I've decided to have one troll 10 a season. I'll give it what it deserves when it finishes.

ah i didn't see your manga section. anyways i'm currently reading oyasumi punpun, you should try it, it's good. i'm off to sleep

i'm sorry i'm being an idiot forget it

you need older stuff, cult stuff. i'm not an elitist, i'm just averse to new age crap anime. like are you kidding me, you rated trigun 8, same as Bakemonogatari and other crap. seriously what's wrong with you. and yeah you're a girl, i can understand you like to get wet watching zetsuen no tempest but come on, you need shows of substance, like ginga eiyuu densetsu, and other older shows. i can see also that you don't read any manga, which shows that you're more interested in visuals and cute stuff rather than substance

i consider myself open minded, but it just makes me laugh imagining a grown man with a beard watching baby looking girls screaming histericaly over a popsicle, hey but that's just me

i watched a bit of aria the origination and yeah, mundane stuff, it's relaxing. but you can get better stuff like mushishi or haibane renmei if you want that. i know what moe is, i watched k-on and lots of other shitty anime, they were mainly, a waste of time. i simply don't get why people like so much those type of shows (moe), it's ridiculous. i understand girls like sweet things, hell they're always posting pictures of their cats and looking at them, (in japan they even put the cats face inside their mouth). ok it's a show, it's cute, it can be funny at times, but... there are so much better things to watch out there. most anime fans dont want to involve themselvs in deeper shows, it bores them, they want instant satisfaction, fast food shit anime. i just thing they are shows who are simply too overrated and high ranked due to people's own stupidity and limits. but ok thanks for the opinion

hey, i know you're female and all, but there are a lot of guys ,mainly weaboo elitists, watching lucky star and Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica and rating it as masterpiece. can you explain this phenomena?

allen_aoki | 03-28-13, 5:11 PM
Lol that's right. It's all about alliteration.

In case you find Maoyuu Maou Yuusha lacking but generally like the theme, I recommend you to watch Spice & Wolf instead.

Hi there! I saw your Btooom review.

I thought it was very interesting. Although I initially rated it a 7, I felt something about the show seemed off and it kind of bothered me. After reading your review I think I figured out what it is.

I think your criticism of it being "edgy for the sake of being edgy" is spot on, as well as your criticism of how it depicts rape. The rape scenes seemed so forced and awkward, like they were shoehorned in just for some titillation. They seemed like they are there for, like you said, being mature for the sake of being mature. And that's not even getting in to the whole "I'm gonna commit suicide to preserve my purity" thing and Himiko's character as a whole.

But yes, in short, great review. It's making me rethink several aspects of the show as well as the score I gave it.

DuCk_S3R | 02-03-13, 2:42 AM
I dont really care it its wanting to commit it or fantasizing. Its still pretty messed.

Well thats your opinion, in america but its totally different for certain cultures in the east. Its just one of the big culture differences.

You said that you couldnt see why he would turn on his allies. I dont know if you got sidetracked but during the episode it showed his son and wife telling him to kill them so he could be with them. If he killed his only allies he would be able to make it back home. But that is how i interpreted it.

Nice review on p4a, it articulated the problems I've been having with it succinctly.

DuCk_S3R | 02-02-13, 12:36 AM
"rape fetish isn’t a bad thing" DA FAQ did I just read? must say that pretty much they were both otakus in Psycho pass and btooom that were the rapists.

"problem in itself too, since she explicitly wants to die to protect her purity" It varies with culture. Some cultures are really big, with this. Im pretty sure the muslim culture they actually kill the rape victim in keeping honour for the family. Its messed i dont agree with it but that shit happens in different culutres.

You wrote an essay on it is dedication.

You saw say about mental stability different show but if you started the comparing why not. I love Psycho Pass and has got to be one of my favourite shows airing now. In that first episode where the woman was raped, the mental stability of her changed in a span of minutes and a couple of days is spontaneous?

Well Neptune keep me amused. Game on

DuCk_S3R | 02-01-13, 11:14 PM
If you like dark edgy stories watch Mirai Nikki (Future Diary), When they Cry, some really decent shows that you missed if you "enjoy the dark genre". Now how did it go about depicting rape? Is it with her wanting to kill herself. I dont know, im not a chick but hey creepy fat slob all over me i would rather die myself. How does it work with Psycho Pass but not Btooom! hmm otaku never been close to a girl in his life. All by themselves.

The thing about battle royale is survival and betrayal is a very common theme within these genres. He was always cautious of betrayal and becoming paranoid and dellusional doesn't exactly help. There is also those gems if he killed him Ryouta and Himiko he would be able to go home to his family. Which he was seeing in illusions. It wasnt some spontaneous one event turn on him. You saw his mental stability break down. Not wanting to see the manga? Thats right big boy shows. I enjoyed it. Great show, loved the storyline, liked the music. Characters were decent but. Not a masterpiece. I generally rank shows on my enjoyment. Except for Monster. Monster is a masterpiece but if it was enjoyment it wouldnt be a 10.
