Indeed, Indeed. For instance, I generally prefer a rather flawed character with much room for improvement, because, frequently, they will improve.

Quite. Perfection, 1. Doesn't really exist, and 2. If it did, it would be extremely boring. I can only get that motivated for something if I honestly believe it can/will improve in some way.
Why, thank you. Much appreciated. Too bad my thoughts are essentially my only real value. Everything else about me is complete and utter fail. I mean, my thoughts are just one of my several values, that may possibly outweigh my flaws.

Well, it's not like denying the existence of flaws erases them. Being a natural faultfinder, I get through the days by extracting enjoyment from flaws. I laugh at flaws, my own and those of others. Part of my enjoyment comes from those, because, indeed, nothing is perfect. Except for Inferno Cop, perfection embodied. There must be something to work for, to improve, otherwise it's all so very boring. Thus, what I seek is not perfection in anything, but perhaps something "perfectly imperfect". That is what I consider truly ideal.

But I'll never be the very best. I'll always just be a pretentious pseudo-intellectual with extremely plebeian taste no matter what I do.

I was fine with the pacing of the original HxH anime though. I'm also not too fond of when an adaptation becomes too fast paced and cuts large amounts of material. But I would assume the new one isn't quite like that.
A connoisseur indeed. That is one of my many goals. If anything, I'm only rather experienced in the way of the character. I have even more work to do in terms of anime and manga.

oof, hard decision. i have plenty of free time these days, but you have a point there, so i'll probably continue to hold off on it. i'm just not a manga reader anyway, so it's alright.
i agree, mikasa's actions make sense now after her backstory was revealed, but she's still nearly flawless. did you watch episode 7 yet? (:

It more closely follows the manga and has less filler? I guess I do remember the old anime dragging many scenes out. I may check it out after I finish my probably 100 or so anime/manga that I am required to view in order to be more of a true connoisseur. Hiatuses are painful, but be glad it hasn't been "suspended indefinitely" or just plain old unfinished.

Oh yeah, it was called the Chimera Ant arc. I have way too much other stuff to watch right now, so I'm gonna hold off on the new HxH Anime until later. I would want to start at the beginning anyway, even though I watched all of the older HxH Anime and OVAs. But it is a rather fun series...

Not gonna lie I was looking forward to a Sasuke x Naruto fight, hahah. I guess I wasn't ever expecting Sasuke to try to fix things so I just settled on expecting the fight too, though. I've never disliked Sakura but I never liked her either. She's kind of just there for me, y'know? Maybe she'll earn a point in my book if something comes from her.
Yessir, Nura's definitely a top favourite tbh. But I don't know where to go with this conversation, look I killed this part. Except Tsurara's in your favourite char's yes highfives.
