Sorry for the late response. As you can see I haven't been on much as well. Real life calls and I'm usually busy. I totally understand what you're going through. I never understood that notion of not hiring because one doesn't have enough experience. If no one hires, how in the world will one ever gain experience? Society is so backwards, but in today's world, it's all about connections. However, I'm glad there is a smart company out there who gave you the chance to shine. Show them what you're made of! You got this! Hope all is well with you and it works out. I'm doing well. (^_^)~
Guigas Sep 4, 2022 10:44 AM
Hey there Derp, you really don't have to worry about late replies! Reply whenever you can. Especially now that things are bound to get busy since you got a new job from what I read. In fact I'm really happy for you, congrats on the new assignment that you was searching for so long! Now you can cover the expenses for Japan in the future.

I'm not mad about Olympics/Japan anymore, all that's left is to try again next year and that's what I'm going to do. I'm going on vacations at May 2023 to go to Japan with a couple of friends and this time hopefully Japan will let me in without issues hahaha, it also helps that I have an old University friend that offered his house in Tokyo to stay over. I gave up on the Soccer World Cup in Qatar though, an extravagant amount of money for that.

As for updates, yes! I spent the entire August on vacations exploring Latin America for the first time outside Brazil and it was sensational. An unforgettable trip through Chile, Argentina and Uruguay with slim backpacks and a bit of bravery! I loved getting to know the highest mountains in Latin America, skiing for the first time in Chile and getting to know the volcanos at Atacama Desert (my favorite place of the entire trip, mesmerizing) and visiting a ton of touristic and non-touristic places. However, the cold treated me badly, I lost some toenails due to frozen fingers (not that I didn't expect some problem, at 6000m above the sea level, -13º celsius degrees (9º F farhenheit), at dawn of 1 a.m. to see the stars in the sky without any clouds. It was worth it, the nails were a small price to pay lol

Since I stayed in Hostels during the whole trip, everyday I had met different people and agendas to fulfill, it was a blast to travel with people from all over the world and take part on these crazy adventures. I kinda miss it already but at the same time I need a rest so I'm more than satisfied with what I got. And it is much cheaper compared to Europe, and I'm guessing compared to EUA and Asia as well. Recommended but it does demand some spanish knowledge!

Ah you can spoil Hades for me, I finished the game a few times as well and loved the aesthetics, battle systems and some weapons. I do think being reliant on RNG in terms of upgrades (not in terms of enemy variety) sapped a bit of whatever strategies I tried to execute with consistency and I had some trouble adjusting to it. These roguelike aspects usually become more bothersome than exciting for me, but that's what rouguelikes are for.

And Dragon Age: Origins is something I overlooked, going by your experience I might have to give it a go. Good luck trying to complete all J-RPGs at once, how did you fare with FF IX btw? I do recall seeing on your "playing" list a few months ago. And i wish I had Wii to play Xenoblade and the likes of it.

About my builds, I usually favor dex/str/endurance ones since I was never a fan of magic and pyros due to their potential of "killing at distance without taking risks and too much effort", an approach that doesn't excite me at all, as much as I tried to have fun with it. That's why I always favored dex/str builds through DS 1 to 3 with slight variations (usually fast weapons with light armour, I like dodging more than blocking), close combat is my bread and butter in these kind of games, as Sekiro and Bloodborne can confirm.

That's the reason I tried to do something out of my comfort zone in Elden Ring by playing the str/fth build, it worked great! Enchantments/incantations are not so boring after all. I wish my brother still play games to duo ER with me, lucky you.

My favorite Takahata still remains Hotaru no Haka though. And as strange as it sounds, I swear you'd like Miss Hokusai due to the parallels with Poroporo and was ready to rec it to you, I watched with Poroporo fans and they all enjoyed it at some level, not me because I don't like neither hahaha

Yeah, that seems to be the common opinion with Ideon, very low on my PTW honestly, thanks for the input! On the other hand, I should watch Dennou at some point in this year, sounds amazing as it is.

