Kiimi wa Girlfriend / You're My Girlfriend: A story about a high-school girl who has some personality issues, thus resulting in not having any friends...until she met a guy. Except there's a catch......he's gay. How will both of their lives progress?!?! Happily-ever-after or a situation spiraling out of control?!?!

[Story - 10] The story in Kimi wa Girlfriend really intrigued me. I personally found it interesting to see whether two polar opposites will be able to get along or not. It may be a fairly common storyline amongst manga, but it's always interesting in it's own, unique ways. In this case, a mean girl surrounded by older brothers and a kind boy surrounded by older sisters.

[Art - 9] The art. I always thought that art in manga were very detailed, especially with all those strands of hair and all but this book's art was fantabulous! The expressions fit the environment and situation and at times can be very hilarious. Clean panel layouts with fun(ny) side dialog.

[Character - 10] Usually in manga the girls' personality was kind and sweet but the main heroine in this one totally blew me away. EXACT opposite of what usual feminine personalities were. Every storyline changes made in the middle of the book was extremely off my predictions due to the unpredictability the author has made the characters. Every turn is a new one. Made the storyline POP out and extremely fun to read.

[Overall - 10] A solid 10 hands down. I was drawn in the book from start to finish. The author definitely knows how to do her job right. Satisfied my demands and leaves me wanting more... read more

Down to business boyos

Bloody Kiss, a manga that involves the progressing life of a young woman who lives with some vampires; a dangerous yet strange situation at the same time.

basically this was how I rated this work:

[Story - 9]
It was a storyline that I've never seen nor read about. Life with vampires. It was a brilliant idea, putting a sort of monster amongst the race that called them 'monsters' in the first place. In all honesty, I liked it. It was a slice-of-life kind of book but it had certain twists that made it a little bit more interesting than most.

[Art - 10]
The art. The author had a sort of style that made the expressions easy for me to read and understand. The book itself was in neat organization with clean panels that allow the reader to fully absorb the visuals in short time. Personally, the character designs were top-notch.

[Character - 9]
The characters were interesting. They drew me in along with the storyline and made the situation's mood either comical, serious, or romantic despite the fact that there were some cliche personalities often seen in most romance manga.

[Overall - 10]
I give Bloody Kiss a solid 10 overall. A good solid storyline followed up with excellent art with attention drawing characters. Bloody Kiss has earned my applause and an encore. read more
