I've found this anime to be a an diamond in the vast sea of anime left unnoticed and underappreciated. Ranked beyond #3000 I couldn't believe what I was watching. It has to be one of my favorite anime.

But it is a harem-comedy-ecchi anime... Now that half of you have left to do something else, lets continue. I've noticed that other reviews give scores of (8 or higher) OR (3 and lower). Its not very logical but that shows you how the fans see this anime and why its unfortunately ranked at #3000. A hit or miss if you will.

I can quite confidently say that THIS is one of, if not the best Harem you'll watch for a long time. Let me give you a walkthrough of what makes its special and why there are many haters.

Characters - Introducing the GIRLS

3. Flat chested Childhood friend
4. Big chested wildcat

Now , anyone who hasn't seen this anime would think this is a generic piece of commercial bullshit. And why not when you look at those descriptions.. anyone would think that.

BUT when clever original personalities and extremely funny situations with adult theme dialogue are brought to the table it makes for one ENJOYABLE anime watching experience.

There is just so much to love about this anime. All of the following are very high in quality:

The OP and END music
voice-acting and cast
music in story
the art and animation

and when you look at this genre, what does Story mean??
You do not look at development, obstacles or twists. You look at the episodic themes and situations with the comedy and its characters.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS to anyone who likes this type of anime, YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED and if your not a fan please do not watch 3 episodes and give it a shitty score. At least watch the whole series before you judge.

Im writing this short review bcuz
1. This epic comedy anime needs some promotion
2. Im bored and still have 15min before I get out of the office.

This short OVA series has 4 eps as well as another 2 eps in the sequel.

This is NOT a anime that has a story, art, charachters or music and how could it with only a few eps.
BUT it is a hillarious comedy/ecchi that I give the highest praise: 10/10

I like my comedy anime and Bokutatus Tenshi Dokuro-chan is right in the top 3 along with Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou and Seitokai Yakuindomo (I cant decide who's the winner there all aswum).

But be warned an anime like this doesnt cater for everyone, and you need the right kind of - sense of humor. Still try it out if you dont like it, its only a couple of eps. long.

I actually rewatched the 1st season before starting with the 2nd as I enjoyed the first so much and I can say with confidence the second season of Kimi ni Todoke does not disappoint.

This anime is a slooow paced romantic comedy that may sometimes drive you off the wall waiting for something to happen only to be hooked in to watching the following episode EVERY TIME. I actually only had 3 hours sleep before going to work today because I just couldnt let it go. Now I feel like a zombie sitting at my desk, and thats why Im writing this review instead of doing any work..

The IMPORTANT stuff:

This 2nd season kicks off right where the first season left us hanging and continues to impress where a similar time-span style is used, that is a day-to-next-day -> situation develops and is resolved or whatever in a few days that spans 3-4 eps.

This second season has a really strong ending and leaves no loose ends like many others do, where there are still stuff to be taken care of Kimi ni Todoke took care of it. Im truly satisfied with how the story developed and finished.

For me, including the timespan, one of this anime's signiture attributes is that when you take away the "Sadako the scary ghost" part out of it, it leaves you with a cliche romcom base, BUT!! It is executed so perfectly that it actually sets the standard for future animes of this genre - if that makes any sense at all, Im sure you get what Im saying haha.

Why not a 10?
Unfortunately the above mentioned is also why I couldnt give it a 10. There is just that little originality missing from the romcom scenes that is like I said perfectly executed but not something new and unexpected.

Im not sure if there rEalLy is someone out there I need to be telling this but Ill do it anaway: IF YOU LIKE THE FIRST SEASON YOUR GONNA LOVE THE SECOND! -- And for you ppls unfortune enough not to have seen it at all, if you love romcom animes this is one of the best youll see! BRS is really one of those anime that you remember!!
I gave it a 10 and is stumped to why it has such low ratings.. and I think I might have the answer:

It has a great message and you are required to think a little bit further than your nose (as with the OVA but thats a different story and not nearly as good as the TV)

BRS is an awsum anime and retards don't appreciate how good it actually is.. The ones that like it only for the fighting scenes are idiots/BAKA. Though I simply LOVED the fights and the other world, it is complemented and enhanced by the real world depressing shit.. and therefore made a great story and ending.

Though there is major differences in art and animation in the 2 different worlds I gave better ratings as I thought the good outweighs the bad:

Story: 10
As mentioned above this has a great story and though the first half (4eps) is a little bit depressing and some charachters a bit forced in freaking out it lays the foundation for the second half, which is some of the BEST anime youll ever watch!!

Art: 8
It was difficult to give the art a score because the I dont really like the real world but the quality and abstract art in the other world is fantastic.

Animation: 10
Again as with the art, but you can't deny this is propably the benchmark in animation today. It is really something to enjoy and stand in awe!

Sound: 10
Sound and voicing is done perfect with the different settings and situations. From people freaking out to the fighting music, its all great!!
The OP is good too.

Characters: 9
The charachters really change and grow for the better and this is much of the last 4 eps. great plus sides.

Enjoy: 10
Left me awstruk and a little sad cuz it was over.

OVERALL: 10

A simply must watch!! Even if your an idiot that wants to watch the fights but try and really appreciate this great anime. TNX!!

If I can sum up HOTD in one word it would be ENTERAINING!
But as so many anime it could have been a masterpiece if only it consisted of more episodes. (It only has 12 + OVA)

THE GOOD:

Animation
Enjoyable
Lots of action
First 3 episodes is fantastic!
The fat guy's awesome

THE BAD:

Lacks charachter depth
Ecchi (will explain below)
The nurse, god damn wtf is her role in it anyway except big breasts...


First of all the ECCHI! Really I'm a guy and what guy doesn't like a little boob action and a panty shot here and there? But when slaughtered by zombies and blood spewing everywhere, thats just a bit off, Jack the Ripper might enjoy it though :)
It was all good until episode 6 and it all went overboard. Wtf I swear there was more ecchi shots than zombies per episode. It was like a gang of perverts had the animators at gunpoint.

Enough ranting about that next is the charachters. Initially there was great development in all the charachters personality as they come to accept the fact their fighting for their survival, further down there is some basic backstories and development as well as some love interest but seeing that there is only 12 episodes it's just seems a bit unnecesary. Ill say it again if this was atleast 25 eps long it would be one of the greatest!

The story is exactly what you expect it to be and delivers.

Art : Quite good, no problems
Animation : Simply awesome!
Music : I loved most of it, specially the more rock/metal songs when they fight. Intro is good too, ending theme changes every ep.

It is definitely worth the watch, very exciting and forcing you to watch what'll happen next and that's what I want in my anime!