I didn't get too far into The Medium to get to these messages tbh. As for Umineko, it all depends on your commitment, it's a really long journey and takes a ton of time laying the pieces and misleading the reader at every corner, it's one of the most uncommon mystery stories in the sense that it demands the reader to be actively questioning what the hell is happening, picking apart what is fiction and what is not is the selling point. Comedy can be a hit or miss and I do think it's longer than needed to tell the tale but at the same time, the approach is unlike anything I consumed in recent memory and easily recommended for being too different from the norm. If the +100h VN is too much of a hassle, people go to the manga version.

I should consider that I rewatched Mushishi at this point tbh, I watched some eps 2 or 3 times and skipped very few.

Now tomorrow I'm back to work, have a great week/month and I hope you're doing great at your new assignment. Till next time, man

Oh, congratulations for getting a job, Derp. I'm going well, i work at home.

Don't feel sorry, it's alright, i hope the time you spent away from online stuff helped you.

Yes, Rewatching old things that we don't touch a long time refresh and give new perspectives from the time we grow up. I loved my Chihiro rewatch, I noticed aspects that I hadn't reflected on the first time I watched the movie.

And also like you, i tend to do more. I've already rewatch Mushishi, the pacing of the series helps you take as much time as you like to reflect and move through the episodes. I couldn't go slow as I was already very engaged with Ginko's journey and Mushi's many cases. I have to watch the 2nd season of Zoku Show yet.

I agree with you, Lunge increase on rewatch, and other character that i passed to like more is Martin. I think it's a really good cast for a long running series.
Still Grimmer remained as the character i liked the most.

Yeah, Mononoke have iconic visuals. The Mononoke cases give that freedom to play with the camera and art that the experience is a stunning horror iconography.

I know this one, it's It's a Kubrick palacian movie, right? Reminded me Versailes no Bara. Cool, it's one of your favorites Kubrick movies?
I will watch for sure. And Dennou Coils seems a unique sci-fi, i have this one on Plan to Watch.
My recommendations on anime is Area 88, a cool fighter plane show and war stuff. And Gankutsuou, a palacian anime that's a reimagining of the Count of Monte Cristo book.

Take your time, don't feel pressure and have a nice day, Derp.
_Phiro_ Aug 4, 2022 8:04 PM
Hey Derp, how are you? I hope it's all good :)

I realized that it's been a while since our last chat haha.
I noticed that you've been re-watching some anime, and I wanted to ask you how was Monster Re-Watch, looks that you liked more than before, cool.
One of my favorite animes :3

I've been watching some stuff recently, movies/animes and gaming in free time. And you? Anything interesting to recommend? (I'm slowly watching Anne and Utena man, Goats shows but i am really slow passed with them)
If you want, i have some picks that i think you will like too.

And are you no longer using Discord? It was good to chat there.

PS: (don't be in a hurry to reply to this message)

My travel plans were denied twice, sadly. I tried to go to Olympics in Japan in 2020 but then Pandemic happened. I even managed to change the entrance tickets, transport and accommodation for 2021 Olympics but it was no good, the event took place only for the local japanese audience itself and I just barely got my money back.

There's no point traveling to Asia right now as things stand as it is, with heavy visitation restrictions and the population wary of foreign people... one day I'll satisfy my weeb dreams of visiting Tokyo, Fuji Mountain and the coutless beautiful/iconic places Japan has to offer.

I still haven't decided my vacations for this year but I have a few ideas, USA is in my sights BTW, I still didn't visit the country but I certainly have the desire to get to know a few states, namely New York, California and Orlando since some friends vouched for me and they live there, meaning free accommodation yay. Or I might go to Soccer World Cup in Qatar by the end of the year, ultra expensive as it is.

Right now all I need to do is clear my gaming backlog first and actually finish long games without taking forever lol. I appreciate the heads up!

I respect that commitment of starting a single game/anime/manga and sticking to it till the end before starting something else, only a handful of works can grab me strongly enough to warrant such special attention, last one was precisely Elden Ring. I'm rather curious about what are your favorite builds towards FromSoft games, which classes you have the most fun with?

