Intro:
Hello and welcome, my name is Ryan or as I’m known around here UnhallowedDeceit. I’ll be your guide through version 6 of my profile or as I like to call it my own little corner of the looney bin (yea I know I said there’d be a 5.x version with fancy images but that was roughly 5 years ago so bare with me). In the past I’d make this into a long, drawn out ordeal but I’m not feeling it this time so I’ll try and keep this short of sweet (plus let’s be honest I really don’t think anyone really reads this anyways).
About Me:
Quite honestly I’m not all that interesting. Just some random dude in his thirties (or older depending on when you read this, I keep a running tally above this) clinging to his long forgotten days on the internet. Due to COVID (yes this was written in COVID times) a lot of things have changed in my life so going down that road of listing occupation and what not like I had before just doesn’t feel right or worth writing. Suffice to say I wish I worked in my occupation above but I don’t, I’m nothing but a lowly Inventory Team Member at a local retail store trying to make a living while wishing I could put my degree in Game Design to use in the industry I so adore. Alas dreams don’t always come true but let’s not dwell on that. We still have some ground to cover and I wanted to make this short and somewhat sweet.
Hobbies/Interests:
Interests are pretty straight forward and it should go without saying anime and manga are a big part of it. I’ve been watching anime for far too long now (since ’99 roughly, whenever Toonami started airing anime. I had seen Sailor Moon years before that but I didn’t know what it was at the time), so long you’d think I’d be sick of it by now (which in some ways isn’t far from the truth, I’ve lost of lot of my passion/interest for it over the last 10 years or so but like any addiction it keeps pulling me back in). Yes folks that means I came in when Dragon Ball Z was first airing in the states (due to my best friends influence). Manga wise I didn’t start dipping my feet into that pool until late into high school (somewhere around the end of 2001 – middle of 2002). As you can see by my list 20+ years has taken me around the block a couple of times in this fandom. While I would pretty much watch anything in my younger days (when I would consume anime with as much gusto as a vacuum cleaner sucking up dirt) I’m a lot pickier these days and tend to only stick to a handful of genres. I tend to stick more with Slice of Life (or as it’s more commonly referred to as “Cute Girls Doing Cute Things”), Mecha (mostly the Real Robot subgenre though I have been getting a taste for Super Robot shows again), and Shoujo (Shoujo-ai included). I’d go into more detail about my particular likes in each of those genres but you should be able to grasp that by looking through my list (or, you know, looking at my favorite anime/manga).
Outside of anime/manga I’m a huge gamer (if my degree of choice didn’t give it away) and have been pretty much gaming since the early 90’s when my old babysitter used to let me play her kids Nintendo and Atari 2600 (god I feel old now saying that). Favorite genres include but are not limited to RPG’s (mostly of the Japanese variety, not an overly huge fan of western RPG’s), Flight-sim (we’re talking Ace Combat here, though there are a few other good titles in this genre), Shooters (both varieties, though I’m losing interest in the genre as a whole now), Strategy (both RTS and Turn-based, especially the 4x variety), Mech oriented (Armored Core), MMO’s (I have a huge addiction to FFXIV but I also play a few others), and simulation games (like The Sims, not entirely sure what you’d call these type of games).
My other interests are pretty standard. I’m a huge fan of music and will listen to just about everything (except most Rap (I listen to some but I’m extremely picky), Country, and R&B) with a heavy focus on Metal and Rock. I also enjoying reading, drawing, designing and coding web sites, graphic design (though I don’t do much of it anymore), philosophical discussion (yes, I consider this hobby), building Gunpla (when I can afford to buy models), and a variety of other things (feel free to ask).
Scoring System:
Now while I’ve never added this to any other version of my profile I feel it’s necessary now with all the scoring snobbery that’s been going on here over the last few years. My scores are based entirely off of my enjoyment of an anime/movie/manga, not off of any predefined criteria like art direction/sound direction hence the reason why a lot of shows skew really high (especially older anime. Not to say things like bad animation and what not don't effect my enjoyment just that I don't put heavy emphasis on it (a shitty looking show can still be highly entertaining)). To break it down:
10 - I've pretty much fallen in love with the show, a masterpiece by my own definition
9 - Just fell short of a 10, most likely found something lacking or it didn't fully grab my interest/attention like a 10 would
8 - Slightly above average but missing that little bit extra to make it a 9. Pretty interchangeable with 9 hence why my scores are generally all 8's and 9's
7 - Average or middle of the road for me. Still entertaining and I obviously enjoy something about it but not enough to score it higher.
6 and lower - pretty much trash in my eyes with 6 being the best the trash has to offer. Not really descriptive I know but if something is 6 or lower I most likely didn't enjoy anything about the show/manga/movie.
Feel free to shoot me a message with any questions you might have on my scoring system and I'll try my best to explain why I gave something a particular score but since enjoyment in subjective it might be hard to explain why I liked/enjoyed something enough to give it the score I did (and since pretty much everyone here goes off their own scoring systems it might be even harder).

This profile was rewritten and put into place on 10/19/2021 and will most likely be the last major rewrite (minor edits will still happen here and there as needed but I won’t be revisiting this again.)

We are glad to announce the opening of sign-ups for the joint Magi Summer Event of a collaboration between Mafia Society and 20+ !
And as you can guess, we want to invite you all to join us! Magi Summer Event will start on the 1st of July and will end on the 31st of the same month.
This is the 2nd Summer Event for Mafia Society and the 1st for 20+! The Magi Summer Event will take place in a seperate club for all participants and we will be invited to a Skype group and Discord's room during the duration of the Event. There you will be able both to participate in Event's games and chat with others :)

The only way we came up with is MASS MAILING :) So, those of you who are willing to continue to vote in our matches, please send me your email address. I assure you, it will be used for matches notifications ONLY. If there will be a certain number of addresses which allow us to continue, we will restart the votings!!
