Ok, so where did the bad man touch you? xD I've actually never been to a con nor cosplayed so my knowledge is limited to "I like it when hot girls cosplay as sexy anime characters" and "NO FAT CHICKS!!" ;) For guys the rule is try and look as cool as possible and avoid looking gay, if you can avoid that you have nothing really to worry about. I'd say stick with a somewhat well known character that you actually like whether your friend likes it or not, unless he'd ditch you and not take you with him at all D: It also depends on how much time and work you want to put into your costume, I'm figuring not too much so in that case you don't need to cosplay a really complicated character. Also you probably don't want to be something too obscure, unless you don't give a fuck about people asking who you are supposed to be.

Off the topic of my head the ideas I'd recommend to you are someone from Angel Beats (didn't you like that quite a bit?) maybe Otonashi? Fullmetal Alchemist is also a very popular cosplay choice to the point of being overdone, especially the two Elric Brothers (its an idea but I suggest you ignore that idea) You could also cosplay as a character from a current gen anime that isn't very old. I feel like I'm letting you down but the important thing is that you're going to a con, have some fun, and cross your fingers that you see some sexy booth babes or cosplayers ^_^ also deals on anime dvds and other merchandise. We can brainstorm this more if you'd like, I'll do some cosplay research tonight or tomorrow to try and get a grasp on what is popular now. You could do the same.

I got a new computer for my birthday and just haven't gotten around to re-downloading all of my stuff or my accounts. I usually was auto-signed in on my old computer but when I tried to log in here I discovered that I had forgotten my password :/ I haven't been doing much anime watching lately either way though, school and stuff going on.

I thought Netflix had choices for all countries it is available in? They used to have quite a bit of anime on Instant streaming and that is where I saw a lot of my most recent stuff, you might need to try and look it up on their website and see if a particular show is available, its kind of limited in that the shows they have are only the ones licensed and released in English and you're forced to watch it dubbed even if you don't want to.

And if I give it a chance it will probably be the anime, I buy all my manga and I can't spend too much money now that I don't have any income at all. Although they literally just called me to hire me for a small job starting next month. :P

Yeah, Yen Press picked it up a while ago. I like the Xbox cover, almost bought it because of that. xD