You do have higher tolerance for mecha shows than me so you might find more value in Gasaraki and the likes of it.

Lately I've been groupwatching Isao Takahata works, it doesn't really resonate with me most of the time but I managed to enjoy Kaguya Hime quite a bit and I might finish Anne at some point as well.

Someone recently sold me Ideon on the basis that is similar to Evangelion/RahXephon so now I'm itching to give it a go. I will probably watch the classic Gundams before though.

I didn't get too far with Medium, it's just too tedious and dry to make me care enough to finish it and not worth the investment. Just skip it.

As for the Alita reread, no excuses are needed, I was the one intruding on that matter anyways. You already have enough matters at hand to take care of!

Dennou Coil was a success then! I'm stuck on the first eps or so, I just need an extra push to resume it and I might find that with your take ;)

For sure, Elden Ring was one of the rare games I paid the full price after the release and I don't regret one bit, I finished recently and enjoyed a ton overall. My only real gripe is that is was not exactly a balanced experience since the open world and immediate access to most areas means that you are frequently overleveled (bosses are either too easy) or underleveded (normal enemies two-shotting your ass). Understandable since it's not linear and you get to pick your way around the world, and that's the beauty of it as well, I quite like this "trade-off" and i think FromSoft nailed the open world approach, offering massive diversity, challenges and tools at your disposal (though some underground dungeons and enemies are repetitive AF, yes I'm looking at you cursed trees and random dragons)

Out of nowhere, are you familiar with the Umineko fever that's been infecting the community? Lately I see more and more people consuming this VN/manga and making them all-time favorites, praising how it tricks with the reader's perceptions, not sure if you're interested in such a long-ass VN such as this one (nearly 100h) but I feel that's something you might love it when you get the chance to consume it. I'm almost done with it.

Rewatching Mononoke and Mushishi is the correct choice no matter what. Re-enjoy peak anime.

Till next time!!
OldBayFan Apr 29, 2022 7:49 AM
The OVAs are a pretty good place to start if you haven't already. Different continuity from the TV run but the tone is basically the same.
LiiliiLuna Apr 19, 2022 5:27 PM
Hiiiii~ I'm glad you're doing well! I'm also doing well, thank you for asking. Congrats on blossoming from Uni... the real world sucks honestly... LOL. But I do truly hope things goes well for you and that you are doing well :D
Guigas Apr 10, 2022 11:13 AM
I'm glad to hear from you again Derp! Likewise, take your time and reply whenever you have available time. I'm hoping for your success on your new phase, the spotlight will be yours soon enough.

I'm doing really fine, but I have been working so much recently that I'm having a hard time with outside hobbies, and here I thought that after the world pandemic I would get back to getting out of the house more often, now I lack the time to do so! Now I'll be waiting for my vacations to kick in and travel around the world a bit more. Which country do you live btw? USA?

So can I play Like a Dragon after Yakuza Zero? I don't remember that info and if it's possible, that's certainly what I'll do after Zero because Dragon seems fire. As for the main character, your impression can easily be understood going by the game cover art, the man seems cocky and energetic and as much as I love Kiryuu, this might be a nice change of pace.

I'm really stuck on Y0 because I have the habit of doing all secondary quests and it is endless. And on the top of it, I begun so many games, VN, etc and my backlog keeps growing because I'm starting more stuff before finishing the ones I have in hand.

About Gasaraki, like I said before, it plays out excruciatingly slow, the pacing is as glacial as the characters' emotions and the geopolitical themes are too heavy-handed to the point that alienates the viewer unless you have a deep interest in the inner political talk about how countries wage a war: I do have such interest and I love LoGH for it (but the characters make a huge difference) so I was hopeful, but here I was dozing off every now and then.

The writing is decent and super serious but the presentation felt like a soulless CNN Documentary and since comedy is nearly absent, there's not much for me, even though I was groupwatching and people was commenting in order to provide context, wake me up, complain etc. None from the 5 people that watched with me liked it... and 2 of them were mecha fans.

