I am just so appalled by the unadulterated hate that mainstream shows get on this site. I really don't under stand why. Some of the cult classics from the early 90's to mid 2000, such as Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha, Yu yu hakusho. This site just does not get the attention it deserves for any of these. You would think based on how popular some of these shows are and how big the fanbases are, that we would have dedicated fanclubs and everything for the manga and anime.

Inuyasha may not be the most sophisticated story of all time, but that doesn't mean its bad. Its has some of the most charming and lovable characters in the medium and quite frankly among the female fanbase, its one of those shows that all female fans adore and can't seem to find anything close to it in terms of characters story, romantic elements, etc.

There is just something so heartwarming bout bout watching these classics, that give a sence of charming appeal that modern anime just can't contend with.

But no, we got like, what 5 or 6 reviews of the manga and like 50% of them are poor ratings. Same thing with anything that is actually aired on toonami or anything like that. I think people just like to bash the shows cause there popular. Or naruto, bleach, One piece, same thing, they get to much hate.

I have seen some websites that just have areal passion for shows like these and a real dedicated fanbase.

It was written by Rumiko Takahashi, yes. Kikyou is 17 at the beginning of the manga but it doesn't state anything about the end. InuYasha is 15.

What is this Inuyasha Character Guide you speak of? I must see it! How old does it say Inuyasha and Kikyo are? Was it written by Takahashi?
