This is Mass-Comment from Tomboy/ Feminist Anime Girls Club
And I'm glad to tell you that our club is (more or less) alive again ;D
So~~ the first round of The Best Tomboy Tournament is now closed and the results are:
4th place - de Beaumont Lia (16 votes)

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai is probably what you're looking for. Make sure to watch both seasons though, as you need the second season to fully grasp the first. It has cute/moe lolis + a nice story. The action... is different. It's more horror themed action, than beamspam or fist fights. I would give it a try though.

Hmm... You can start by watching Hidamari Sketch x365,
I can't think of anything right now, but you can try Seto no Hanayome, Lucky Star, and the School Rumble series is worth watching too I'm my opinion.

If all else fails, the MGLN movie should help get rid of the bitter taste in your mouth. Super happy that the Nanoha franchise is still going strong. xD
...and thats a reasonable explanation for having StrikerS listed in favorite anime, heh.
As for anime, well, give me a general idea of what kind you're looking for and I'll give you a few recommendations.

Nanoha StrikerS? I won't go into detail, but I enjoyed it. You just have to appreciate it for what it is. The characters make StrikerS as everything else about it is sub-par at best. Ofcourse, I'm not a fan of the new characters from StrikerS but Fate more than makes up for them. It's nice to see how Nanoha and Fate have matured over the years. Yes. ^^
I see you have StrikerS on your 'favorite anime' list... Why have it there if you hated it so much? lol
Have to love those Email notifications, I don't know what I'de do without them. xD