Positive aspects are the great sound and the mecha designs, excellent chad robots, very realistic movements, plausible technology and physics, impactful whenever they were present. It shows that they had great care with logic and plausability but emotion and charisma were absent. I honestly don't recommend but I'll let that interpretation to you after watching the initial eps.

And now what are you groupwatching? Last one I did GW was with the Fafner franchise, this one I can recommend, really cool and creative story that have some parallels with Eva and Zegapain in terms of existentialism and the animation and sound for the latter parts are fantastic. An exciting and rewarding mecha overall.

I do need to watch more Chad Char, only Gundam I've seen that has your best man PFP was Origin and it was very good, shame on me. Isn't ZZ supposed to be (one of) the black sheep of the franchise? Most opinions I read are outright bad, not mixed ones.

Well, I do have Umineko Answers and Great Ace Attorney Chronicles to sink in some solid 200h VNs so I won't be meddling with Silver Case soon but I think it'll be good stuff when I get at it.

Whenever I talk about Fist of the North, I remember that I need to resume Jojo, I'm stuck at part 4 and I want to get to SBR at some point. Given that you also greatly enjoy the remake anime, I was a bit surprised to see that you didn't binge the franchise already.

ME is awesome but I certainly don't have the time to put hundreds of hours in something I already played. I'll keep it on my memories. As for the computer, yes! Now I have a top-tier computer and I can play anything I want now, I got around assembling all the parts at the beggining of 2022 and I'm very happy with the acquisition. Played and finished DOOM Eternal in the 1st day I got the machine just to test it out lol.

I just remembered that we mentioned Medium in our previous conversations (https://www.backloggd.com/games/the-medium/), I'm playing right now and just to save you the trouble, it's bad, visuals and sound aside.

I guess we won't be reading Shin Lone unless someone can assure that there's something to gain reading huh. And how are you doing with this Alita reread? It's been a while.

Finally, I want to know your thoughts on Ideon and Dennou Coil when you finish them. I'm looking for a new favorite, it's been a while since I completed something I adore, the last one was Mononoke, brilliant stuff.

Now let me get back to Elden Ring, the talk of the town. Amazing game by all means.

Have a great day my man, I wish you all that's well.

Anilist comment

Hey Derp! Sorry to take so damn long to get back at you, the least I should have done was to "like" your comment before so that you knew I read your comment, even if I didn't have the time or will to reply properly since I am on hiatus/short break from animanga.

In fact my first Yakuza was the 1st one (Yakuza) for PS2 just when it was translated to english and released, I loved every second of that game so I already had some expectations regarding Yakuza 0, there's so much content it's insane! I've put well above 40h and still feel like I'm not even halfway. Fighting can get a bit grindy and tedious at times but the story is really putting on some weight behind the long cutscenes, badass characters and tense events, I'm thrilled so far. I still have the memories from the 1st game fresh and some friends told me that Kiwami isn't worth replaying due to the lack of extra content compared to the original version, so I'll just hop to Yakuza 2 Kiwami and then the other games in order. I see you're about to finish the whole franchise in due time.

Offline life is taking its toll so I'm just gaming recently as far as hobbies are concerned, gotta choose one at a time, but slow and steady we go!

Well, good luck with Gasaraki, I'm groupwatching 2 episodes per week and wow, it is incredibly sluggish. I though Legend of the Galactic Heroes prepared me for political speeches, how naive I was... not bad per se but the characters suffers from a complete lack of charisma 99% of the time and the geopolitical aspect, while realistic and deeply elaborated, is unengaging and half of the time it feels like you're watching a CNN news documentary rather than an anime. I'm curious to see what you'll think when it's your turn.

I'm guessing your groupwatching is on-hold and now you're rewatching Zeta to reaffirm your love to Char and his cool bike pic on Anilist :)

MAL comment, finally!

