I'm not a big fan of NTR ("netorare").

No, wait. Let me correct myself: I'm not happy with how the male protagonist react when they get NTRed; down on his knees whining about how he can't compete or compare. If it were me; I'd bludgeon to death the NTRer with a large heavy object.

But for some reason, this title doesn't make me feel bad. Maybe it's Taniguchi's selfish plan to get a sexually frustrated Reiko; thus giving her back to Hiroaki and "breaking that unwritten rule about NTRing." Maybe Reiko's just likes being fucked all along.

It could've been worse; like the lot of h-anime titles where the ugly guy is stealing the girl(s). I'm personally glad that it ain't. And it still makes for good porn. read more

When this series came out, I avoided it because someone went "OH MY GOD THIS GIRL IS HAVING SEX WITH A DEAD GUY!!" But, after a long while, I went and watched it anyway to see what all the hubbub is about.

As "Asgaldh," it's a nice D&D-esque h-anime outing. It's got a hero who leads six girls, goes out to save one of them, and battle against a horde of demons. It's 90's animation art, so it's not worth complaining about.

As "F-Force," it's a horrendous take on the Power Rangers. Yet it's got a fun and colorful dub during the non-battles and non-h scenes.

Now, I don't like when the English dub "plows through the rails and plummets down the canyon" off script. But when was the last time you heard one of the main characters speak in a "Brooklyn Mob" accent? Let alone a French accent? I can tell that the dubbing department was having fun that day.

There isn't much in the way of sex by today's standards. But it's a nice show to watch. read more

Does anybody remember Brave 10? Of course you don't wanna remember it; the lot of male leads herein were a bit too awesome for you grass-eaters to handle.

Hyakka Ryouran (not to confuse it with that other badly-written anti-shounen exercise in masochistic femdom "Oh Samurai Girls") is based on the same concept: Taking known historical figures of Japan (Jubei, Hanzo, on down) and turning them into characters the audience can easily digest visually.

The concept works, but negatively. It falls right into the garbage bin where every other "cute girls do cute things, have no dignity, and beat up some loser guy" animu had been created.

At first I didn't wanna watch because I heard "ninjas and samurai slash apart weaponry sent by the US" and instantly labeled it "jingoist Japanese garbage." But then "Snickering Fat Guy" (ADV-turned-Sentai) licensed and dubbed this.

After watching 8 episodes of this on YouTube I can say that it had something going but decided to throw it away: Panty shots, maid ninja Hanzo, and schizophrenic moron/psychopath Jubei. Muneakira did have something going there at the start; being able to one-up Matabei, and keeping Sen and Yukimura from fighting... But he ended up as yet another loser who gets beaten up by the chicks for daring to have an "unneeded harem."

Look: I want Wayne LaPierre of NRA to suffer because he's an idiot for wanting to flood the streets with guns and have the gunmaking industry pocket the money at innocent people's expense. But creating someone to beat up because he's able to get more women than you ever will... DAMN!! It's as if the creators, and the fans, of this type of garbage are the type of people who fear the real world and can't accept their own powerlessness like the rest of us. read more

I don't like "gag anime." It's not that I don't have a sense of humor; I just don't have it for today's so-called comedy. People curse too much and think they're "funny." People hurt each other and it's called "slapstick comedy."

But Psycho-Pass is too serious and Inferno Cop is ripping off Marvel's Ghost Rider.

Detective Inaba is the type of comedy that takes no prisoners. A GOAT is the main baddie and nearly everyone is too slow to catch him. Said goat and his henchmen are also slow in certain ways and everybody ends up sabotaging each other.

However. The jokes are not heavily "Japanese jokes;" they're ease to translate and are pretty good for a couple of guffaws. There are even times when the people behind it forget that this animu is mainly "cops versus robbers"... And then it REMEMBERS and sucker-punches you like Black Lagoon's first episode.

So the video game franchise based on female ninjas with 3D tits gets an animu about female ninjas with 3D-esque tits. No argument there; except for the fact that Wapan wants to 1) turn everything into a female and 2) turn said females into lesbians.

The accompaning PSV game, Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus, sold vehemently well (as the lot of games that objectify women do). And yet I'm already seeing images of the ladies herein looking like NOBODY knows how to dress them properly. It already crossed the line with its lolies and guns.

The animu, saddeningly, doesn't have the upskirt panty shots when the ladies herein wear their school uniforms. But it did have some nice concepts going on:

* Light ninjas versus dark ninjas.
* Dark ninjas being "dark" because of dark pasts but otherwise good ninjas.
* Ikagura's ungifted brother wanting her sword.
* Evil head of the "Serpent" ninja girls' school.

Nice concepts that, in the end, fell flat on their faces because this "pink bishoujo ghetto" with a taint of red is STILL a "pink bishoujo ghetto."

My hope is that there's a sequel in the works that feature ninja teams 3 and 4 (from Shinovi Versus) AND a capable male lead (ala Izayoi from Mondaiji-tachi). But you know: "Wrapping the world around happy titties" isn't so "warm and fuzzy" when some guy instead of "that failing loser you" had been picked to be encased in said happiness. read more

A couple of issues from the top:

* It doesn't contain the upskirt panty shots found in current anime like Senran Kagura.
* It's only 10 episodes long. It states that it's gonna have 3 more episodes...

With that being said; the people behind this ANIME (as oppose to "animu") went out of their way to correct that one eyesore that nearly EVERYONE within the Wapanese animu industry refuses to touch. And that's THE SHOUNEN LEAD.

