Maybe it's a good thing I haven't been watching much anime because it gives me an excuse not to blog which in turn lets me not have to embarrass myself by posting things next to your incredibly badass posts. Just read your newest SSY and Tempest posts and damn son. You are a natural at this, where has all this been before?
Thinking about starting Wolf's Rain soon, so that should give me something to talk about with you, how incredible! A reminder that you're still an awesome friend and I'm sorry I've barely talked with you lately.
Also holy shit I'm graduating next week.

That's an excellent point about Zeta - even when so many characters are getting juggled around between and mecha and to hither and yon, it does an amazing job of keeping them all in the rotation, making sure you don't forget any of them.
Also, I just saw the first GGG ep with Mic Sounders. By all rights, I should be hating him with a burning passion, but somehow, I think he's going to be all right. Score one for the writers!

Zeta's just fun to watch; it's hard to explain, but I love watching it, it's thrilling, awesome and even a little goofy (oh Jerid, you card) all at the same time. I'm 30 episodes in, and the action hasn't let up. Kamille grabbed me from the beginning more than Amuro did in 0079 because he was so unpredictable, and then Amuro shows up anyway so you don't even have to choose who was better!
As for GGG, they introduced the hammer a couple episodes ago, and yes, awesome is indeed happening. They're finally breaking out of the formula, doing little twists to it here and there to keep you on your toes.

The robots are ugly as sin and some of the character interaction is maddening! Like if Haruto was so hellbent on killing everyone, why didn't they kill L-elf as soon as they swapped bodies again? And also the whole not confessing in the end is a cop out and pisses me off.

I think I simultaneously like and also really really hate Valvrave. I have never felt this conflicted before.

What the heck, let's do both, I'll need a palate cleanser by the end of Zeta, from the sound of it. For you, mecha senpai, anything~~~
I think the reason I stopped GGG in the first place was because I was watching it on some crappy stream site back when I didn't know any better, they were using Megaupload for hosting, and for some reason I got distracted and dropped it.

But I'm in the middle of Zeta Gundam... (loving it to pieces, btw)
This is most definitely a dilemma.

I'm not going to completely drop off the anime face of the earth. I'm planning on keeping up with Valvrave of all things at least. I think something about how anime it is is what's drawing me in here, probably because we're lacking a Bones or KyoAni show this season. I don't like it nearly as much as Gargantia or Shingeki but I think because it's soooooooo anime something makes it super comfortable and easy to watch, whereas I can't really find the motivation to watch most stuff at the moment.
Remember, even when I went all Star Wars that one time, Birdy pulled me back in relatively quickly and made me just that much stronger. Who knows, maybe when I return in force I'll be watching a blkmage-sized load of stuff like the monster I could become. Just, right now I'm connecting with some stuff I've mostly neglected over the past half-decade.

By the way, I think I'm going to cancel my CR subscription at least for May, but when I do that I'll lose my 3 48 hour guest passes, do you want them?

Ooo enjoy Shinsekai Yori. It's an amazing show.

Gosick had a pretty decent sized list of problems but was so much fun it made up for it, and even though it wasn't perfect, I really thought it was cool how the ending tied a lot of earlier stuff together. It's actually been making me have some thoughts about serious attempts at good narratives in light novels, but I'll talk about that when I'm a little more qualified.
Also, SAO a 7 whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? The good parts barely deserve a seven, let's be fair here. I mean, the climaxes basically involve Kirito pulling stuff out of his butt to win.

Are you going to write a post about Oofuri or can I just ask you what this epiphany was? Also clear pick for best sports show ever.
Majestic Prince?

Well, that was hella weird and totally irrelevant except for like the last minute. I'll see about getting a post up in the next couple days.