Oh, I am replaying some DMC 5 with auto-attack mode and just now I realize how simple-minded my combos were, the AI is doing wonders with my characters, it's strangely cheap yet fun since I know for sure these sick combos are not using my skills neither brains. When I have an AI with such flexibility at my side, I started paying less attention to my arm choices so anything was fine.

Well, I bought K7 on Steam and it's running smoothly now, guess I had to pay and I'll gladly do so when it's dirt cheap like K7 was on the last Steam promotional sales ($3 is really fair and kind of low), and well, I can see Suda's vision is a bizarre one for sure, wtfdidijustplay was my prime experience after my first 1h run. It has my attention for now. BTW how was your experience with Silver Case? I just played SC for half and hour or so and I felt it was too much of a dense, dialogue-heavy game and I just wasn't in the mood to start another visual novel when I still have 2 others to complete. I decided to just clean my "playing list" before venturing into new grounds, but it reminded me of GiTS/Oshii stuff, and that is a good sign!

Well, about CDProjekt I'll make sure not to buy their stuff for high prices lol, I'll just wait for some sales promotion to get Cyberpunk cheap. Slimy company.

Ah, the manga for Fist of the North Star is a much more time-saver option since you can speedread it like I did, skipping the fillers, hundreds of episodes with dated animation and the added benefit of having great art and (hopefully) fun in the same veins as Jojo, the closest work I know in terms of muscleheads beating the shit outta everyone that breathes and moves. Gotta taste Kenshiro's sweat and tears, the japanese superman. And yeah, both LoGH and YYH with 110 episodes, good luck!

Damn, I didn't think you're such a ME fan to play ME 3 multiple times, I can understand ME 2 though. Hopefully the Legendary Edition will be sold for the fair price at some point so I can replay the franchise for the 1st time (until then, I'll buy a high-end computer, my current one is out of specs to run these kind of games). About ME 3 ending, regardless of the ending you choose, it doesn't feel rewarding/complete so we just have to live with it.

Well, after finishing Samurai Executioner Asaemon (really good as expected) I realize how Daigoro was responsible to liven up things from time to time, in comparison Asaemon suffers a bit from this lack of mood changer with its serious and heavy tone almost all the time... well, not that I shouldn't expect that from stand-alone stories about a guy executing others day by day. I won't hold it against it though, this one is the natural next step after Lone and Wolf since I don't feel like reading the sequel (Shin), the original one ended perfectly where it needed to.

And well, the glossaries are obligatory to fully understand the setting, events and historical characters therefore I also read them all and I used to do so BEFORE initiating a volume (it worked much better that way, with the terminologies still fresh on my mind). I don't mind infodumps so I'm okay.

Oh, I didn't realize Genshiken on MAL was condensed into a single entry. It makes sense now, thanks!

Long commentary, as usual. Have a nice day/week/month and until next time!
PoeticJustice Jun 6, 2021 2:10 PM
It pisses me off how consoomers are rebuying the ME collection knowing that the ending is shit and retroactively ruins the series. Bioware is dead. I feel you about SWTOR. It was something I could never get into and the mass effect dialogue wheel leaves a lot to be desired. This is why I appreciate unvoiced protags because it allows for more freedom in response. Companies never want to shell out the extra dough for the characters to say more lines which sucks. I didn't even bother with Andromeda. As soon as I saw the character designs and facial animations I knew it would be trash. Bioware lacks notable writers anymore like David Gaider. People don't know what they are doing, do not know how to create memorable moments. Andromeda could have been an epic adventure, dealing with the ethics of colonizing new planets. But of course, they screw that up. I agree about fighting games lol. The only genre of games that get me angry. You have to dedicate so much time to mastering combos and fundamentals it just doesn't seem worth it imo. And then the online experience is bad generally. I think my favorite fighting game is honestly soul Calibur and dragon ball fighters. SC is not combo heavy and more neutral based which I prefer. Dragon Ball Fighterz is probably the best anime fighting game for me. Not too complex and fun to play casually. I do enjoy tekken and have been getting back into Virtua Fighter which just released free on PSN. I wish I had the dedication to master a fighting game but it takes months of consistent practice which deters me.

