>I would say something to him but he's barely around and mostly inactive at the best of times these days.
Can't be helped. ;_;
>Yeah we discussed why the anime was pretty shit I'll admit but the source material looks pretty good.
>but the source material looks pretty good.
>pretty good.
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh.
>Supposedly if the console version (all ages edition) does well enough, age might have a port and 18+ edition for PC.
That's cool, I guess. Even if it got a PC port at this point I still wouldn't read it. Doesn't have the heart that Alternative had, you know? Then again, Total Eclipse has its origins promoting a figure line so that says it all, doesn't it. I'm aware it was only supposed to be a volume long and was expanded into a full series due to popularity... But popularity doesn't always equal quality. The anime literally cutting off halfway through the story is such a cocktease, urgh. Everything about TE leaves a majorly sour taste in my mouth and it's unsurprising many fans of the original series want nothing to do with it. The only side stories I'd willingly read are Alternative Chronicles, but I don't think my moon would be up to par where technical terms are concerned. Someday!
>Kind of sucks that Yuuya/Ono's character will be mostly a silent protagonist except for certain times like in Alternative's flashbacks and epilogue. Anime pretty much gave him presence and character that's going to hurt to see muted for most of the VN
Must be frustrating. It's not like it's 18+, why even bother with not giving him a voice? It's not like people buying it don't already know what the guy sounds like.
>Oh, and the final TE blu-ray volume comes out next week iirc, which will have the spoiler episode bundled with it.
Wait, what? Will it be like a special trying to cram in all the highlights from the parts not animated or something? This sounds like such a bad idea holy shit.
>Are you still following Devil Survivor 2's anime?
I never got around to the game, so nope. Don't know if I'll still pick up the game. All in good time, maybe.
>And glad to see you like Attack on Titan.
Admittedly, I didn't take to Shingeki at
all when I first sped read through the manga. I read all of what was there in the space of a night several months back, and honestly? Thought it was nowhere near worth all the hype and praise it was getting. I remembered all of five, six of the characters. Didn't know who the rest of the crew even were save for Mikasa/Armin/Eren/Ymir/Annie. Bert/Reiner/Jean/Connie who, now? Like a weaker version of Muv-Luv, taking away everything which made it memorable with a genderbent Takeru/Sumika thing going on. I read a little while later that the mangaka was directly inspired by Alternative, so that made sense in a way. So yeaaah, still didn't care too much! Then the anime aired, and everything changed. I was blown away by that first episode, and naysayers be damned. That was a thoroughly well crafted episode, possibly one of the best firsts I've ever seen. The strength of that first episode made me want to give the manga a read. Properly. I came to finally like the characters, and the series as a whole.
>p.s.: "teddydrum" ?
A Penguindrum reference! Little bombs in the shape of (surprise surprise) teddies. I was fond of the name puella-magi and what it represented and all, buttt I didn't want to continue to associate myself with Madoka. You know? MAL users get one name change per month, so I'll probably pick something else next month and stick with that. 'teddydrum' is more of a placeholder.
