of DtB. Now in the 2nd season, Hei lost the only thing he had left: Yin. It makes sense that he would become a depressed bum after literally losing everything he ever had. However, as the time goes on in DtB:RnG, the relationship that Hei and Suou develop is beautiful and its mainly because of Suou that Hei slowly reverts into the Hei that we know and love.
Enjoyment:
Overall, DtB:RnG was very pleasing to me. Even though the usual feel of DtB is gone, DtB:RnG still maintains the strong characteristics that DtB had.
Overall:
In the end, this anime, if given time to understand it, was great. The possibility of BONES producing a 3rd season is close to 0 since it has been 5 years since DtB:RnG was produced, and the ending of DtB:RnG was very satisfying because it ended in a way for the viewers to interpret the future however way they want to.

Hm... Although others have said literally everything I have wanted to say, I cant help but write my own review.
This anime is by far, the best anime I’ve watched with the most feels. Wow apparently this movie was a huge hit in Japan and honestly I’m glad that it was. Although some might disagree with Gin and Hotaru’s love because of the initial age difference, I tell those to go fuck themselves. This movie EXCELLED in artwork, romance, soundtrack, and the FEELS. Lets talk about the artwork for a second. Unlike the other girls in modern anime with the shiny legs, sexy hips, pink hair,
...
and huge titties, in this movie, Hotarubi(the main girl) was nothing short of beautiful and innocent. What I mean by this is how regular she looks. She doesn’t have D cups, her face isn’t model material, and she isn’t the sexy tsundere character you usually see. Instead, her personality, which is composed of pure kindness and love, truly makes her stand out from every other girl you see in animes. This makes her the perfect match for Gin, who isn’t a spirit, but isn’t a human either; his body is weak and his character is also nothing short of being kind and heartwarming. The soundtrack, ESPECIALLY the ending song: Natsu no Miteita, truly conveyed the feeling of the summer that would never come back again. The feels of this anime was what REALLY got to me. The tragic ending gave me so many tears running down my cheek and I honestly wish there was another movie giving this some sort of an alternate ending. The love that Gin and Hotaru shared was completely pure in my opinion. Even in the end, when Gin was ******SPOILER ALERT****** fading away and he asked Hotaru to hug her, they only hugged. No kiss. This is exactly the kind of romance that I love, nothing too serious, but pure. I honestly hope to God that one day in Heaven or on Earth, I will experience love as pure as this. This was an amazing piece of work done by Takahiro Omori and I can completely compare the work of this with Studio Ghibli. I will definitely rewatch this someday and thank you to the producers who made this because this truly provided me with nostalgic feelings and it was a nice cleansing of the heart and soul. This movie was never boring at any second considering how short it was. The definition of “Bittersweet” perfectly suits this anime because of how satisfying yet depressive the ending is.
FOR ALL YOU TL;DR READERS, HERE IS THE SHORTENED VERSION:
Story: 10/10 The plot for this was well thought out and written amazingly. Although *******SPOILER ALERT******* Gin's death was sudden and out of the blue, it truly was for the best since Hotarubi could tell by herself that that summer was their last and they would have to move on afterwards.
Art: 9/10 Although it wasn't something that COMPLETELY captivates your eye, it seems as though the artist knew exactly what he was doing with all the pastel colors and shades. Even trees seem to play a big part in this movie for some reason.
Sound: 10/10 Each scene wasn't complete without the perfect music that this movie offered. Like I said, the ending credits song: Natsu wo Mite Ita perfectly gives you the feeling of the summer that wont be coming back. It is as if the conductor knew EXACTLY what he or she had to play to involve the audience as much as he or she could.
Character: 10/10 Each character had his or her own specialty. What I specifically loved about the characters was Hotarubi's personality. Watching her grow up and never losing her kind spirit was heartwarming and it was soothing to know that she was the one who was in Gin's arms as *****SPOILER ALERT***** he died. Gin is mysterious however still very likeable because of his calmness and his loving attitude towards Hotarubi.
Enjoyment: 10/10 I just couldn't help but shed tears when at the end Hotarubi said: "Come on, lets go." as if she's telling us, the audience, to move on just like how she is. Don't even get me started on how full of tears my face was when as Gin was fading away, he calmly told Hotarubi to come into his arms, and as he told her that he loved her when Hotarubi was on the ground.
