I think the reason the default time is set to 20 min, 20 sec is that, while the majority of shows are around 23-24 mins, there are quite a few that are significantly shorter. Maybe they felt it was for balance? I dunno <_<
Looking at your list, I don't think your ratings are overly harsh. They could certainly be worse...
I wish I could help you with the tab transparency thing, but I don't think I can. When I was setting up my list design, I was looking at the source of a couple of others' lists, and played around with the various settings until I got it how I liked. Then the source got changed somehow, and I don't understand it anymore :)
After glancing at your profile, it seems kinda strange that we have such a high compatibility, because I don't think I'm nearly as strict with my ratings as you are :) I didn't see how many shows we have in common, though, so that might affect it a bit....
Anyway, yeah, updating the running times was something I thought about when I noticed a lot of my completed shows having times of 20 min, 20 sec. I was like, WTF??! I've spent more time watching anime than this, dammit! :D
I probably don't put as much effort into it as I should (for shows I don't have on my HD, I just go to animedb and use their times), but really I just think that as long as the times are updated to *something* other than 20 min, 20 sec, it's better than it was...
Oh, and thanks for helping out, too. Like you, I wish I could just go in and change the times myself, but I guess no one but mods can do that.
And lastly (sorry this comment's so long), I also read on your profile that you're basically in the same situation as me, anime-wise: live in a small town with basically no one but you that likes it :) Glad to see I'm not the only one in such a predicament.
