That's great that MM grew on you but for me, it was really hard to sit still at their AX concert when I just couldn't like any of their songs at all. I've been to AX concerts for singers/groups that I wasn't too familiar with before but I've always managed to like at least a couple of songs. With MM all 3 songs in a row were so "bad" to my ears that my friends and I really couldn't take it anymore.

In all honesty, I wanted to like them since they are so popular but it was almost like forcing myself to sit and listen to nails on a chalkboard. Not that they were that "bad', but I just honestly couldn't bring myself to like them. Maybe I should just look up some of their songs on YouTube 'cuz their live certainly wasn't working for me.

I am familiar with jpop in general so I do know that a lot of singers have that cutesy voice and that doesn't really bother me as long as the song is good and catchy but I didn't really find any of MM's songs good at all (at least whatever they sang at the concert). They didn't sound that good live to me either. Yeah their voices are cute alright, but their singing voices to me didn't sound as good "vocally" compared to previous AX performers, I kinda felt like they just all sang together in a group just to hide the fact that their voices aren't really all that great live, but then again that's just my opinion and I respect the fact that you like them.

OMG, I can't believe I babbled on that much about how much I didn't enjoy the MM concert. I'm so sorry. Don't mean to offend you though.

Anyway, about manga, what have you been buying/collecting lately?

I know what you mean about being busy. At least you've still managed to complete more anime than I have.

Haha, same here. If I know that I'm going to be out in the sun for a fairly long amount of time, I always try to wear sunscreen. I used to have bad tan lines before when I didn't >_<

AX was my first convention as well. I've been going every single year since 2005. I'll admit the first time I went, I didn't really do much except for walk around the Exhibit Hall and look at all the merchandise that was being sold. It was a last minute idea by some friends of mine to go there so we were like so unprepared about the events and other things that went on in there.

I can pretty much say that I've now pretty much checked out all of their main events at least once. I've probably got a lot more done this year than I have with all of the previous years.

Most of my favorite novels were stuff that I've read for school. Not necessarily the stuff that English teachers assign you to read, but stuff that we had to pick out ourselves for book reports, etc.

I haven't read much novels lately since I'm more into manga now, but that doesn't mean that I won't give something a try if it sounds interesting.

Some people assume that most people who read comics in general, don't read "real" books, but that's not true.

It's ok. A lot of Filipinos DO have dark skin. I've been to the Philippines before and that's usually what you see, especially in the countryside where most people are farming and doing other work under the intense summer heat. Oddly enough, most of their celebrities there are light-skinned. It's almost like you can't be a celebrity unless you're light-skinned or look like you're mixed = /

But I'm not THAT light skinned. I still have a little bit of color but I'm not like totally pale in person, LOL.

Well next month I'm going to Anime Expo so I'm very excited and saving up my money for that.

I'll also try to catch up on any unfinished anime/manga as well = )

Yeah, that's kinda the purpose of the club. I kinda got the idea since I was kinda a manga noob myself and always wondering what to read. I used to visit AN a lot to get ideas on what to check out since buying manga is an expensive hobby.

I later found out that there are tons of manga (both scanned and licensed) that go under the radar of the majority of readers.

Yup, we should definitely chat and exchange manga recommendations or something some time = )

Heh, I usually finish my homework before few days before the due date. English is my least favorite subject, so I have a good reason to post my homework. :P Yeah, luck for me, I got a eight hours of sleep after I aware for Daylight Saving. :> After I looked at my college's schedule, it will be starting in April even though, I have a class on Monday only. :/ I'm glad that you will get it on the next week! My class will starts in 6:30pm today. :(

Oh, I bought four manga in Barnes & Noble today. :D Vampire Knight vol. 6 was supposed not to be out until April. How nice for them release it early and I bought it at once! xD

Yeah, I noticed. I guess I have to re-do that again. :P
