Wow you must have a different time zone if you go to sleep during this time. Where do you live?
Oh and i wouldn't really categorize my self as an "otaku" the term generaly means having a obsessive compulsive addiction to the hobby and not just anime, but everything that relates to the japanse cultural of anime. Alot of people go to conventions, enter cosplay contests, even set up thier own otaku fan groups, have you seen "Genshiken"? lol I have not done any of that unfortantly. The town i live in, really is kind of a back water, not alot of things to do here and not alot of anime fans here as well.
In any case anime really is just a form of highly entertainment media to me and nothing more. It isn't my life per say, i would probably consider gaming more of an addiction then anime is to me. Because i used to write alot of reviews, walkthroughs, etc. Though i do love forums and love entering discussions, or debates bout certain topics that relate to anime. I am far from an otaku.
I just watch alot and have been watching anime since i was like 12-13 years old and im 27 now. So yeah it is definitively one of my greatest hobbies.
