@Wile: Not part of the club, but I fit the requirements and I definitely didn't force myself to watch mediocre shows... It's more to do with how you approach your ratings. I rarely give out tens because there are very, very few series that I feel truly deserve it. The ones that do just stand THAT much higher than everything else.

And besides, IIRC, if you look at the descriptions next to the numbers when you're rating something, a 7 is good and 8 is very good. So it's not as if a series is automatically mediocre just because it didn't get a 9 or a 10.

I like the idea of your elitist club, but the rules force members to complete mediocre series. How else would they keep below 10% top score?
