~Origin of My Username (in case you were wondering)~
In middle school, my friends and I came up with “cool” nicknames for one another: mine was Demonic Light due to my bright but surprisingly disturbed personality (yeah, I know we were awesome T_T). We then decided to translate our names into Japanese (because that was even cooler), so my nickname became Yasha (“female demon”) Hikari (“light”). That translation is probably completely retarded, but we were, like, 12 at the time so whatever.
So there. I’m Yasha Hikari. You may shorten it however you please.
~Random Facts About Me~
-My favorite colors are red, black and gold. The only colors I honestly don’t like are neons.
-My hobbies include watching anime and good movies, reading manga and good books, drawing, singing, listening to music, writing, surfing the interwebs, collecting figures, sewing (for cosplays), eating, sleeping, and procrastinating.
-I'm a college freshman.
-I'm a Christian.
-I curse like a sailor.
-I have a similar home situation to Rena Ryuugu.
-I enjoy comparing myself and others to anime characters (as I did above 8D).
-I’m as single as can be. I’ve only had one boyfriend in my life, and that “relationship” didn’t end well.
-I’ve been described as “tsundere for the world”, yet I can’t stand the typical tsundere archetype. Go figure.
-I appreciate all types of music. The only things I don’t like as a rule are hip-hop and rap.
-Likewise, I appreciate all genres of movies, TV shows, anime, manga, books, etc. If I have a problem with something, it’s because of that one thing, not the genre.
-I have a horrible habit of creating OCs (original characters) for every show I watch.
-I love conventions, and I love cosplaying.
-I also love RPing (role playing). If anyone wants to RP something with me, just send me a PM~
-I’m 50% Italian, 50% everything else in Europe, and 100% American.
-I’ve taken eight years of French and am still not fluent. I just started to learn Japanese.
-I’ve traveled to Canada, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and stopped in some other places for no significant amount of time.
-I love Italian food, Japanese food, and chocolate.
-I can’t cook anything except Asian food. Seriously. I’ve screwed up pancakes.
-I’m no good at sports, but I enjoy participating in a good game every once in a while.
-I am the biggest Kamina fan you will ever meet. If you want to take me up on this fact, feel free to. If you beat me, I’ll put it up here that you’re a bigger Kamina fan than me. But be warned: if you challenge me and lose, you’re name will go here for that too. >D
Current goals for 2009:

-Complete a Rena Ryuugu (school) and a Milly Ashford (casual) cosplay for a convention in November. In progress
-Find all of the OVAs on my “Plan to watch” list and watch them. In progress
-Play and beat the video games I’ve had sitting in my room for two years.
-Organize my possessions and sell/otherwise get rid of what I don’t want. In progress
-Somehow participate in the theater productions put on by my college. Completed!
-Somehow get dogs into my life.
-Draw and write more.
-Improve my overall physical and mental health.
