I've read your Bakemonogatari review and it actually was quite nice.
You want some recommendations... since you seem kind of an action friend, you should try the first Code Geass season or Baccano (especially this)! If you want deep conversations in a unique setting like Bake, the definitely check out Spice and Wolf.
