Give me something worth caring about, not just another boring adventure.

What is my ideal anime? It must possess:

    I love reading long comments, but that doesn't mean I ignore the short ones, as long they actually say something and not "OMG LOL hai~". I quickly get fascinated by discussions with anime, and even if it's a series I might not have particularly liked, chances are I'll enjoy discussing it. Don't let a low compatability rating with me turn you away from saying "hello". Who knows, maybe we'll spark a long discussion and you can win me over towards your preferences.

I don't know why, but I didn't see the comment you left on my "licensed manga" rant back at the beginning of december :( I wanted to thank you for your comment and your opinion :D I was pretty mad when I wrote that, lol. But I agree with you... they really need to start marketing it towards the fans. Del Rey is the best I've seen - any manga that I've picked up from them have had culture explanations and alternate translations for things they could have done differently in the back. liavalon | 01-09-08, 11:43 AM The opening episodes for 12 kingdoms did not hook me, I don't like seeing the main character look weak and pathetic for that many episodes. I heard she's supposed to improve, but I had already lost interest by epi 4. Full Metal Alchemist was good but I never got the feeling of epicness as I did while watching series like Eureka 7 and TTGL. Plus, I didn't really like FMA's ending, I don't like sad endings in general, few exceptions are like TTGL. Reply - Anime - Manga

Neverender | 12-31-07, 7:04 PM Haha, you too. Time sure seems to fly. As for One Piece, I started it because a lot of people I know that didn't usually like shounens seemed to love it. Wanted to find out what was so different about it so me and a friend decided to start watching it (he ended up doing like 180 episodes in a week, haha). I can't say too much about it yet since it feels like I've just barely gotten into it and all the arcs I've watched thus far I had previously read in the past (read some of the manga years ago). It's nice to see it all animated though, and it seems like they handle the drama in the show a lot better than most shounens (which a lot of people seem to praise it for I've noticed). It's pretty funny too; has quite a few interesting characters. But yeah, the length of the series is definitely intimidating, lol. I don't know if I'll ever catch up at the pace I'm going. Still, doesn't seem too bad so far. Reply - Anime - Manga
