Click the Com-to-Com button for a quick refresher. =P

I'm doing fine. Mostly watching Fate/Zero this season. Nichijou is pretty amazing.

Kupoop | 04-08-12, 2:37 AM
Heyo.

You probably don't remember me. We used to talk about metal bands, movies, poetry, and other fine arts.
'Sup?

HAPPY BIRTHDAYYY~!!

roriconfan | 08-30-11, 3:33 AM
Open the link dammit, it was The Maxx, not Noir...

I really like the current Thundercats reboot. The intro is disappointinly small but there are many who fixed that with tributes. Here is one by a Greek player

It wasn't planned to be genre specific or anything, I just happen to know a lot more obscure Jazz that I think very highly of then obscure other genres. Anyways check out School of Hard Knocks if you can find it, good lesser known East Coast Hip Hop. Still no hard drive.

Beyond Tatami and Penguin Drum? Try this cartoon, it is very dark and artistic.

Alright, took me a while but finished it.

1st Part (Somewhat Baroque influenced Pop, transitional phase to Pet Sounds) + 2nd Part (Insanely artistic leap from Pet Sounds, orchestras, songs about Zen Buddhism, etc.): http://www.mediafire.com/?06f0earqopnbf31

3rd Part (Deformed eccentric melodies, people chanting about vegetables, melodic less noises, lo-fi conversations, etc.): http://www.mediafire.com/?86xd60v33hjf5al

4th Part (Brian's last attempt as a mentally collapsed producer feature some lowly produced soul cuts and Baroque Sunshine Pop, also includes some tracks from the "20/20" album which was after Brian really withdrawed and the band threw tracks together from everywhere): http://www.mediafire.com/?64q7n9uwuib7tw5

5th Part (The "band effort" disc, Brian's brothers really come through as strong talents while Brian turns in a low number of mostly high quality material and does Cocaine in his room while being amazed at other people's music): http://www.mediafire.com/?bw90bqnxks0os2p

6th Part (Brian Wilson suddenly comes back for one final BB album "Love You", featuring his new hoarse cocaine vocals and off beat production using Synthesizers to keep up with the times. Also a bunch of lo-fi demos): http://www.mediafire.com/?fp8g9okjbqc16oa

I had to leave out a lot of stuff still lol. Pet Sounds and Surf's Up aren't on there sense you already heard them, and some of Brian's outsider music isn't there (liking his attempt to make a fairy tale or him singing about dumb shit over a swing band) as well as some good solo material and some novelty stuff like Brian's therapist making him rap:

Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee
My name is Brian and I'm the man
I write hit songs with a wave of my hand
Songs of surf and sun and sand
I make great music with my band
Songs you dance to and songs of joy
I'm the original Beach Boy

Everybody's gone surfin' Surfin USA

All the songs I used to write
Talked about girls who weren't too bright
Round round get around I got around
What I was lookin' for I never found
As time goes on I've seen the light
Intelligent chicks are dynamite

When I grow up to be man
Giddy-up giddy-up 409

Now some guys like the flashy types
And some guys dig the ugly types
I'm no different from the rest
I love hips and legs and breasts
But strictly on a higher plane
What really turns me on's her brain

Smart girls, talkin' 'bout smart girls
Sexy legs with high IQs
Smart girls, I love the smart girls
You brainy babes with your attitudes

Smart smart smart smart girls

Did I love you little surfer girl
Or was it just your bod and long blonde curls
Fun fun fun was all we heard
Cruisin' in her daddy's thunderbird
Ba ba ba ba barbara ann
She ran away with another man

This is the worst trip
Help me, Rhonda
Get her out of my heart

Rhonda helped helped, helped me for a while
Not much going on behind her smile
I wanna hot hot, massive stimulation
Women with more imagination
Yeah smart girls are my inspiration
Given me
Good good good good vibrations

Wouldn't it be nice
If they gave PHDs
For strokin' me with hypotheses
Gimme a gal who teaches school
Who's not afraid to break the rules
Women doctors and lawyers, too
Can really make a man out of you

Smart girls, talkin' 'bout smart girls
Sexy legs with high IQs
Smart girls, I love the smart girls
You brainy babes with your attitudes

Smart smart smart smart girls

Smart girls
Wish they all could be
Smart girls
Rhyme in poetry
A clever head is a real turn-on
You bright, you brainy amazons
Authors, scientists, and architechts
Sultry babes with intellect

Don't worry baby
Everything will turn out

God only knows what I'd be
Without smart girls
Hip hop and harmony
I'm wiser now, I know where it's at
Intelligence is an aphrodisiac
So if you're seekin' that perfect mate
Listen to Brian, beauty's great but

Smart girls, talkin' 'bout smart girls
Sexy legs with high IQs
Smart girls, I love the smart girls
You brainy babes with your attitudes

Big brains are awesome, dude

Smart smart smart smart girls

Smart girls, talkin' 'bout smart girls
Sexy legs with high IQs
Smart girls, I love the smart girls
You brainy babes with your attitudes

I wanna congratulate you
You were just fine

Fragmented glory, if only he didn't have a mental collapse. I guess the last part's his therapist congrulating him, she overdrugged him and leeched off of him for money. Also his father beat him and his cousin sued him. Talk about unlucky :(.

firerez | 05-11-11, 3:56 PM
oh nice:) i have exams in 2 weeks!!!!! should be very free after my exams too hahaha~

so what are you planning to do at uni?

sunup | 05-10-11, 10:13 PM
Got a link for Kimonos. I want it, but I can't find it.

sunup | 05-10-11, 7:34 PM
http://rateyourmusic.com/customchart

Usually I'll just grab some random genre, or put it show highest rated by friends and check out ones I don't know, occasionally glance through Wire magazine, download random obscure albums from blogs, and get recommendations from people. Tried some internet custom radios but for the most part they're awful, though live365 is pretty good choose a genre radio.