I think Disney fucked up star wars as an IP. The new trilogy was so bad it kind of ruined everything and every game that follows that canon will be trash. Tbh I can't even think of a company that would do star wars justice. Bioware is trash. A star wars RTS is a good idea and could work. I bought old star wars game on steam and it is crazy how much more interesting they are than the new series. Stuff like Dark Forces and Jedi Outcast were all interesting. Shame republic commando never got a sequel. KOTOR should probably remain dead. As you said, the time for a sequel has passed.

My brother is into SMT. I view it as a darker pokemon and definitely better than pokemon. Usually has religious themes like reincarnation etc. I will probably watch my brother play it. It is crazy how game freak fucks up a simple formula. All you have to do is make it look good but they can't get it running well or looking good. Sword and Shield is pathetic. Let's Go looked good though. But I've been looking into pokemon alternatives like Digimon. Yeah from Brilliant Diamond, the chibi shit is ass. They shouldn't charge full price for a game that looks like that.

Yeah that is true. I miss the kind of AA games that used to come out especially in the ps2 era. People were experimenting. You would get games like Godhand, Okami, Shadow of the Colossus. Big game companies do not want to experiment anymore and it sucks. Bro, the open world genre is trash to me. It is oversaturated and as you said it s full of padding and meaningless content. I don't think games can refine the open world genre at this point. I do appreciate games like BOTW and Dying Light which experiment with movement and physics. But Shit like days gone or horizon zero dawn is just derivative shit to me. Im waiting for SAO VR where I am fully in the game. Then goodbye real life. Nah, I haven't gotten to hades yet. I've been playing RE Village, and Rogue Galaxy mostly.

They get what they deserve. Cyberpunk is screwed on a fundamental level, I don't think updates can fix it. Muh witcher 4 can't save them. Fuck Yongyea for hyping them up. I'll check them out. I think I've watched a snicketyslice video before. I watch RagnarRox vids. Since you want to get into survival horror, this dude does great breakdowns of old school survival horror games and current ones. He got also got me into the legacy of kain series. I like the spherehunter as well. She does good breakdowns of capcom games and RE games especially. I found about Noah Caldwell-Gervais and he also does good analysis vids. He just did one on the KOTOR games.

Ive been tired tbh. Graduate school is hard work as well as my job. At least I can relax during the summer. I want to do a lot of things this summer like learning Spanish, reading some books etc. Hbu. How have you been?
Bebop_cadu Jun 5, 2021 3:30 PM
Thanks for accepting. your favorites are amazing.

Guigas Mar 28, 2021 8:06 AM
About DMC 5, I replayed on the auto-combat mode and Nero was much better to play with the help of the A.I. I take back what I said about devil breakers, it’s actually fine and I was underusing Nero’s resources, though there were too many options and I kept using the ones that fit my playstyle the most. I bet my favorite were Punch Line and Ragtime because slowing down the combat got me out of some pinches.

The only reason I didn’t play NMH is because it was not available for PS or PC and although Backloggd states that an Android version exists, I couldn’t find it via Play Store to play on my mobile. Did you emulate on PC or do you own a Nintendo of some sorts? About Killer 7, I tried playing on PC and it kept crashing for no reason, -sadface
I will try another installer someday, maybe it’s my computer…

Oh I see, when I first read “hard to get a hold of”, it sounded like the game was such an oddball that anyone unfamiliar would take some time to get used to its style, but from the first hour I had with Silver Case I can say these Suda games are quite eccentric indeed.

Hatoful is too long for such puny content, honesty. It’s sad I actually read it on Youtube instead of using the time for anything else.

I see, things are clearer now. So the ones left are Sekiro, DS II and Demon’s (old or new), almost there!

