I watched the first two episodes of Golden Time today, it was quite cute and I like the fact that it takes place in a college setting (thank god, no high school!). Looking forward to more episodes now~

How are you finding the latest anime season?

Coppelion is a little disappointing. It looks gorgeous, but I find the three girls to be a little annoying. And they really beat you over the head with the whole 'dolls' matter, and the fact that the girls have issues stemming from it. The writers should have handled that with more subtlety in the first episode. The second episode wasn't much better; hopefully the rest of the series will be handled better.

Walkure Romanze is ridiculous. Strike the Blood is silly. Surprisingly, the second season of Infinite Stratos is slightly more tolerable than the first. The rest.... eh. The two titles I'm enjoying the most so far are Outbreak Company and the second season of Magi.

I have to catch up with Kill la Kill and Nagi no Asukara, those look to be really promising. What are your thoughts so far of Kill la Kill? There was a ton of hype over that one. Has it managed to live up to that?

Hey :)

Yeah, I'm back in South Africa. Things are good, I've just started as an intern for an events website, getting some experience before I get a better job.

How are you doing?

Hey Vindi!
Sorry for the late reply.

I'm doing good lately, I guess. Though the money does vanish on my side as well. Not so much for figures but other stuff.
btw: With the Wonder Festival coming up, your wallet will be in much greater pain soon-ish, huh?

Personally, I'm really enjoying Joshiraku. It's probably my favourite anime this season. If you have watched Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, well then you'll know what you're in for. It's not as extreme, but the humor is about the same. Complicated jokes and puns included.

As for Yuru Yuru, you should definitely watch the first season before Yuru Yuri ♪♪. Even though it's mostly just stupid comedy, there are things you should know from the first season.

Ahaha, that list design. I'm already using this for quite a while now. Don't have the power to create a new one. But I'm glad you like it!

Hey guy! It's good to see a fellow SAn on here. :D Where in South Africa are you?

Sent you a friend request. Add me! Anime can be a lonely hobby in South Africa. :/

Are you up for swapping?

Thankfully, I wasn't too emotionally invested in the realtionship, so I didn't suffer much heartache. Going home and killing things in Resident Evil has made me feel better :p Good food and anime helps too ^_-

Yeah - since you have many good series still sitting on your watch list, I wouldn't really bother trying to catch up with Toriko now. Rather shift your focus to Fairy Tail, it's a much better show, and you've already invested a serious chunk of time into it.
novalis Nov 21, 2011 3:24 PM

Yeah, school has been keeping me busy, and I've been preoccupied emotionally too with a relationship that has taught me some hard life lessons...

Anyway. Toriko is empty-headed shonen fun. I only watch it now out of habit though, since I'm up-to-date each week. Fairy Tail is certainly better as a shonen. I think she should invest more time in those series you haven't finished, like Gosick and Durarara!! Unless you want to catch up with Toriko...

Mawaru Penguindrum gets weirder. And weirder. And I've only watched half of it. I'm afraid of what's going to happen if it gets weirder. Still, it's one of the more interesting shows lately, so I'd give it a shot if I were you.