Izayoi is as smart as he is overpowered. He takes no crap from females, even his fellow "problem children" he meets before they all become friends. But he's no bastard. You'll like him when you get to know him better.

I mean, sure. Izayoi's not the run-of-the-mill useless self-insert either either polluting the current, popular animu as of late or being 100% excluded from it. But he's not Rance.

More episodes of this show need to be made; only to prove that you don't have to ride the animu industry's bandwagon of ill-written garbage. Sure you won't make as much money as KyotoAnimu on down. But why add to Wapan's reputation of a country that makes animu for losers and NEETs to fap their life away to? read more

I said I stopped watching the Koihime Musou series after the first season's OVA. AND. For good reason.

Shin Koihime Musou is more of the same; a "pink bishoujo ghetto" where anyone who DARES to be a guy who's voice-acted by a guy gets his ass kicked for no reason. This series' only reason it stays afloat is the vast amounts of titty nipples, upskirt panty shots, and bathing scenes.

It also adds more characters. The most notable are Ryuubi Gentoku (who's a goofball like the Gentoku of Ikki Tousen fame, but for a different fetish) and Genka Kada (a traveling doctor who can use magic).

On the real, though; the Ikki Tousen series was (a little) better. Wapan's animu industry should REALLY do something about their pedophilic love for lolies and their vehement disgust for any guy who looks and does better than their male audience. read more

When FUNimation brought out the English dub teaser for this animu (along with the frighteningly LARGE cast list), I figured I decided to go check this show out.

Originally, I wanted nothing to do with "yet another haremy animu where the women rule everything, the guys are LOSERS (and this smuck will prove it), and features enough fanservice to warrant a need for full-on adult anime but won't do it because the people behind it don't have enough spine."

Well... "Kenshi Muyo" is basically "Tenchi Muyo" done MUTHA####IN' RIGHT to a certain extent. Replacing the male lead, who spent most of his time being pathetic; with, basically, "The Most Interesting Shounen In The Word." Kenshi has the capability to kick his own harem's collective and cute @$$es (which is my standard for rating animu nowadays), yet contains 0% malice and comes off as someone who can't do no wrong.

The 13-episode, 45-minute OVA collection's got a lot going for it (some of it basically screaming "h-doujin material"):

* Delicious Dark Elf
* Girls by the shipload.
* A few characters being two or three.
* Happy Ending Massage Trope
* "Couple B" Ceres (normal with a hint of badazz) & Hazuki
* Hot MILFs
* Hot Chairwomen
* The "Char Aznable Clone"
* Shout-Outs to Ghost N Da Shell and Daul Photon.
* Professor Anne Mary Ann (Wahanly)

But in the end, this show became nothing more than a jewel "Japan via Akihabara (and therefore Wapan)" did not want you to find. It's the type of show that would smack Evangelion and Code Geass in their MUTHA####IN' faces despite the former never being as popular. And that's a shame.

It's a shame because (I SAID IT A MILLION TIMES, AMERICA'S NOT JAPAN.) In order for the Japanese to fulfill their wishes and take over the world, they need to "spine up" and "man up." They need to start making anime for the meat-eaters and make less animu for the plant-eaters.

More shounen leads need to start kicking their own harem's @$$es. Juuden-chan. Mondaiji. Nyaruko-san. Rogue Hero. Ghost Hunt and Stigga Winds Attitude. Just to name only a few; screw "Cool Japan." WHERE YOUR SPINE @?! read more

Critics of [Code:Breaker] are writing this off as a "genderswap" of [Madoka*Magica]; the little animal that isn't magical and talking is a dead givaway. But since you can't sexualize hot young men like you can with hot young women, a creative and imaginative plot must be utilized to the fullest extent.

Seriously, though: Japan's attempt on "X-men." I have no problem with that if the Japanese anime industry can pull it off (as oppose to the "Wapanese Animu Industry).

I like the concept of "evil," though. The lot of the characters in the spotlight are either "textbook evil," "technically evil," "crouching cuckoo," "hidden explosive," or just "batcrap insane." Probably, the only "good" character is the puppy with no name.

High points go to Kenichi Suzumura for scoring the role as Toki Fujiwara; son of a prime minister, protector of his sister Nenene, user of magnetism and rival to Ougami. read more

And then there are those of us who watch anime for the characters (and how awesome they are), the story-telling (and how intriguing it can be), and maybe the "cheesecake" (but it's not really important and we can get it somewhere else).

ieKKei (let me make fun of the title here) is not necessarily a "Hey, Let's Try To Please Everybody" anime. It's mainly a "streetgang vs cop," "who done [the murder]," magic + cellphone + schoolkids anime. It's like pitting the guys of "King of Fighters" against the blue-suits from "Full Metal Alchemist," then throwing in the middle the two leads from "No.6" and Nuku Nuku (with the powet of X-men's Mastermind).

At the start, it's all confusing because so much is happening. But all the characters who are suppose to be cool or awesome manage to pull it off and, after a while, it all makes sense.

The issues I have with this title is the 1st episode's focus on that skateboarder Yata, and that "rap" background music.

But seriously... It's as if someone took the good parts of Guilty Crown (mainly the art and animation department), and met up with people who ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO F### create good stories and cool characters.

Of course; all this exposition would make other people's head explode, but they're mainly fans of "My Sis Is 1 Of Them" anyway. This show's licensed by Viz and the sequel's been officially announced. It's THAT good. read more