Regardless what I have to say about Devotion, you should play both Red Candle games, if only for the sensational atmosphere and the oppressive/LSD narrative that might click with you. With the launch of Cyperpunk 2077 and the Devotion vs GOG, CDProjekt Red cements itself as a company that does not take any responsibilities…

Oh, you don’t need to justify your stand concerning LoGH, I was pulling your leg there! Eventually their time will come. LoGH and YYH are the best +100 anime I’ve seen for sure! About Fist of the North Star, I’d say the manga is a much better choice, the muscle anatomy and backgrounds there are super detailed in comparison with the dated anime. Manly!

Wait which ending did you take on ME 3? I took the Synthsis ending out of curiosity…

Mass Effect franchise is all about diversity and worked its themes around the idea that these differences make them stronger, that every individual matter and they can get along to prevent the universe destruction... and synthesis ending destroys these ideas. Let's just give everyone a lobotomy, ehhh. I loved 99% of the game before the ending though.

And no, I have zero interest in another new ME due to the aforementioned problems and recent history but I’ll certainly (re)play the Legendary Edition for a fair price with different choices and playstyle, ME 2 and 3 (ending aside) are excellent experiences and with so much content that I’m itching to revisit.

The Itto/Daigoro dynamic is hard to pull off and I believe Daigoro is the best infant character of all time (revisiting my favorite section, I have to make room for him at some point). It’s amazing how much emotion and expressiveness Daigoro emanates with his tiny body language and the chapters focused on him left a deep mark on me and how he is devoted to Itto to the point of self-sacrifice (being forced to mature so fast is mind boggling). The chapters where he just acts as a kid playing or crying also weights a ton, acting as a counterpoint and at the same time emotionally supporting the demonic Itto with his humanity in a scenario so chaotic such as this.

The stand-alone stories are also magnificently affecting and authentic. The level of historical, social and geographical research to produce such scenarios is out of this world and I can only applaud this level of commitment and passion. Plus the art is gold. Only qualm I have is that some infodumps are excessive.

What did you think about Genshiken? I’m curious as why it is rated 5 on MAL and 7 on Anilist, which one is correct? Heheheheh.

Yeah MMOs are not really satisfying. It is more about the gameplay loop than a quality experience. Good for people who like the grind, but it is not for people who like campaigns and stuff. Although I did here good things about FFXIV, specifically the Heavensward expansion. Yeah SWTOR is trash. There are no talented people left at bioware sadly. Everyone is abandoning ship and they have nothing good on the horizon. Does COD or Overwatch get you angry? Something about those games brings out the rage in me lol. Same with fighting games as well.

2021 is setting up to be another bunk year. This damn virus is screwing everything up. Apparently, FromSoft devs had to work at home so that really delayed the development process and it may not come out this year. SMTV will probably be pushed back. The state of play and Nintendo directs were pretty lackluster. Although nintendo did have a couple interesting games. Particularly no more heroes 3. The pokemon direct was disappointing as well. Pokemon Legends Arceus looks interested but the Diamond and Pearl Remakes are completely shot. What the hell were they thinking with the chibi style? Gamefreak sucks ass.

I mean, I want people to enjoy my hobby. It is just like you said, AAA development has become homogenized. We used to have new ips all the time in PS2 era. Now we get the same over the shoulder sequels that lack creativity or innovation. Yeah, Ive been looking into indie games. I just got Hades recently and am interested in testing it out. Yeah, mechs are an underrated game genre. Maybe From Soft will develop an Armored Core game after Elden Ring. I hope so. Yeah FFVIIR is on sale for 30 right now, and is gonna be a ps+ game so it is a good thing you waited.

Im the same way bro. I never finish things. But fatal frame and alien isolation are both very good horror games. It is a shame isolation underperformed. A sequel would have been great.

I heard CDprojekt got hacked recently and it will delay the next Cyberpunk patch. That game is such a monumental failure. All the good will they have acquired is gone. That is what happens when you go corporate instead of making a game that you are passionate about. You have meet deadlines. Yea, Yong is such a parasite. I hate when I see him in my recommended videos. I watch some game analysis youtubers. Do you have any you'd recommend?
